Great subject, I fast, but over a much longer period of time, I only eat when my stomach gets hungry, usually means feeling a little sick, when I take it too far. You can actually feel when your blood sugar drops :) But Im same size I was when I was 19, and Im 70 next month
Absolutely the easiest way to lose weight, no calorie counting, weighing food or other traditional methods. It also helps to drastically cut out the sugary snacks and carb rich foods. Early Homo Sapiens didn't eat three times a day, they ate after they chased their food down, sometime days without eating much at all. As I understand it breakfast was made popular by the cereal companies, which is a highly processed (lots of sugar) food, which really isn't a food at all. The body will start using muscle as an energy source only after an extended period, weeks without food. Love the channel, keep up the good work!!!

Great advice!! I love it! Never thought about it in relation to riding my Road Glide, but i used to road bike ( bicycle ) alot, and i totally noticed the difference dropping 5-10 made on a bicycle...Thank you!

I went from 183 to about 153. No exercise, just portion control. Plenty of weight on my 5'10" frame. Two years worth of surgeries with little movement. So losing weight is a function of mind control. Open the refrigerator, gaze at what's available, imagine the taste, THEN CLOSE THE DOOR! Also be cognizant of hunger. It's transitory. It will go away easily with a small amount of food.
Also, weigh yourself through the day. This allows you to see that when you slip and pig out, the effect is very small. No need to say " I blew it. Might as well give up".

Hi totally agree been doing intermittent fasting for a decade now. Also every 4 months do a 36 hour fast I also train fasted it works great ride free
I do a 2/3 hour fast between meals every day……….lol

I can drop so much weight doing this. I'm currently 72 hour fast, then eat as much as i can all protein and fat in one meal....then another 72 hours. Dropped 30lbs in two weeks.

Yes Sir, you are so correct may I add by if you take out bread it will make a bigger difference in weight loss I am 65 just retired from a stressful job went back to doing intermittent fasting I don’t snack after supper and eat eggs and breakfast meat only for my first meal but then what ever for supper lost 10 lbs in 3 months it works with being retired my job now is to work on living life to its best life started back to a light workout trying to decide street glide or a limited the RK is tired and needs updated ride safe!

Well, it’s true. And it’s not only the bike getting more performance. But the body too. I’ve was overweight for a while (still have a beer belly) and dude… it was just hard to do anything.
I only eat between 3 and 7 or between 6 and 9 pm, depending on what I’m doing.
i am now the owner of a beautiful customed breakout:) loved my roadking ,but,i cant touch floor and too heavy for me and often need a push on the smallest incline :D
This is absolutely the best bang for your $$$…2004 Honda Goldwing 244,202. 65 and 167lbs as fit as ever. BTW, I eat one meal per day, usually mid afternoon.
My motivation is if I lose some weight I won't have to figure out how to adjust my Harley-Davidson suspension.😅

I've just started using whey powder, I'm 60 and can't keep the weight on,always been that way but at my age find it hard to have an appetite, proformance right there lol😂
you need to exercise - do weights for some muscle mass and eat more protein
I find that when my hip pocket is empty, my bike goes faster, due to the reduced weight. But I still can't overtake a fuel station.
Thanks Aymen, Question? if you have a sugar snack in the 16 hour fast, does the body switch gears to use that sugar, delaying the autophagy? Great scenery! Thanks for sharing.
My suggestion is that you eat your cards at the start of your eating time and not the end .
Ideally to induce autophagy takes a minimum of 20-24hrs with a peak at 48hrs
I think for men it kicks in at 14 hours and women 16 not sure why the difference
In a lot of your vids (including this one) the clips where you sit in the garage talking only have audio on the left side (when watching with headphones for example). Is there a particular reason for this?

It won't be the case on the newer video's. This is a re edited, very old video. The initial videos I did incorrectly (mic settings) BUT i thought i sort of fixed this one?

What about just eating at night instead of dinner time like before bed and only having protein drinks during the day?
Eating too late lowers sleep quality. Protein powder is a poor substitute for protien from food. Then their is the issue of losing too many calories too quickly if you just have one meal
@@OldNotDead-Club but in this vid you say you just have one meal at dinnertime. One meal could never have enough protein to support muscle mass or growth, so I'm confused as to how heathy intermediate fasting can be without some type of protein supplementation.
@@lifesabar no i don't sya that - i say i eat my calories in a restricted time window. That's usually 2 big meals and a snack. I adjust this number of meals and calories to suit what i do - but all this is more complex and it's a Harley channel not a nutrient / training channel.

dont want to bust your bubble. If your body thinks it's starving, it will break down muscle for energy and not fat. it will take what calories you consume and store as fat.
While this is all good stuff about losing weight, let's clarify one thing. Intermittant fasting will NOT help you lose weight if you still consume the same amount of calories. Latest studies have shown that intermittant fasting makes it much easier to reduce calories, it does no good on it's own.

@@OldNotDead-Club Really? I thought the whole point of the video was to lose weight to inprove your bike's performance. And don't people lose fat in order to lose weight? My point is that we now know that intermittant fasting doesn't impart any health benefits. The health benefits come from losing weight. In the study, the people who did fasting but still ate the same calories showed no weight loss and no improvement on various health markers.
