The problem with story progression is everyone be adopting children, but no one gets married, I want random out there marriages!
My sims in other households sometimes get engaged to the person they're in a relationship with, bur they NEVER get married to them?? Like what's the point of them autonomously getting engaged if they can't get married autonomously as well lol

My funniest wedding (before the weddings pack but I was using a mod so Sims could first kiss/propose/break up autonomously): My Sim's Elderly mother gets married to her Elderly neighbor, a widower who proposed to her. Immediately after ceremony, he flirts with his wife's best friend. Wife gets enraged and dies. Daughter pleads with Grim, and Grim brings her back to life. As soon as she's brought back to life she goes up to her groom and autonomously divorces him. The wedding isn't even over yet and I witnessed a marriage, infidelity, death, resurrection, and divorce. I was rolling.
That. Is. Amazing.

You are right about "brutally dance", it actually show up with metal music. Personally I use the downsized doll house every time in my game.
I won't talk about the firefighters they are so useless! One time my children was alone at home with a fire at the bedroom, called the firefighters, they never came! I make their mother going back to extinguish the fire and they finally came like 6hours after the first call to tell me I call for nothing and fine me 🤦🏿♀️

I've got the MC Command center mod and set the max household size to 20 for when I need punctual big gatherings in my storyline. With story progression enabled. It's not rare to find households composed of 2-3 sims and 15+ random dogs in small homes. 🙂
I can't tell you how many times I've seen random children or toddlers living by themselves in a house lol, or just animals. Very odd.

I keep getting that "just had their first kiss" popup at my sims' weddings even if they just kissed and woohoo'd seconds before the ceremony even when no mods are installed. Just another example of the Sims 4 being a perfect game with no flaws lol
I'm guessing the neighbor that randomly dropped dead when the player implied their mother was a llama became so angry she died of cardiac explosion. She was already angry when she came over to complain of the noise and then they started arguing so it's the most plausible cause of death lol.
And yeah, the "dance" option is renamed to "brutally dance" if you're listening to metal music.

Hysteria is definitely the biggest cause of death in my game. But it’s good for drama. They can also die of embarrassment if it gets to mortified and anger if they get to enraged

Another thing i hate about sims: whenever you try to cook with your friend in their home or take a shower in their home, they say its inappopriate.
But thats not accurate, people are taking showers in each others houses if they are so close or having a night over.
Or they can simply ask "can i use shower" and they say yes and shower after that.
Why everyone is so mean and cold to each other? Why they cant ask each other? Why cant i say "hey lets cook together!" and if she gives permission to us, we cook.
Even if i cook with the owner of house, another household member comes and says thats inappopriate, like wtf your mom let me do that, and why i cant take permission from you by just asking? We are close friends, literally 100 friendship points or max romance. Why are you kicking me out of house instead of just letting me act like your friend?
In a game, one of the sisters left home but never breaked the touch with family, she visited every day, but they dont even let HER cooking. Why? She is your sister dude? Why cant she just ask for permission then? Its SOOOO ANNOYING
In here even in your first date, if you are in the other persons home, you can take permission to use bathroom and they let you shower. Why not in sims then? Arent they humans? Do they hate everyone outside their household? Why?

Actually I think some or a lot of that is coming up in the new pack, it happens with family too if someone moves out, your family wont let you take a shower even if you died from hygiene, are now a ghost, and another family moved your ghost to their house, That's one thing I hate, like your daughter just died from hygiene in your house, and cause I have her ghost ghost join my household you won't let your daughter, who you're mourning, take a shower? So now her ghost lives with my succubus and Incubus werewolf, which by the way, it's very challenging playing an Incubus werewolf, which if you can use mods, I recommend.
Its so stupid that when they come over, they use all your stuff like computer but when you go to their house, you can’t even do anything

Yeah, a lot of people were upset with that base game update when it happened. I pretty much always use my satisfaction points to buy the "Always Welcome" trait for my sims so I don't have to deal with it. It's super cheap so I can buy it pretty quickly.
There's a reward trait you can get, called "always welcome" or something, that enables your Sim to do whatever they want at other sims houses without them getting pissed. I always end up getting it because it makes everything soo much easier
I would love Sims 4 Medieval, I have played so many hours of Sims Medieval and I think it could be so much better. Also that Parkshore house is probably empty, that happens sometimes when all the sims in a household die

when i finally decided to play the game normally, my sim went on a date with their girlfriend at a bar, the bartender died off screen during the date and i didn't notice until my sim went to mourn the person they didn't talk to once on the way out lol
My Not So Berry challenge ended at Gen 8 because my Sim died from laughter. He was at the Humor and Hijinks festival for 10 minutes and also a stand-up comic. He couldn't get to a mirror fast enough while hysterical.
The same thing happened to me when I was playing Goths... One in-game day and I already lost Bella. Felt kinda canon though 😂
Actually, we might be getting some kind of royalty pack. Lots of simmers want it, and the sims team has teased a lot about horses, which would go perfectly with a monarch/royalty pack. Just speculation, but who knows?

Yes, the BRUTALLY DANCE option is available if your Sim likes metal music. I once played as the Grim Reaper and made him a metalhead, and the other options on the radio were (and I'm paraphrasing) "PLAY METAL PROPER AND LOUD," "MAKE METAL NOT HURT EARS?," "TURN DOWN?," "BRUTALLY DANCE," and "AIR GUITAR TO METAL," which I all found hilarious.
9:55 Satch just gave us a free lesson on colour theory which would normally cost a whole months worth of sitting in on design and art theory classes, I feel like I wasted my money now lol

Damm, you made me remember that Liberty Lee, the NPC was living with a lot of roomates while being one of my Sims' romantic interest... She kept adopting daughters, and they were all named the same!!! 3 "Sarah Lee"s 😮 What the heck Liberty?
Also, she was being pushy showing up multiple times a day at my sim's house... While her roomates were angry my sim was trying to cook for the 3 hungry children. 😅
I stopped playing that save because it was frustrating, nobody ever washed those kids at that household 😮... But all the roomates kept adopting kids WTF?
You can brutally dance to the metal music, but it looks the same way as normal dancing - dunno why they called it like this. But if it comes to emotions if you're very angry you can die from heart attack :D
Also: I've planned amazing outdoor summer wedding and everybody died from heat - my sims were more mad than sad, and they had "you died on my wedding" sentiment even with their parents xD

Belive me, every time I aim for drama - nothing happens, but when I try to have my legacy go on with their best lives - that's when sht gets real, haha. But to be honest, I like when things go not the way I planned them to because of the gameplay (and ofc get super angry every time I can't to anything cause of random bugs). Anyway, I'm glad my comment put a smile on your face :).

I always forget to delete talk like a pirate day. I hate that holiday. But I actually had a sim win the lottery once. That was pretty cool.
The one that I hate and despise is that stupid Neighbourhood brawl day, and how it always sneak up on you. Look at the calendar, and it's nowhere to be seen, and, just 7 days later, it starts on you. You need to check the calendar in the middle of every week and delete it, then, put some other custom holiday for that day.
I hate it too, and the stupid neighborhood brawl one as well. Even when I delete holidays they still come back the following year, I wish they could be permanently deleted.

@@RedRoseSeptember22 That's the reason why I always create a new custom holiday after I delete that one. Make it a Let's Dance holiday with the Dance tradition. That one only take a second to fulfill, and, pretty much all Sims just LOVE to dance.

I have a screenshot where three grim reapers watch a weather report together and they seem to be really interested lol.
Also have a screenshot of werewolf in a wolf form that broke into my house just to use pc (right when I needed it and already set a task for my sim).
And these screenshots are from my least chaotic save files. Sims just do be like that :p
I was playing a legacy family at like, 6th gen and I was very serious about it and even built my own houses. I moved the brothers with their child sister out the house to continue with my legacy sim and then the game updated with story progression, which I didn't know about because I didn't keep up to things back then. One of the brothers adopted a child, one got eaten (?) and then some other tragedy killed the other. The children were in my family tree but I couldn't get a hold of them.
It made me think that when stuff like that happens they should have a feature where they call you about the children, like how CPS does call relatives irl to care for a child.
I stopped playing and have kept in the loop about updates since. It still haunts me.
They do need to fix story progression but honestly I like some of the quirks of it. Like Kristopher is always adopting kids and I think that makes a lot of sense for him. Vlad too and that one I just find adorable. I really just need to go into my neighbourhoods and turn off the werewolves being able to move though.

Interesting, in my game Vlad haven't adopted once, and I'm on Gen 5 of my legacy now 😅
I had a sim child age up into a teenager and at the birthday they died from laughter.. almost right after aging up. The single dad was not okay after that.
That meme is so true lol 😂 imagine Sims 5-Winter pack, Summer pack, fall pack & spring pack. I mean even in Sims 4 we have seasons but if u want skiing and snowboarding then u also have to get Snowy Escape >.< while past sim games snowboarding and skiing would already exist in seasons lol 😂

Did anyone else got a glitch when Caleb the vampire was my sims dad and she became a teen he PROPOSED to her (he is romantic I guess??) and I sht you not I’ve got a screenshot when she ACCEPTED and it says “teen” above her. And if you click on Caleb profile relationship it says “father” and “engaged” 💀 I mean.. sims were always unhinged but this is next level
I've never had that happen before but ewww lol. A funny thing that happened recently in my save is Caleb dying from falling off a mountain when he can literally turn into a bat and fly lmfao.

“Sims 4: Modern Monarchs” has a nice ring to it….even if it were a spin-off. It could totally have a storyline of building an empire, deciding if you wanna be cut-throat or diplomatic in certain situations, and dealing with rivals.
the “brutally dance” is from nifty knitting and can only happen if you’re listening to the heavy metal option. it could be a glitch though if they’re listening to another station
and if you are trying to turn the metal station off, it yells 'TURN OFF????' It is kinda relatable %)

6:33 Yes indeed they can get hysterical and then die of laughter! Happened to a sim of mine, within 10-15 min of opening up the game. Don’t know how he got amused in the first place (watching comedy? Something on the computer? Idk). I looked away for a few minutes, and when I looked back, he had apparently decided to take a bubble bath, which made him hysterical, then he got out of the bath, put in a towel, then almost immediately died on the floor. There was nothing I could do…’twas too late. I was shocked - had never happened to a sim of mine before.
I quit without saving and reloaded to start that day again. And watched him like a hawk!
I played as Bella and Mortimer as teens, when they aged up and got married she too died of laughter right after their vows LOL yikes.
I think the sims 4 pack system would maybe work if the dlcs werent so expensive, like in what world should being able to go skiing cost 40 euros.

@@sherbear6625 city living world was based of several cosmopolitan cities like San Francisco and New York (US), Vancouver (CA), Sidney( AU) and Tokyo (JP) tho it does come with decent representation of other cultures.

Context: Crusader kings 3 is the closest thing to a "Sims" style game that they've released so far. We literally just had to VOTE to possibly have interactions with children. You think kits are bad and overpriced? There's a $70 clothing pack.
When I first played the Werewolves pack, my household's mother got the trait where she gets hysterical from watching television, and abruptly died of laughter. Was it annoying? Yes, but it was DRAMA.
I also made a statue of my scientist to put in my science museum.
Story progression is weird. I had this cool plan for the BFF house renovations where the two girlies are pining for the same manchild, but I found two random kids and zero childcare items. Liberty Lee, Summer, wtf? They're not even Travis' babies.

In the growing together livestream, at the beginning when Eliza and Bella have a baby, Cordelia pops up as an option Eliza can have a baby with. There are soooo many references to her throughout the game, and she would be the perfect sim as the face of a royalty pack

In Real Life there'd be toys all over the place, in the Sims its all perfect - Because the Sims team won't make "debug" style toy decorations that sims can walk through to let us scatter them all over the place

ok my sims usually generate/age up with mostly reasonable clothes other than the occasional glasses for bed, but then you look at the party outfit and its like 'the anemy stand user could be anyone'

I am a little bit late to this, yes by a year, but no matter what I do I cannot stop Judith Ward from getting married to and having children with random next-man townies, abandoning her mansion and moving into their squalid little shotgun houses. I have the mod where vampires can kill so naturally that's how I deal with them (because, for some reason, one of my vampires and Judith are really good friends, and I figure it's just him looking out for her).
At this point, however, I've decided it's just a part of the story.
Also, very recently my Nancy Landgraab went missing from the family. Turns out, she hadn't died as I assumed at first, no. She'd just moved herself out to Willow Creek.
I had a spa in my game that had a yoga spot on the balcony. Townies we’re doing yoga in the summer when two of them died from over heating. Like one right after the other 🤦♀️
I would love to see horses come as part of an Arabian themed pack, with a new sandy world, that ties into the Moroccan themed kit we already have…
.. but let’s be real, it’ll probably be packaged as a rodeo/Wild West type pack…

8:07 She more in likely died from anger. I've had a few sims get so angry they fall over dead, and it's almost always when sims live in apartments. They will randomly go over to each others homes and complain about "all the noise" the other one is making.
I hate the story progression crap EA did. More in likely if you have toddlers or pets in a home by themselves it's because the adults died somehow and now with story progression, the kids or pets just stay and continue on without the adults. It's a bit annoying but it's normally only going to happen to unplayed sim households. ALSO!! Did y'all know that if story progression is on and you've allow sims to move in and out; any time that they do move out, they will take all the furnishings from that home with them.

@@honeyvanity2791 That's hailarious because I'm always freaking out and running mine off to a mirror to calm them down, because for some reason they wont on thier own. I don't know what's wrong with my sims, they are almost always right on that edge of payful and hysterical.
I miss the ability to carve wood and clay to make things. That and fixing cars then selling them were two of my favorite things from the previous games.

The house price is low bc of the family dying and the furniture disappearing. If you edit the lot in build/buy mode, all the furniture will return for 0 simoleons so you have to replace/buy expensive items to make it cost more. I play in loooooong save files so this happens a lot

They will only cook on bathroom counters when the kitchen counter is filthy. Mine just did it.

Ok but having Monarchy/Royalty in the Sims 4 would be everything, it would make the game so much better especially since we have the new infant update it would be really cool.
Imagine this: You create a royal family, they try for a baby, they get a baby, the mother gives birth, the maids/butlers/servants/king/queen/etc plays with the infant, it grows up to be a toddler then a child then etc, and at one point when the child is a teen they get crowned and become king/queen. You can marry into other royalty (like AI sims for example). Like that would be amazing and I'd defo purchase it!!

I got My Wedding Stories probably 3 months ago just for the world and build items. Every single generation of my sims have just eloped cuz I don’t even want to try to pull off a wedding

I can see the appeal of a monarchy pack but I don't think it would work well with TS4's world system. We all know our medieval monarchs would show up at the Games Con to eat a hamburger and personally I would hate that.
They could go down the modern monarchy route, but genuinely, what would that add to the game? Titles?
So basically either we get modern monarchies when deep down we want medieval ones, then it would break immersion if you don't want to play with the pack (i.e. royals showing up where they shouldn't, like Judith Ward), then it's a huge theme and everybody would be complaining about the Sims team couldn't include bc it was too much, etc etc
I can see why we're not getting a monarchy pack lol the backlash would be massive

My story progression makes the Goths procreate faster than bunnies, and elders love adopting toddlers. Geeta Rasoya is definitely the most guilty, then Vivian Lewis. Then the Pancakes RARELY have anything happen to them, and they never have kids either.

The fact that this game costs so much to have every pack, yet the developed said they spent more money on horse animations rather than actually making horse pack good… kinda just blows my mind.

I sized up a castle doll house to the size of a house, trying to build a house to look like the doll house. I put it on the 2 adjacent lots, and it gave me so much serotonin. I had to evict a vampire and their dogs and a werewolf and their cat and dog. I combined their households and gave them a child in CAS before placing them on a different lot.

3:28 id love a feature to build statues of sims, sims 3 had the option of making ice ones with the sculpting skill from ambitions but this looks great
