The saying "time heals all wounds" just doesn't seem to apply to losing someone. I feel like time makes it harder to heal. I ❤️ you! And I'm happy for the new changes taking place in your life too.
Hey friend! Thank you! I am SO sorry I dropped the ball on recording the video we talked about, but as you have now listened, you know that it's because I've had a crazy couple of weeks. If the opportunity is still there, please let me know and I will definitely still help you out if I can. This week is much calmer than this past week was for me.
Not a parent, but I was born with a rare syndrome ((hadju-Cheney syndrome). The best advice I can give to any mom expecting a little one facing medical issues is let the child grow/develop at their own pace. So many times doctors want to put children in a category/box and if they dont reach a milestone by x-amount of time the parents begin to panic. Don't. I'm 36 and my mom would be the first to tell you I did things on my own time. Doctors told her "if she doesn't walk by 18 months she may not be able to."... i took my first steps the day I turned 18 months. Celebrate the little stuff.
Also, congrats on the Ms Wheelchair stuff 🤗
PSA- My husband has SB and his experience growing up was difficult at times. His parents didn't explain anything to him when he was younger.... explain things to your kids.
Yes to ALL of this! it's interesting, Jennifer. We've known each other for a really long time and I've never even known what the name of your condition is before now. Thank you for chiming in to share your perspective and experience. I think this is all really great advice, so I'm glad you shared this. :)
