      It’s all relative, expensive to some, cheap to others. Product development, patents, insurance, etc. are all expensive. If a products made in the USA, Australia, etc. it’s going to cost more than if it’s made in China. It also takes getting pretty big before you can afford to move manufacturing to China and guarantee a quality product, because you’ll actually have to go to China and make sure it’s being built correctly and not by children. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. If you can build it cheaper. Go for it.

  • @backcountyrpilot
    @backcountyrpilot Рік тому +1

    I picked up a 20’ container like the one pictured from Long Beach Harbor in 1995.
    All I had was a 1-Ton Chevy pickup with a 12’ bed and 4’ of lift gate sticking out.
    (No fancy trailer)
    When the crane set the empty 5,000 lb container on my truck, it completely collapsed
    the rear suspension.
    The truck wheelied frequently and especially when taking freeway on-ramps, but I
    made it all the way to Covina by tapping the brakes to bring the front wheels back down.🚀

  • @Mikp-zw3cs
    @Mikp-zw3cs Рік тому +28

    hitch skid plate is a very bad idea, it puts the hitch lower to the ground and when it hits it pushes you hitch up and causes the bumper and frame to torque causing your truck to get damaged and break welds in the rear of the vehicle, the same thing happens if you get hit in the rear from another vehicle.

    • @aphextwin5712
      @aphextwin5712 Рік тому +3

      Yeah, it (further) reduces the departure angle and puts an even greater load on the hitch receiver mount (larger lever length). The only thing it protects is the lower edge of the hitch receiver from scratches and I’d say a rather theoretical deformation of the receiver opening. Maybe it offers a slightly slower dynamic load built-up (the first impact will be at a shallower angle).

    The hitch skid plate . It's gonna bend anyway, okay, it's not protecting anything. It's stupid cause if you're hitting that hard to. It's gonna bend your hitch upward easy. And now it's even lower to the ground because of the Skid plate makes it lower. which now it will hit definitely. 0:41

    What really bugs me about these "Car inventions that have reached a new level" COMERCIALS is that UA-cam puts ADS in too.

      UA-cam is basically the new TV, the commercials pay the content provider just like a TV commercial paid for your favorite show. The great thing about UA-cam is you have the option of paying about $12 month for commercial free. Once you switch, you’ll never go back.
