i taught my dog to use a dog door (his first time) within like 1 day, simple trick. just push the dog through the door in and out a few times so he will learn it is okay. this does not hurt the dog.
my dog won’t go anywhere near it, bc she got her leg stuck in it once. can i teach her how to do it?
My husband tried that with our new dog and he lost trust in him and now he acts skittish towards husband. I dont want to do that because I dont want the dog to stop trusting me as well.

I remember a different dog clip on how to train them. I have just had one installed for my nearly 3 year old and she will go through with the flap up, but not with it down. I am guessing it will take a little bit for her to learn it will not hurt her and she is safe. It is dang cold in winter having to leave a door open for her to get inside and outside.
Our standard poodle Duke was shown the doggy door and worked out how to use it in a couple minutes . His sister Daisy took a few minutes longer . Now they use it all the time and come and go as they please..

Why couldn’t anyone there see that the doors is way to small now. SMH that they needed a “professional” to figure that out
It was kinda obvious that that large dog needed a larger door.
Ok my dog wont go through the dog door with flap up, but once flap down no go. Tryed everything treats, stranger to dogs in back yard but nothing working. One dog no problem at all. This is not ideal, desprate for solution pls.
