He’s ancient he seen what happens without the “correction” of the universe. He’s thinking BEYOND a single planet! He’s looking out for ALL CREATION! I love how deep the concept is! With his plan, there’s no wars between planets or domestic wars to a planet! Everyone has enough to eat! He’s genuinely doing what no one else has the strength to do! I’ve already seen it 4 times!
This was not ONLY my favorite comic book movie of all time, but my FAVORITE MOVIE/Visual on any form of a screen! It’s the first time that the images I had in my imagination of the perfect desires were EXCEEDED by A MOVIE!!
SonOfWakanda I felt similar with Man of Steel, its exactly the kind of Superman and world I saw him live in in my head. Too bad WB threw Snyder under the bus... unlike Marvel... WB doesn't know how to identify the special and unique things that do work in good superheroe movies.

15:12 If Thanos didn’t love Gamora his sacrifice of her wouldn’t have worked. The two panel members stating he didn’t love her are mirroring the same sentiment Gamora had toward his sincerity of that love for her. The toll that her death had on him was referenced several times after, with Thanos stating how much lose he had to endure that day and when he told Scarlet Witch he could relate to her conflict more than she could know. Just saying. I don’t think the Soul Stone rules would allow for such misinterpretation of emotion.
The problem is that the movie didn't do a good job of establishing WHY he loved her. Villains can be in love, they have spouses and children and (blood) family. But he kidnapped/abducted her. She has never given the impression that she was a dutiful little daughter, but the opposite, that she always hated him, and let him know that, and only obeyed out of fear. If they wanted the audience to "buy" that he loved her, the flashback scene shouldn't have been how/when he abducted her, but rather a moment where she did something that fell with his line of thinking, making him proud.
The whole Soul Stone sequence is terrible. How has Red Skull survived for 70 years. How did Gamorra not manage to land on her feet like a cat from that fall, when she could do so in her previous film, GotG2, on Igo's planet. The Soul Stone being just a dungeon riddle rather than contained within someone/something was very similar to The Last Jedi constant "Whatever you were expecting, fuck that, we've got a shittier idea." It wasn't with Heimdall, it wasn't in Mjolnir, it wasn't involved with the Dwarves in creating the weapons, it wasn't in Wakanda.... nope, it was just in a damn hole in the ground with a mystical riddle guarding it. G.A.R.B.A.G.E.
Logan Ferguson I disagree and found it easy to see that Thanos loved Gamora, and cared for all his children. You also clearly don't remember the film well as it's said that Gamora fought at Thanos' side for many years. That Gamora hated him has no bearing on whether he loves her or not.
To ask how Red Skull has survived just seems weird. He was a servant to the Soul Stone and clearly had changed physically (he was flying when they came to him). It's hardly strange that one of the strongest "magical" artifacts in the universe can keep someone alive. I also think your alternatives as to where the Soul Stone could be are inferior. None of those speculations ever made any sense if you actually thought about them (all had directly contrary evidence that we all knew, or at least you should have known them). Sacrificing something isn't a riddle either. The bad thing about The Last Jedi was that every twist led to something that meant nothing, while having a scene where Thanos shows emotional depth adds so much more than the bad alternatives you gave.

There saying its not love to them. Or an ordinary person. Of course it worked because Thanos got the stone. He loved her deep down in his own fucked up way no doubt. But its not real love its a twisted evil love kinda. I believe thats what they were getting at.
Coy is right, Thanos felt true love for Gamora. He demonstrated that love in a messed up way because, well, he’s Thanos, but he never put her in true danger. “The stone better be here, for your sister’s sake.” He doesn’t care an ounce for Nebula, but truly loves Gamora. When he tells Wanda that he understands, he’s telling her that he understands the pain of sacrificing the person you love most because of the conviction to do what is right. He sacrificed Gamora to save the Universe, in his eyes. Wanda sacrificed Vision to save the Universe. That parallel is meant, I think, to convey that Thanos loved her, but had the conviction we’ve only ever seen from heroes saving the day. He’s, in a strange way, selfless.
The soul stone gave itself to Thanos therefore Thanos loved Gamora. You simply can't say it wasn't really love. It met the stone's definition of love and that's all that matters.
Of course he loved Gamora, it wouldn't work otherwise guys jeez.

Ah you guys missed the mark in saying Thanos didn’t love Gamora. If he didn’t love her, his sacrifice to get the soul stone wouldn’t have been accepted; Red Skull who was given knowledge wouldn’t have said, “His tears are for you;” Mantis wouldn’t have exclaimed in a harrowing voice, “He mourns;” and he wouldn’t have told Gamora in the soul world (or in his conscience) that it had cost him everything. She was his everything. His motive was not selfish, but out of a sense of duty that stemmed from a *seemingly* twisted sense of conviction.
I love the character of gamora, I love Zoe saldana's portrayal of her but ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BRING HER BACK. Negates the magnitude of what just happened in Infinity War. Cheapens it. Goes back to the typical "no stakes" nitpick of the MCU.

20:02- Thanos explains that Life must be put in check, creating more resources encourages life, he wanted balance, that was the point. "Resources are finite". Did you miss that quote?
Energy is finite. The universe only has so much energy in it, it cannot create more. All life uses some of that energy, and it is recycled from life form to life form. A star consumes nuclear material for energy, creating heat and light. Plants use the energy from that light and heat to grow. Animals eat those plants, using that energy to survive. Other animals eat those animals. All animals defecate excess waste they can't process, but others can harness that waste. Eventually all life forms die and decay, and whatever energy they still contained is returned to the world or carrion animals.

The stones can't create more resources. That's what a lot of people don't seem to grasp. They can't create more than what was initially created in the big bang. It's like trying to create energy that was not there before the big bang where the stones were initially created. He can't go around making an abundance of resources all willy-nilly because they weren't available before creation. You only get so much and that's that.
Resources are finite...when you dont have a reality bending stone. He was saying that as a general concept something he saw and believed and why he sought out the stones. where in the movie does it say he can't create new matter? Where do they say he can't go to an existing planet and use what exists there to start mass cultivating new fertile ground and resources on a mass scale? He doesn't say any of that because he thinks the only plan is to kill half of existence and that's it. He's very single minded which the movie make a point of saying. This is the plan: I'm going to do it because it's my plan and I know best.
Love the close-out message...... reading comics, collecting Marvel Series and DC Series cards in the early 90's and watching cartoon shows like "Super Friends" and the Saturday morning X-Men animated show are such a major attribute to my creativity and I drew inspiration to become a "hero" ultimately leading me to serve for 7 years in the U.S. Army. Like you guys mentioned, the comics realm is most prevalent in mainstream popculture, so it doesn't surprise me that the same people who made fun of comic book lovers are the same people wishing they were part of the comic book realm. They can deny it if they wanted to, but they're not fooling anyone if they care enough to hate on us. Avengers Infinity War watch count: 3 times.

I then explained to you I was very thankful for the work you've done, on this show and also as an animator. You've given a voice to the many who felt like they didn't have one and like me never been afraid to declare your love for the format of comics in all its forms from indie to major.

20:31- Red Skull is not in charge of the Soul Stone, he was cast out by the Tesseract and forced to witness others attempt to harness the power of the soul stone, something he could never do because he had nothing to love, therefore nothing to sacrifice

Thanos did love Gamora. After the snap, little Gamora asked, "At what cost?" Thanos answered "Everything" while looking at Gamora seemingly referring to her. He sacrificed his everything Gamora just for his "destiny"
I doubt Gamora stays dead tbh. Can't see a Guardians 3 without her. I also have no interest in seeing a grieving Peter Quill for an entire movie.

Gaurdians 3 will be warlock sent to kill the gaurdians, this is all post A4 btw, they will become friends and get her out of the soul stone by having warlock make a coven with the soul force. Heading toward A5 secret war.

Star Lord died yo... how can a dead man grieve ? are we just assuming that guardians will be back ? i hope so at this point nobody knows marvel studios have already changed the stories from comics so its not a guarantee and judging off the recent movie only Rocket and Nebula are alive right now.
My prediction is that Antman and wasp starts a lil bit before infinity war and they dont end up defeating ghost but as theyre fighting her is when the snap happens and she disappears

I agree, Dr. Strange saved Tony because he knows Tony needs to be a life to beat Thanos, He saw that and he is already setting the path to victory, somehow. I guess Ironman and Nebula will play a big role in the next movie, and also Captain Marvel.
Mariana T dr strange knows something that we and tony don't. He'd already seen that one possible when he was using the time gem. The final out come my guess in avengers 4 is that tony, steve, and thor will have to died permanently in some way in order to save their timeline. Side note if the timeline is truly changed after avenger 4 and the xmen, fantastic 4 rights falls over to disney it would make sense to introduce these properties too because of timeline shifts.
Gunn's stated how he wanted to have gamora be the focus of vol 3. And not to focus as much on quill.
I’ve felt that way about Stark for a few movies now. At first, he knew Iron Man was needed, and he just liked being iron man. Then he started feeling the burden. He was breaking down but knew he HAD to keep it up with iron man and had to lead the team, and especially when he started mentoring Peter, his compassion really started coming through.
There’s more to say on this, but I have really liked Tony’s arc throughout all of the movies. He has really had the most character development of everyone. That said, Cap is my favorite. I love his fighting style, and he is able to stand toe to toe, or at least attempts to with anyone. He handles Tony in the suit, and hang with Thor, for at least a little bit. His will is so strong and he is a natural leader. I love the scene when he is running full speed into battle next to Panther too.
Oooohhh... Dr. Strange wanted to save not only Tony but also Vision’s body. Think of what the Time Stone actually did. Then.. Tony will make Morgan by using Vision’s body. Morgan will be Ultron. lol
How does no one bring up when Gamora made Star-Lord swear on his mother.?? One of the most endearing parts of the movie

I feel like they will beat Thanos, the universe will reach the capacity that Thanos feared with the return of half of the population of the universe, and then subtle signs show they just catalyzed the awakening of the world eater Galactus.
Luke Atmey all they have to do is make him blind by his fault for killing half of everyone and that his action was not necessary. Bam! Thanos loses and gets pull into the soul gem or better yet killed by deaths love like in the comics. Making villains second guessing themselves is their greatest defeat. My guess is they will have to try something similar like that in order to win. The head on approach won't work anymore.
Here's my speculation to this:
We've seen the set pics of A4 with the Avengers back in the Battle of NY from the first movie wearing the Pym tech bands on their hands. The X is just like the x inside his new van in the new Ant Man and Wasp trailer now that he has mastered going into the quantum realm.
Ant Man shrinks everyone and takes them through the Quantum Realm to the past be it an alternate dimension or not. The reason they are at the Battle of NY is because on that day they know where all 6 infinity stones are. They know Loki has the mind stone in his scepter, the space stone is in the tesseract. Both are in NY on that day. Thor knows where the reality stone is as this takes place before it is found in Thor 2 and he must fight the Dark Elves for it, also on Earth. The Time Stone is also on Earth with the Ancient One. Tony and Bruce can figure this out but I'm sure Wong will coincidentally be in the half of the population that was left alive to tell them exactly where. Nebula knows where the Soul stone is as she was in the room when Gamora told Thanos to stop her torture. She also knows where the power stone is as Thanos had sent his minions to retrieve it at the same time Quill was retrieving it. Quill had to fight them for it. Nebula then volunteered to get it from Quill but Gamora volunteered too and Thanos let her go because she is his favorite.
Between the surviving members, they know where all 6 infinity stones are on that day with 4 of them being on Earth. A3 was Thanos collecting the stones, A4 will will the Avengers collecting the stones and using their own gauntlet to undo Thanos' snap then defeat him by matching his power. It won't simply be a re-hash of the comic.
That's my crazy guess. I'm guessing that's why in the set photo leaks we only see the earth based avengers and not Rocket, Nebula or present day Thor (only long haired Thor). They are on team 2 in space collecting the Power & Soul stones or another part of Earth getting the Reality and Time stones.
Luke Atmey it could be a mix. Does not need to be exactly like the comics but a mix. I feel they would have to get the soul gem back from thanos first. Since avengers 4 will be likely be the finale showdown with thanos. Infinity war was just a part 1 while part 2 will end the final thanos story arc. My guess is thanos will be trapped in the soul gem or the eternals or the tribunal will judge thanos for his actions for changing the timeline and be locked away for tempering with the stones in the first place. Who knows. We'll just have to find out once the sequel comes out next year. Too much speculations does not do anything. 😁
Avengers 4 can't be called Avengers: Assemble because in the UK the first film was retitled to that when it was released here.

It’s unnecessarily messy having two different films in a series having the same name.
If Avengers 4 is re-titled here I'll be so mad. The retitled ones are always so much worse than the originals
This was basically another review of Infinity War but with a different panel, and I loved it.
Not just the original Avengers are left , but the original original Avengers from the comics is left if Ant-man and Wasp survived.
Love the optimism but I would be willing to make a large wager that we won't be seeing much of anything in regards to phase 4. Feige and Marvel Studios won't cannibalize the focus of Avengers 4 and all that comes with that. I think they learned from the infinity war part 1 part 2 issue. Personally I would prefer to keep that in the dark until June 2019

It looks a fun silly action flick with some heart. It's doesn't need to be any more than that and it's not trying to be. Most seem to think that's pretty underwhelming given that we just got Infinity War but I like that Marvel is always mixing things up. With Infinity War we got a space epic. By the looks of this trailer we're getting a much smaller intimate and comedic action movie. I'm really looking forward to this and I enjoyed the trailer. I'm definitely gonna check this out when it comes out.
I loved it, but I spot flaws in the film. No film is perfect. I think flaws should be mentioned, not glossed over. People who love a film may have seen those flaws too, but tend to not talk about them in worry that they will be perceived as disliking the film.
Things I’d like to see in Avengers 4:
-hulk extracted from banner so hulk is his own being separate from banner.
-a twist on the red hulk story where banner’s hulk becomes red hulk temporarily.
-someone like Cap America picks up and wields Thor’s axe.
-Rocket interacts with earth raccoons.
-if this is Thor’s last movie, then the introduction of beta ray bill.

I had to get off the internet for several weeks until I saw Infinity War on my birthday. Finally I can watch some Heroes!

Thanos loves Gamora, that was the whole point and reason the sacrifice meant anything. He was grooming her to eventually take his place and his responsibilities, which is why it broke his heart. You can look to Mantis and her explaining what was going on in his head as well.
the scene where Thor shows up in Wakanda with Rocket & Groot got the biggest cheer in my theatre.
James Gunn has never said that Adam Warlock will be in Guardian 3. He keeps pointing that out on Twitter and in interviews as well. Everyone assumed because of the post-credit scene of the cocoon that naturally he will be in the next one, but Gunn has said they had no concrete plans for him when they tacked that on at the end.
About the coming phase 4 reveal: at first I expected them to have an similar event to phase 3, giving out all the movies and the first trailer for Captain Marvel. Oh by the way, here is the first teaser and title for avengers 4.
But i've seen a bunch of interviews with Feige the last week, and whenever he gets the question he answers that he would like to wait until after Avengers 4. And I think thats the plan. Why? Think about it, Phase 3 started changing almost directly after it was announced. An Ant man and the Wasp here, and Spider Man homecoming there, an Inhumans that vanished into thin air.
I expect that there is two versions of phase 4. One that includes X-men and Fantastic Four, and one backup plan in case regulators come the conclusion that perhaps it is unwise to let Disney produce ALL the movies.
What are your thoughts about a soul for a soul? If I'm not mistaken the rule of the soul stone as stated by our guide the Red Skull stated???
At the end of the the movie, wasp or Antman turns to dust, Hawkeye shows up in the post credit scene and brings Antman or wasp up to date on what's happening..

Ant-Man appears in some avengers 4 photos where the avengers look like back in 2012's avengers, which could mean a turn back time situation. The Wasp would be there as well and this could mean that this time Ant-Man and the Wasp in fact become the founders of the avengers like in the comics, we could actually see Loki again. I sustain what I said the doc strange saw the outcome in which Thanos is defeated, he did something to the time stone before giving it to Thanos.

The snap is irrelevant to who comes back. Both Vision and Gamora will be back. And no, they're NOT going to kill off half of the ones who are left. That would be stupid and just piss off fans. Feige is much smarter than Rian Johnson.

I can't see that being a factor. She may or may not come back, but I doubt Marvel would alter their plans for the character and ignore a (presumably) contract she's under just because she's got other stuff on her plate.
How is it that Thanos' love for Gamora is even a question? For years we've know very little of him but one thing we did know is that she was his favorite. It's even why Nebula hated her so much at the beginning. Seemed like everyone knew that except for Gamora.
I think something flew by while Ant-Man was in the Microverse that might have Janet van Dyne.

Rejoice! Thanos is thinking beyond emotion! He’s really not being selfish. He’s genuinely doing what he believes is right! He’s ancient he seen what happens without the “correction” of the universe. He’s thinking BEYOND a single planet! He’s looking out for ALL CREATION! I love how deep the concept is! With his plan, there’s no wars between planets or domestic wars to a planet! Everyone has enough to eat! He’s genuinely doing what no one else has the strength to do! I’ve already seen it 4 times!
This was not ONLY my favorite comic book movie of all time, but my FAVORITE MOVIE/Visual on any form of a screen! It’s the first time that the images I had in my imagination of the perfect desires were EXCEEDED by A MOVIE!!

we DON'T know if Tony WOULD've been turned to ash by the snap... cuz, Thanos couldn't tell the gauntlet to discriminate. he did not kill Tony by NOT ZAPPING him with the gauntlet. but, the snapping itself...it really just picks those who leave and those who stay on its own...automatically.

Crazy idea but....what if they totally flipped the story and instead of Shuri picking up the Black Panther mantle, Tony does actually die in the next Avengers movie but his consciousness is uploaded to a system, Shuri becomes the new Ironman or Ironheart and Tony's is her Jarvis-like A.I.??
If both Ant Man and Wasp are around at the end of their movie there is just one thing I want to see. I want one scene in Avengers 4 with Ant Man, Wasp, Hulk, Thor, and Iron Man together. It is just too easy a thing to do that would be such an amazing homage to Avengers issue #1.

I think a Captain Marvel post-credit is going to be modern day (forward time jump) from the end of the movie, with someone(s) dusting in front of her and then the beeper going off and it's symbol being the Shield logo.
Thanos would not be able to get the soul stone without sacrificing someone he loved. Red Skull made it clear. He did love Gamora. The soul stone wouldn’t be obtained if he was faking it. He especially loved her as a child which is why he talked to her child like soul once he snapped his fingers

Remember, in the comics Thanos made provision for his father, Mentor, to be killed when he snapped his fingers cuz he said Mentor was someone who had the wisdom to organize forces to defeat him.
If Tom Holland is Peter Parker in Venom, it will either take place before Infinity war or after Avengers 4, but I don't think it'll give us a time/date reference to lock anything in, and I don't think it'll have any references to any MCU things.
I do believe Thanos loved Gamora. You just can`t fool the Soul Gem, even if you are the Mad Titan.

i read or heard somewhere that once the deal's done this year...the soonest mcu can play around with those characters would be around 2022 or 2024. and just yesterday, there were news saying Feige's had talk about MCU's 2024 & 2025 movies....
Theory: Everyone that was killed by the Soul Stone comes back. When Thanos dusted half of all life their souls went onto the stone. And we saw Gomora in Soul World. Loki, Vision, and Heimdall are screwed. Though, Vision could probably be fixed.
I think people keep forgetting that even if Thanos wanted to make more resources he could only do it once evidence by how the glove was basically broken in the end

I think Thanos was thinking of the ratio of organic vs inorganic resources. So I don’t think he cares about helping anybody in particular and assumes it will work itself out. He’s just a crazy idiot though, it’s just a bad plan he carries out so he can feel good about himself.

the only thing i see as not realistic about that list that was shown around 23 minutes mark is i don't think they would do a solo wasp movie and solo ant man movie unless somehow the antman and the wasp movie does a billion and the fans say the major reason why is because of the wasp.
