As for the Webdings line, I can explain that. Wingdings is the font Gaster speaks in, it’s sort of like different symbols lining up to different words. It’s inferred the W.D. in his name stands for Wing Dings. So basically, he just added Web to his own name. The Lego universe, fun fact, was actually made by 14 y/o. He makes movie trailers in Lego, so they hired him to ACTUALLY make the scene in Across the Spiderverse. Not really a reference, just thought it was cool. Speaking of which, at 8:35 in the video, Spot makes a pose with one finger pointed up. There’s a random chance that inbetween two rooms, a grey door will appear. Going inside will reveal a room, all grey flooring. Just a single color. Inside is Gaster, or at least the image you see used to represent Gaster himself in the video. (Side note, there is a small chance it isn’t Gaster, but I think it is him. Gaster could be a play on Aster, and it and Wingdings are fonts just like (Comic) Sans and Papyrus, which has led the community, (myself included) to think he is a skeleton.) Speaking of which, in the title card at the beginning of the video, right before Spot starts, that area it shows IS Waterfall. When Spot is raging and screaming after finding Gaster, he screams “LOOK AT ME!” He says this to Miles upon telling him how he had an indirect hand in his creation due to him being changed by the damaged collider from the first Spiderverse movie, on top of Spot taking a spider from another universe which would bite Miles and give him his powers, and on top of that that Miles and everyone else saw him as a joke after his transformation. So he’s essentially asking Gaster to translate his hands strangling his neck into Wing Dings, which could also be interpreted as him daring Gaster to talk $&@! with a crushed windpipe. He mentions that when he strangles Gaster, he’ll finally have a canon event. Canon events on top of being a pivotal plot point in Across the Spiderverse, is also a reference to how we rarely see ANYTHING canon about Gaster. When Gaster casts the Spot down into some dark, seemingly aquatic location at 13:04, he begins talking about he was cast out like a shadow and doomed to be alone in nothingness, his family in his past. We are all biased when it comes to voting winners, however a great point I think seems right here is that Gaster's actually pretty good, calm approach whether it came naturally or in response to the spots bars lessened the emotional hype spot had. I feel as if the spot won on the hyping the audience part, but gaster won in terms of taking and rolling the punches

The awkward nerd Spot refers to at 2:56 is Alphys, who stutters and due to some…traumatic events I won’t spoil just in case you haven’t got there yet, is not exactly brimming with self-esteem.
As for the Webdings line, I can explain that. Wingdings is the font Gaster speaks in, it’s sort of like different symbols lining up to different words. It’s inferred the W.D. in his name stands for Wing Dings. So basically, he just added Web to his own name.
The Lego universe, fun fact, was actually made by 14 y/o. He makes movie trailers in Lego, so they hired him to ACTUALLY make the scene in Across the Spiderverse. Not really a reference, just thought it was cool.
Speaking of which, at 8:35 in the video, Spot makes a pose with one finger pointed up. Aside from this entire scene being a reference to the vision Miles sees of his and the Spot’s future encounter, this is also a reference to the scene just before, where Spot does a similar pose but with two fingers, snipping Miles’ webs like scissors.
At 10:20, those two people are monsters. Specifically, Gaster’s followers, who Spot himself referred to as “Cultists” earlier in the song at 2:33. “It’s rude to talk about people who are listening.” is a reference to their Gaster dialogue, where one is about to speak of Gaster to the player, but then says that line, indicating he’s sort of…nowhere and everywhere all at one now. Gaster likely has some degree of omnipresence due to his fractured state in reality. (P.S. There’s a common misconception in the fandom that everyone except a select few monsters forgot about Gaster, but this is not true. Just thought to warn you.)
At 10:58, in the scene where you can see the Record Teacher from Red Guy vs Truman in the background, Golden Freddy, (for some reason) etc., Spot gets a phone call. The phone call saying, “We got the wrong number!” is a reference to a random event in Undertale itself. You may randomly get a phone call from someone wanting to speak with someone before realizing they got the wrong number, breaking out in song over the phone to apologize. Who is unclear, all we know is that G is the first letter of their name. Whether or not is linked to Gaster is ambiguous.
The universe at 11:29 is the Deltarune universe. (Not to be confused with the Undertale universe.) Deltarune, on top of being a sister game, is also a separate universe than Undertale. The high-school kids (All monsters, one including an older version of Monster Kid from Undertale) stand in front of a mysterious door which theorists believe is linked to Gaster due to emanating a sound that’s one of Gaster’s sound effects slowed down by 666%. You can actually hear it at 2:09. (666 is also connected to Gaster, due to his in game stats having the same or repeating number of 666.)
The door at 11:41 is likely a reference to Gaster’s door, which itself is a random event like the wrong number phone call. This door is even referenced by Spot at 3:05. There’s a random chance that inbetween two rooms, a grey door will appear. Going inside will reveal a room, all grey flooring. Just a single color. Inside is Gaster, or at least the image you see used to represent Gaster himself in the video. (Side note, there is a small chance it isn’t Gaster, but I think it is him. Gaster could be a play on Aster, and it and Wingdings are fonts just like (Comic) Sans and Papyrus, which has led the community, (myself included) to think he is a skeleton.) Speaking of which, in the title card at the beginning of the video, right before Spot starts, that area it shows IS Waterfall.
When Spot is raging and screaming after finding Gaster, he screams “LOOK AT ME!” He says this to Miles upon telling him how he had an indirect hand in his creation due to him being changed by the damaged collider from the first Spiderverse movie, on top of Spot taking a spider from another universe which would bite Miles and give him his powers, and on top of that that Miles and everyone else saw him as a joke after his transformation. He says in the video that he’s not Gaster’s guinea pig and not his punchline and that he’s been disrespected and ignored enough times, of which I explained in the previous little tangent, as he was treated like a comical joke by his former peers due to his transformation.
Immediately after, Spot says that he’ll turn every timeline Gaster lives in to dust piles, a reference to how monsters will turn to dust immediately upon death. He also mentions the second after that Gaster can speak his hands. Gaster is referred to by the Riverperson (A Waterfall NPC) as The Man Who Speaks In Hands. This is likely due to the fact that symbols of hands are letters in the Wing Dings font. So he’s essentially asking Gaster to translate his hands strangling his neck into Wing Dings, which could also be interpreted as him daring Gaster to talk $&@! with a crushed windpipe.
He mentions that when he strangles Gaster, he’ll finally have a canon event. Canon events on top of being a pivotal plot point in Across the Spiderverse, is also a reference to how we rarely see ANYTHING canon about Gaster.
When Gaster casts the Spot down into some dark, seemingly aquatic location at 13:04, he begins talking about he was cast out like a shadow and doomed to be alone in nothingness, his family in his past. This is a reference to Spot, yes, but just as much to Gaster himself. I don’t think he’s…projecting per se, rather drawing a parallel.

Another detail is that when Popeye and Bluto (Popeye's rival) are in thr background of the old timey segment, they're actually mimicking the original Donkey Kong game with the hammer, barrels, construction location, and their roles in it, which makes sense because Donkey Kong was originally supposed to be a Popeye game before it began the introduction for Mario, DK, and Pauline after Nintendo didn't get the license.

We are all biased when it comes to voting winners, however a great point I think seems right here is that Gaster's actually pretty good, calm approach whether it came naturally or in response to the spots bars lessened the emotional hype spot had.
I feel as if the spot won on the hyping the audience part, but gaster won in terms of taking and rolling the punches
