My partner and I have been together 8 years and seeing this just felt like so many mirrors. Thank you for sharing some of your story, it was incredibly beautiful and very affirming to see a loving gay couple that have been together for decades.
The water works are flowing, we know Tim & Mark personally and has always been amazed of the love, friendship, kindness the two of them share for each other.
I really hope the younger generation is getting how hard it was for us to have these relationships back in the day. Hopefully it isn't stripped away after so many people sacrificed to get us here.

I have been through the same love affair with Joe we were together for 43 years before he passed away almost three years ago, I still have a regret that we didn't get married because of all the bullying we went through. Still miss him every day but remember all the wonderful times we had together.
@ I am so sorry for your loss, the depression which followed was so devastating for me my Dr’s suggested that I get a dog so I got a 6 week old puppy like we used to have….wired hair fox terrier. Dogs are Gods gift to mankind, he is so precious and loving and has helped me through the difficult times.

If I had this example of authenticity and love it would have changed my life, thank you for telling such a beautiful story and showing your vulnerability. You will reach many and help many. The AIDS epidemic was horrendous and still is… but you come across as a joyless know-it-all. A cautionary comment about safe sex - good for you. I watched the entire video and there is so much more to digest.
What a heart warming story. It's easy to see how much each love's the other. My partner turned husband and I had a 30 year engagement. We married July 1, 2009 in Connecticut. November 9 2024 makes 45 years for us. I gave my heart to the right person. Sometimes you just get lucky. :):):)

Going on 41 years here. We had a civil union and then marriage as soon as they became legal. I think one of the most successful attributes for a life long relationship is when each person really does put the other one first. Congrats and wishing you both many more.

Like you guys, I never thought getting married would be an option in my lifetime. It has brought us closer together and given us a sense of protection as we grow old.

Indeed. When I first saw the Twitter post that mentioned this couple, and then saw the video of their appearance in Supermarket Sweep, I couldn't help but cry. Literally. It was just a bittersweet reminder of how necessary and edifying love is for all of us, regardless of who we are or where we come from. It was bittersweet because as beautiful their love story seems to be, it also reminded me how much I long to have a love like that. Their story gives me hope that someday I may find it. ❤
Agreed, such an incredible story of 2 wonderful men. I came out in the mid 80's and I never thought I would see the day where gay marriage was legal. We have made such great progress, and now, with Sherbert Shitler back in office, hopefully we are not going to roll too far back to the dark ages. It never amazes me how many people are oblivious to the long term relationships in today's society. In the 1970's I worked for a company with numerous "out" employees and some rumoured to "be" but not confirmed. There was inconclusive gossip about two employees which left many speculating. It saddened me to read recently one of them had passed away in a tragic accident, it seems they were together long before joining the company and before there was even speculation.

Whether you've found your own business partner or not (I'm in the second group and I've almost lost any hopes), I really hope you all are surrounded by love and meaningful lives. I have an enormous smile drawn in my face right now because of these guys and I cannot help imagining myself building something similar with someone, someday. Love will always win. ❤
I'm 62 and have made some really bad decisions about me being a closeted gay man. I married and have 2 children in their early 20s. I'm the scapegoat for all the family problems. Today, I was racked over the coals, and I've been down all day because of it. I'm tired of being the guy who gives the shirt off his back to anyone who needs it, but no one cares because I lived a lie. It's so good to see Tim and Mark with their success story. It gives me hope. Congratulations, gentleman. You are a true gentleman in my definition.
