The EPA demands 4 door trucks or you get like a luxury tax for poor people if that makes any sense. Just like all taxes they say "Oh we are only gonna tax the rich, don't worry about it".
The end result is a extra 600 lbs in doors , roof and computers.
Look up EPA taxes to see the craziness.

Great review. The rear seat space is awful, that's the only problem with this truck IMO. Otherwise it's a great truck.
I think this truck has a perfectly average track width and it should be proud of it… 😅 All joking aside, I love this thing, and the wheels actually look good, nice review fellas!
Hate being that guy, but technically it’s a damped tailgate not dampened. Unless you’re pouring water on it!😂
The 8 Speed is a Gen 2 Redesign. NOT Riddled with Problems.
We're very excited about that and did not experience any problems in our stint. It's a great package!
The Rear seat fold up seat storage area is the worst part of this truck!! That compartment floor area is atrocious! WTF i am going to put in the tailgate flat small compartment! This is not a swiss army truck storage unit, other trucks do it better
You need to order the Tow package to get the rear tow assembly
You can’t change the rims with a full size GM truck.The offset are different.
Lower displacement petrol engines in TRUCKS shoud definitely be SUPERCHARGED instead turbocharged because in tems of torque delivery what is minor issue in SUV it is quite a drawback in truck that is primarily purposed to carry heavy load in terrain where maximum power is needed in lowest speeds....I really wonder how the truck with this engine would make a move towing 3ton boat trailer climbing steep muddy river bank...
I have owned diesels my entire life. Designed by GM diesel team, and can tow lugging it. Tows like a diesel, and does Not have to be deep into boost.. not anything like I have experienced. Unloaded so effortless

GM is lucky that Wolksvagen doesn't sell Amarok in the USA and it's Ford equvalent doesn't offer EU specs and trims....they would have biiiig trouble justify their equipmennt packages and pricing....

The construction solution in terms of vertical space in second row is very unlikely. Flat floor versus lowered headliner accomating roof window...sorry GM but spending billions in development and still making some things too compromised and faaaar from perfect...what's the point doing sort of "half way job" when new age of Cybertruck is opening?
