mate right now as we are going for strength we are not going passed 5 reps. So we are doing a combination of tempo, reps and sets. After that first test we identify our 1 rep max (1RM) and from there we account for our reps to be a % of our 1RM. so for example 5 x 5 at 85% 1RM or another option 3 reps x 5 sets but tempo os 3 seconds down 1 second up at 75%... eventually over a 6-8 week period after you retest you are looking for the ability to reps at your 1RM, that is an indicator you are getting stronger. To summate reps no longer than 5, sets range from 3-5 and we add in tempo as well. Let me know if you need more help on this legend!
