Such an amazing video Shubha. I hope EVERYONE sees it. Nobody talks about it this honestly. The challenge is that when one has a deep voice it is resonant. To achieve the same resonance in head voice seems like a herculean task and perhaps requires tremendous riyaz. The delta otherwise becomes jarring. But like you said being comfortable with the various registers is the first step. Thank you very much. This video deserves a million views :)

Of course! Age doesn't affect much the head voice... it affects the throat voice more aggressively. Once you start using chest and head voice, your singing will smooth always.. just with a little warm up. Goodluck

Great lessons mam! I know this issue as I am facing it right now , after dha if I sing ni and sa my brain try to sing those higher notes with stomach / chest voice and it takes so much effort and strain to vocal chords . Great lessons , I will try this for sure so that it will be easy to kick in head voice

It s been 5years and I ve been struggling since. So since last 7 months I ve seen my voice improving.
My question is so when does one start doing the paltas, aakar after getting to the stage when one I'd comfortably singing high and mixed voice etc.and what are those exercises??

Thanks. Chest voice is more prominent in lower scales like G, G# and head voice in higher pitched like C, C#, D... if you're female, you can practice chest voice in G# and head voice in C#.

Ma'am please make a tutorial on mixed voice for males. Main agar do-teen baar G#4 aur A#4 gaa du toh gala 4-5 din ke liye baith jaata hai. Aaj kal har gaana pop style hi hai sab ke sab A4 pe hai ya usse uppar. Mujhe Singing mein aage jaana hai. Sirf ghar mein nahi gaana. 😟😟

After practising this do we have to do our daily basic riyaz also at higher scale, I mean if someone is practicing at A sharp , does he or she has to change his or her pitch from A sharp to C sharp or D sharp for everyday riyaz too or its just for particular high pitch songs only Shubha ji.

No, don't change your regular pitch for daily riyaz for classical. You do this only when you want to develop head voice for bollywood songs.

Madam i have a question i have tried it, but a problem is occurring, after pancham when i try to ascending or descending movement with any raga , then i cannot throw mix voice after pancham to saa, higher octave i can throw head voice properly, there is no problem. But when i comeback from higher madhyam to middle octave pancham then after saa my voice is breaking , but i do not give excessive force of air, but cannot understand my technical fault...
Please please give a suggestion , or please post a video on this topic, i am too much frustrated for this reason
