I was Diagnosed in 1995 and was. Really ruff. I have been on Prednisone off and on through the years:-(. I got Asthma now. I pray every day that a cure will be found. Thank you for your lectures very nice :-)
great and helpful Video! If I might just pinpoint one thing; itd be even greater if u added the characteristic Laboratory values such as ACE as an Attempt to monitor the progress of sarcoidosis; greetings from Germany/Persia
We are so glad you found this helpful! That is a great suggestion. Generally, we do not have a say in what is being discussed throughout our lectures, as they are planned out by the presenter! However, it is common for similar topics to be discussed by different lecturers, so keep an eye out for more on Sarcoidosis and perhaps ACE will make an appearance in the future! Thanks again for watching!
Great series, thanks so much for posting these videos. Just one comment on this video, I thought Lofgren's syndrome was the triad of Stage I sarcoidosis (hilar lymphadenopathy) with arthritis and erythema nodosum. Thanks again.
My friend has two puffers one he carries all the time and relied on regularly and thought this was all he should be taking regulary and also uses prednisolone Steroid for expanding lungs his medications were well out of date and more than likely not as affective as they aught to have been. How ever he also had a prescription for seritide puffer a preventative which is recommended to be used twice a day. Once at breakfast once at night. My friend doesn't always use this as it is known to cause thrush which he understands can cause gum disease and toothdecay. It is necessary to wash out the mouth after inhaling seritide. He mistakenly uses his asmol every day and at times is extremely short of breath. He suffers from anxiety which is, I believe a symptom of lack of sleep and lack of oxygen at night due to broken sleep cycles. The seritide is supposed to help their breathing by expanding the lungs bronchi in the morning and at night to encourage better sleep cycles as this is when the most oxygen is released from our surrounding environment Through photo synthesis.
A lecture with a few big words that offers very little. How about eat healthily, be nice to people, read the occasional good book and if you're feeling unwell take yourself to a good doctor! And while we're about it "don't go ripping people off".
