the store you bought the coffee has a big grinder and your going straight home to brew it. Note that I have a fancy conical burr grinder at home.
He's back!
I am!
I won't be making this one but your explanations are always terrific. Thanks for the great channel.
Thanks!
I’ve wanted to do this for sometime now. I do have a beer gas set up, be been brewing for 10 years, over 300 batches brewed.
Congrats on 300 batches, wow!
You messed up the other way, 4:27 you said you were using coffee stuff lol. Love all the videos, very informative and easy to watch. Thank you.
😆 you’re right!
Love this it’s such a you video with the nitro coffee setup!
Got to admit though love the idea, I live for coffee So to have that on tap would be a dream!
It’s dangerously easy to keep topping up between conference calls.
@@TheHomebrewChallenge I’m honestly not surprised! I’d probably keep topping up in between meetings and ceremonies just to keep the brain alive!
Solid Collab! Haha some day I’ll get a nitro setup for this very thing. And beer too
So worth it for nitro beer!
One of these days I'm going to get a nitro setup, that looks delicious.
Yes highly recommend. Nitro beer is wonderful.
How you grind your coffee bean will affect the flavor of your coffee, I would recommend buying a burr grinder and doing a comparison.
Yes for hot coffee I do use a hand grinder for more precise control.
New BJCP guidelines are out. Think they added a few more beers. . .Also, are the sour beers you brewed finished aging?
Yes its probably time to do something with those two sour beers in the closet. It's been a year.
You should look into using a burr grinder, it’s a more consistent grind
Can you use a home brew stout with one of these?
Do you add cream and sugar?
Would that coffee infuser work with a stout. Instead of beergas
did you blur the examination stamp?^^
Great video...how long do you recommend to keep the coffee in the keg before making a new batch?
It’s never survived longer than 2 weeks before the keg was drained. Not sure how much longer it would keep.
Hi, I want to start a small project selling nitro coffee, and I wanted to know if I used a 20 liter nitrogen gas bottle, a 9 liter barrel, and a 40 pressure pump. How long does a nitrogen gas bottle last? Do I keep the nitrogen gas bottle open after pumping it into the barrel, and should I leave the nitro coffee for a while? Can you provide it directly? Thank you
Hi, I have a question about using a keg system to prepare Nitro Coffee using a 4-kilogram nitrogen gas cylinder with a pressure of 40psi What quantity can I prepare until the nitrogen gas cylinder becomes empty?"
I would love to see a side by side pour of the nitro with and without the infuser. I have a nitro setup at home and I don’t know if I want to spend $500 for something that just saves me a little time. Unless it keeps the coffee cascading for much much longer. Please post a video with a comparison if you don’t mind. I recently started making nitro infused hibiscus tea it is really refreshing and great for an weekday evening drink.
Also how easy does the infuser clean up? If I switch between coffee and tea or even beer how simple is the cleaning of the nitro pro infuser?
seems the infuser is just a device that infuses nitrogen on the fly vs waiting for it to infuse and shaking the keg. 500 bucks and up. perhaps in a high volume commercial setting it is worthwhile vs a series of kegs fed by a tank via manifold.
Beer gas with CO2 will not only make it fizzy but it will form carbonic acid and your coffee with taste "sour"
Thanks for the explanation. Definitely to be avoided then!
Just got a new 4 tap kegerator and I am planning on using one of the taps for Cold Brew. I wanted to steep the coffee grounds right in the 2.5G keg any thoughts on that.
Maybe if you transfer it off into another keg, because it is possible to oversteep
Agree, two keg solution probably the best. You want to get the coffee off the grinds.
Sounds a bit like Charlie Brown music. Vince Guaraldi?
Beer is better than coffee
make a great name for a boozer:
The Bag and Hammer
Was that food grade nitrogen?
Yes should have pointed that out. Food grade.
Just checking we've covered 'consistent grind size' Ok, continue.
Not a coffee video without that coming up…
Wow those infusers are expensive!
Just buy a coffee grinder Martin.
How are you so skinny, the camera adds 10 lbs, with the amount of beer you drink? 😁😁
