This was a really helpful video, it would have saved me a lot of time if the manual had pictures of the cables that go to the front panel of the case and told me what they are.
Sorry for the surely stupid questions, but why do the P8 connectors on the Pure Power 12m have 10 holes? My motherboard asks for 1 ATX power connection and 1 or 2 (I don't understand the difference of using one or 2) 8-pin plugs, and then my GPU asks 1 8 pcle pin. Does the pure power 12m 1000w have all these connectors? I can't really tell by the pictures.
So i should plug in two connector of adapter from the PSU side to these two slots pf PCIE 5.0 or just one of them - and the other side of the adapter just plug in to GPU ?
p4+4 is confusing as the second p4 end has different connectors pin profile, i mean it has all trapezoids shape but three somewhere needs to be square.
neither the manual nor any cable guide EVER explains the TWO IDENTICAL P8 sockets on the Powersupply (for example PP 12 M 750w). are they really identical or do I have to use one particular? This should be fixed in the manual ASAP.
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. The reason you won't find specific details about the two identical P8 sockets in the manual or cable guide is because they're essentially the same. Both P8 sockets are connected to the same rail (12V2 in the PP12M model), so you can use either one or both depending on your motherboard's requirements. If you need more guidance, it's best to refer to your motherboard's manual for clarification.
If I'm not using a GPU (motherboard has 4k graphics) and no other PCIe peripherals, do I still need to plug in the 600W power cable? My current build is not powering on at all and I've checked all the wiring and connectors but do NOT have the 600W PCIe cable plugged in anywhere. This is a Dark Power 13 750W PSU.
I have been purchasing your equipment from the beginning. When you start making motherboards let me know, with EVGA going out, I will need another brand that I can can go to. :)
Hey guys. Is your riser cable compatible with the 800 DX? Also, how exactly does it mount to the case itself? (The foam portion touching the case) Is it screwed in?
In general the riser cable is compatible with all our cases that support a vertical installation of your graphic card which includes the Shadow Base 800 DX. You may wanna check out our product video here: ua-cam.com/video/6gCnh2ICec0/v-deo.htmlsi=jgGVgfs6JCrNHGc9&t=22 this shows how it looks when you install your graphic card vertically within the Shadow Base 800 series.
I am not a fan of 12VHPWR. Cable management is a pain and my side panels don't fit on most builds I do. Cases need to be wider or it needs to be a right angle by default... I shouldn't have to buy adapters or extra custom cables.
Hi I would like to know if I just start the power supply without connecting any cables then does the fan on the PSU rotate? I want to know a way how to find out if the PSU is working? Or do I need to buy a PSU tester from Amazon. Please advise
The PSU (and the fan) will not start without any cables connected. Using a PSU-tester is the easiest and safest way to do a simple check. Please note: some be quiet! PSUs have a fan delay on startup, so it takes 2-3 seconds until fan spins up.
Honestly need to know what the cables coming off of the fan hub go to. I have a 2 pin connector and a female RGB cable that go to nothing on my motherboard… mb sys…
Hi, I have the 600w SFX-L Power, I'm trying to connect it to an ITX motherboard but I can't get the computer to boot. Does anyone know which power cables are for the motherboard? I've connected the 24-pin cable to the motherboard... and from the same cable another 8-pin cable comes out which I've connected to the CPU, but it doesn't work. Then I tried and connected the P8 cable and the CPU fan moved but it started to smell bad (like it's burned). Does anyone know how to connect it? I've connected the graphics card with a PCIe cable.
I purchased the Dark Power 13 850 watt model, along with an Asus TUF 7900 XT. I was hoping to take advantage of PCIe 5.0, but it seems that the 12+4-Pin 12VHPWR Connector cannot be split into 3X 8-pin (6+2) which is what the graphics card has. So am I stuck with just using the 2 PCIe outputs from the PSU to my GPU?
Moin, wenn du damit dieses Kabel hier meinst www.bequiet.com/en/accessories/3959 dann kannst du dies mit den Pre-ATX-3.0-Netzteilen benutzen ohne deren Oktopus-Adapter anschließen zu müssen.
Connect the two PCIe (6+2-pin) cables to the power supply, but only connect three outputs to the GPU. You can ignore the fourth one. As the Straight Power 12 has one 12V line, you don't need to worry about the connection of the outputs.
I just love you use 12 pin to 2x 8pin modular cable, only firm that do so and not like rest where you have 8pin PSU to 2x 8pin pci-e which will melt PSU side if you push 250W Also what I would like to see non modular 12chpwr cable!!! I just do not see need for it to be modular if all gona use it!!!! also more chance for PSU side to melt as 600W is a LOT for those small connector and pins!!!!! Think about it, for me only sata/molex need to be modular and maybe one PCI-e!

@@bequietofficial Dont worry, I was just mad becouse the CPU power cable has 5 rows with an empty row in the middle and the connection on PSU was called P8 instead of CPU and it was with 5 rows of pins with no gap in the middle so I felt that I need to connect it to the P8 but I wasnt 100% sure and couldnt find a video in the entire internet that shows how is someone connecting the CPU cable to the P8 connector in any bequiet! 2:01 , yes what a great design, why not make 90 degree bend for first place, but like yeah 4cm and then bend, great idea, every should have like 1m wide case for pc, because u cant fit a gpu with 4cm stiff cable in standard pc case, poor design, never buying be quiet again

Well we learned that the 12vhpwr cable was created to deliver power and not to create fire hazards like everybody thought, good to know!
I did not got it at all

Thanks for your feedback. Happy that the video was able to help you out :)
This helped a lot with figuring out the P8 plug and I what situations to use it.
i do like Be Quiet, their power supplies are awesome.
Thank you! 🖤
Thanks for a great video! I'm assembling my first PC and it was really helpful.

Das Riser Kabel für Grafikkarten sieht schon sehr schön aus. Ein Video zum vertikalen Einbau von Grafikkarten in euren Gehäusen wäre spannend.
Danke fürs Feedback!
Mine arrived yesterday, can't wait to install it.

So I need to plug in both the 20p and the 8p of the mainboard cable in the psu? And the 8p for my cpu can be connected to any of the 8p slots?
Literally the only thing I'm wondering as well
Thanks. Very interesting topic.
I did have to slightly bend my 12VHPWR after 2 cm already (7000X rgb not wide enought). Did check multiple times already and everything is fine ^^

I dont understand, i have a 2x 8 pin gpu connector but i only have 8 pins in my gpu
In this case, if the GPU has only one 8-pin power connector, you should use only a single 6+2 pin connector.
