Hi, if when you've removed as much of the weed as you can, you pour boiling water from the kettle over the roots or remaining stalk you can see it kills the roots and stops the weed returning xxx
What a productive day! In future, if it were me 😁, I’d put a towel in the bath before putting heavy hob/oven stuff in there, that should cut down on potential scratches on the bath surface - too many small scratches and the bath won’t come clean properly Also, my hob is a similar construction to yours and came with instructions not to clean the burner bits with anything other than washing up liquid as the finish could be destroyed - not sure though if you could “season” those bits like you have your frying pan? and make them look a bit newer And, a little note of caution about using vinegar too often, the seals on things like kettles, dishwashers, washing machines etc can be destroyed by acetic acid (vinegar) - lots of modern appliances come with a warning “vinegar is not recommended”. Once in a while is probably ok, regularly, probably not. Plumbers in the UK also caution about using bicarbonate down the drain systems too often as it can form a sludge and block pipes, it can also help cause larger grease-bergs further down our Victorian drain systems - same as none of these so-called flushable wipes are flushable - the only flushable thing is toilet paper as they’re designed to disintegrate swiftly, as anyone who’s ever tried to use toilet paper to wipe up anything knows 😂
I also really don't like going to a hairdresser! But it always feels great when your hair is cut. It really helps now my brother is a barber and will cut my hair 😅
Hi Kay..love your videos..they are so, therapeutic wholesome, motivational and very relateable to everyday life. Thank you for filming whilst you are pregnant. You are glowing, your skin and hair looks naturally lovely. Love the sheer simplicity of your life, I am all for it and just love your videos that is all about being ethical, unlike a lot of other YT videos that spend ridiculous amount of money. Cant wait for the little bundle of joy ❤❤❤❤❤
Morning Kay, hope you are keeping well in your pregnancy . Keep Positive not too long now until you meet your new bundle of Joy! 🩷💙? I the Poundshop they do a thin metal tool that goes in between the paving stones and along the wall to get weeds out easier. I find Mr Muscle shower spray is great to clean glass and windows. Your hair looked nice with a trim and you have a nice colour brown hair. I have fine limp and found having long hair was no good . So I now have short hair and it looks a lot thicker AND easier to manage . Never use heated appliances on it as it is thin it drys so quick naturally on its own. Have enjoyable Sunday. X ❤
I love the cleaning videos. Sitting on the sofa drinking coffee and watching someone else working is great, especially all the monthly things - feels like I’ve did all my housework now. Lol 🤗. Will start tomorrow, I think !
If you mix 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 water & add a dash of dish soap, it will kill your weeds. It will also kill your grass, so it would be good on your patio, but not your lawn. Hope this helps! ❤
Oven cleaning is probably the job everyone hates but needs doing - The key is do little and often. White vinegar is great but can affect some oven linings. Your ethics for using natural nappies with liners is great but don't feel defeated if when baby arrives you use disposable too. There are only so many hours in a day. Lovely video and you are blooming🌞
I take my washing machine drawer out every time I use it, rinse and dry I then put it back the next day and I have never had mould . I also push a dry cloth in the bottom of the rubber door seal and leave it until next use to soak up any water leaving the door ajar. I can honestly say I have never seen any mould.
If you ever have to replace your stove/cooker I would highly recommend an induction hob and a convection oven. The induction hob is breeze to clean. You’re looking great.🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you Kay, you’ve definitely inspired me. For the weeds, have you tried a weed burner, you can get ones that use gas or can get electric ones. They’re good as they’re natural and burn the weeds down to the roots, I hope that helps Wishing you a good week 😀🌻
Great video. To help keep the washer clean, I remove the detergent drawer after each wash, drain, and leave it out until I use the washer again. It really cuts down on the grunge.
A secret I learned to stove grime soak in hot water with a few dryer sheets for a few hours. When you wash them the stuff washes right off them. Then I rewash with dish soap then wipe down with vinegar .
@@MargrietVP I’m in the US and here they’re small disposable fibrous squares that we put in the tumble dryer to prevent static and soften the clothes. If you air-dry your clothes and don’t have a tumble dryer you’d never need them, but here everyone uses a tumble dryer so they’re common. A lot of people are switching to wool dryer balls though to at least make it a little less wasteful.
We’ve recently started using vinegar and salt poured directly onto the weed and has worked on most of them! Only use on weeds that are popping out of the ground and not near grass or flowers.
I use them just on the bottom of the oven... definitely saves a lot of time and cleaning... gently slide out and tip any bits in the bin....then wipe over ...x
Nesting in full swing! I am going to get one of those heated airers! Wanted one for ages and Mine collapsed yesterday haha so finally going to take the plunge! X
Very motivating ❤ You can use white vinegar with a little bit of washing up liquid on your patio. Alternatively, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda along the cracks.
How very motivating! My oven racks are in desperate need of cleaning - I'm going to try your method. Also, I didn't know there's a way to get the oven door glass! Mine has drips running down it that were there when I bought my house. Gonna have to give it a try! Have a good week, Kay!
Brilliant video Kay. I always use soda crystals for washing machine and outside steps, bath, sink drains with boiling water.. Maybe slosh a bucket full up the passage you've just swept.
Hi Kay, I always enjoy your videos. I found you back when you brought home Echo. We have a part ragdoll cat and he is the sweetest thing just like your kitties. I’m from the US but my husband and I are currently in England. We’re in the Cotswolds right now and enjoying it so much. It’s so beautiful and picturesque and the people have been really nice and kind. I’m so happy for you and Dom and looking forward to meeting your little guy. You’re going to be an amazing Mum!
Great motivation Kay. You are looking beautiful and your hair looks lovely now that the ends have been trimmed. Happy rest of the week (looking forward to an Indian Sumer here in the UK) ❤☀️ ❤
I’m a new subscriber but I gotta say I enjoy your videos and energy soooo much! Your so relatable and just have the sweetest vibe! Congrats on your baby! I’m on my ttc journey for baby number 1 and your pregnancy videos warm my heart! Thank you for sharing your life and light ❤️
Thankyou ,.. you’ve made me write my list of things I need to get done ❤ Look after yourself ..please don’t over do it !!💕 Have a wonderful day Kaye …you are looking amazing and so excited for your baby ..xxx
Hi Kay, love watching your videos for a while, thank you for your dedication! You mentioned the hard water so thought I would mention water softeners in case you hadn’t considered it, keeps things clean and it makes for lovely showers and baths. It’s definitely a luxury but we have one for my son’s eczema so it’s an essential. Thought I would share anyway xx
Thank you for sticking around 🥰 Ooh that's a good call, I might look into them! I know from living in different places that soft water is so much better for my hair too!
*Save your back, Kay* Soak your hob parts in the bath, but when it comes time to scrub, move to the kitchen sink: it gives you access to clean water and... ✨ _you get to stand up._ ✨
Just found your channel and it’s so lovely! English Pregnant homemaker with a ragdoll cat too here !! Also been doing some jobs I’d been putting off (i washed my shower curtain and felt very accomplished! What do you use to mop your floors that’s safe for your kitties? ❤
Ishall be trying the oven next week, need ro workout how to remove the glass sohoping Google will help for the model!I shall definitely be buying the crystals and trying to make the spray, thanks for sharing xx
So worth figuring out! I don't know how I coped for so long not being able to clean between 😂 Would drive me mad when things got between the glass! Hope you're able to figure it out and it's not too tricky 🥳
@@Livingthelifeyoulove Kay I've worked it out! It's a Smeg🤣and they showed it so easy! Can't believe it,guess I'm going crystal shopping today🤣can let it soak all day whilst I sort the garden.Thankyou I'm very inspired now xx
Kay I'm going to horrify you now but I really think it's important before you have your little man .Wicker baskets are not suitable for anything damp .Take your basket and shake it over the bath and you will see little mites called phocids crawling in the bath .All wicker as beautiful as it becomes full of them if it gets damp and I know you'd be horrified if they got on your babys clothes not to mention the holes they create in the clothes .😊
😆 I remember reading a quote that said a weed is a flower growing where it shouldn't grow... well that one is pretty insistant on living next to the drain - keeps coming back to say hello 😂
Lovely video. If your washing machine has a bleach dispenser, put vinegar in it for each load. It helps. Ours had a smell. I ran the clean cycle and then started using the vinegar with each cycle. It solved the problem. Plus letting it air out.
Thank you for this. I watched this yesterday and it gave me such motivation. Today I washed my washing machine & oven. So thank you x
Hello Kay and dom ,arr congratulations on yr baby ,u will be a good little mum ,and dom will be a good little dad x
I've never used a front loading washing machine. It's so fascinating watching you clean it, as a result.
Your video inspired me to clear out and clean my whole fridge while watching. Ready for a trip to the market to fill it with good things!
You have inspired me to clean the shower panel seal and maybe the oven 😊 thanks x ❤

I love your narrow, walkway with the brick walls.🫶🏻🤎
I use an electric weed burner to burn down into the roots of the weeds. Has really helped keep things under control and its a bit addictive 😅
I also really don't like going to a hairdresser! But it always feels great when your hair is cut. It really helps now my brother is a barber and will cut my hair 😅

If you put an old towel in the bottom of the bath to protect it xx
I've so neglected my washing machine 🙈 Amazed it's lasted for about 10 years! Great video Kay x

Hi Kay 👋
Great vlog baking soda to clean with is the best. Have a great week ahead take care Louise X
Hi Kaye
Thank you for shairng also if you have those silly little areas to clean an old toothbrush is very handy, hope all goes well with baby xxxx

Can I ask what dryer sheets are? I think we don't have those in the Netherlands 😅

We’ve recently started using vinegar and salt poured directly onto the weed and has worked on most of them! Only use on weeds that are popping out of the ground and not near grass or flowers.
I do that as well and it works so well! I usually pay them two days in a row and then pull them
youn know you can oven liners made from silicone for the oven and grill trays from Amazon. You just pull them out and wipe down and back they go.
I use them just on the bottom of the oven... definitely saves a lot of time and cleaning... gently slide out and tip any bits in the bin....then wipe over ...x

I use a butter knife just to dig under the weeds in between flagstones and dig them up by the root, that way they grow back slower 🌱❤
This is just the kind of video I needed today to get me motivated! Love your channel - you’re so inspiring! Love from Tennessee ❤
Brilliant video Kay. I always use soda crystals for washing machine and outside steps, bath, sink drains with boiling water..
Maybe slosh a bucket full up the passage you've just swept.
They're fab aren't they!! Ooh that's a good idea, might give it a go.
Don’t know how you did all those jobs in one day!! My oven takes most of a day to clean on its own!!!
Happy Sunday Kay and thanks again for sharing your experience 🎉❤
I put a silicon liner or some tin foil on the bottom of my oven to collect any crumbs and spills. It’s so much easier to clean that way.
Really enjoyed watching your video great clean ❤❤ from Julie

Bloody weeds - hot, hot water! 😊
Amazing
❤
Pour about a cup of salt water around base of weeds. Kills weeds & they don't come back. Won't hurt pets
Soak the oven shelves overnight in very hot water and BIOLOGICAL washing powder the black grease will just fall off. No hard work at all xx
