Becky I hope you are fully recovered and feeling great. I’m a long time subscriber and I can’t tell you how much I love your videos!!!! Evidently a lot of people feel the same way. Please, please make more videos. On one video you mentioned doing a video on making a home kid friendly and I’m hoping you still plan to do that. Also I’d love to hear a little more about some of your reasoning for some of your design decisions. I too love Victorian decorating so much. It was absolutely gorgeous as all of your decorating is but it didn’t seem like your style.I figured you had just decided you didn’t like Victorian any longer. But I’m glad to see you do.I’m just so curious why you went in that decorating. I’d also love any decorating and tips on doing a child’s room. Especially girls because I have granddaughters that I would love to come and spend the night or weekend often. I grew up with wonderful grandparents and they were such a positive influence in my life. They took me to church and showed me how a Christian lives their lives. We have had it almost 3 yrs and I didn't get a lot done this past yr. We didn't go as often as normal with COVID. I am hoping to go more this year and finish up the trim work. Our son is in the middle of a divorce and we have the kids almost every day except weekends. But it seems his almost to be ex-wife is going to give us trouble taking the kids like we have always done. Hubby has been 4 or 5 times for different things that we needed to hire out. That is a great idea however we had Loews do the install there were no salvageable flooring from what was here as they had to Jack hammer the old tile out which only left small broken pieces there was some carpet but they cut it into small pieces making it easy for them to carry out. We also only had a few tiles etc. left from our new flooring which we kept Incase of damage to the new floors. We learned this lesson the hard way when one of our other homes received damage to the floor from a rolling desk chair that had worn a whole through the floor and when we tried to find the matching wood planks we were told they no longer carried it so now keep small leftovers for projects like that. I am all about recycling donating and reusing things I’ve already got if I would’ve thought about salvaging some of the carpet that was here I would’ve asked them not to cut it into such small strips that could have been perhaps been used to donate another lesson learned for me I guess thank you for the great idea and will use that and spread the word with anyone else I know doing renovations.

Thanks for sharing! We have never done a big remodeling project but would like to redo our master bathroom. Where do we even start? Is it best to hire a contractor to oversee? If we do ourselves how do we began and plan things?
That’s a big question, I prefer doing things myself but whether you do it yourself or hire someone we always begin with the largest structural changes first which means you have to have a plan to begin with on what you want to accomplish then I begin making a list for each room including hallways etc. and list out every single little thing that I want done in that room and check them off as we go. We hire out things that we know we either cannot do or would prefer someone else to do. We have installed floors before and know what a big project it would have been if we did it ourselves and because we wanted the entire house to have new floors we hired this job out so that it wouldn’t take us a year just to lay floors when it would take two weeks for a contractor to accomplish we also knew we couldn’t level our house and hired that out we are doing some electrical work and we are hiring out some electrical work but we are doing other things like painting adding trim and small woodwork items I’ll try to remember to include some of the stuff in my videos. Good luck and have fun with your bedroom redo

Thanks - appreciate your input!

Hi Becky, That is Im sure going to be perfect for the grand children. I have 2 a grand daughter age 15 and a grand son aged 3. I cant wait to see it completed. We have to do quite a lot at my house but funds wont allow it right now. xx
I I totally understand the funds situation we’ve had to prioritize things to be done now and things to be done later
Its only this way as I have had different illnesses since my Mom passed away so I havent been able to work, the last time I worked I was a carer for my fella 2 years ago, but we split up as he says he couldnt cope with me crying a lot so he left. xx
@@Yvonneb_ ohhhh I’m so sorry sounds like you have had a rough couple of years and with COVID and all the problems it has caused I’m sure it has been a lot for you. I will pray for better days ahead for you my friend
Thankyou so much I appreciate that. My mum used to say theres always some worse off well I feel so sorry for them if there is. I've had depression and anxiety, back problems, low iron deficiency anaemia and now frozen shoulder all in 2 years xx
Hi Becky - I love all of your videos - Oh how I wished I could have some creativity as you.. I have not seen recent videos for a while.. I hope all is well and hope to see some more soon.. Take care..
Hello Kiz, all is well but have had a few life setbacks. First, we came down with Covid in January. Then my daughter had a medical emergency that left us taking care of her three children for a month and a half, she is fully recovered and doing well now so I hope to get some videos out soon. Thank you for checking in.
Glad you are back and doing well
Its been several months since we heard anything from you. Just checking in to make sure you are ok and looking forward to upcoming videos of your new home.
I’m doing good and will be posting a very short video next week😀 we finally finished one project (the powder bath) then we will be leaving for a 10 day vacation to north and South Carolina
Please share the work process, not just the end decorating/fun part. It is helpful. Thanks!
I think if you still have your camper, this would be a good time to park it in the backyard and move in !! :)
Lol I was wishing it was here but it is still in a storage unit in Houston
Glad to see you back🥰
Yay... I got so excited to see this video. Missing you, hope all is well.

Hi Becky! Could you add closed captioning please?? TIA Hope you are doing well!
I will try again to figure out the closed caption. I tried last time and couldn’t figure it out. But I will do another search to see if I can find out maybe there is a new video that will help me. I know I enjoy that option as well when I am watching my favorite channels.
@@BeckysFeatheredNest Thank you. Unfortunately I could not understand most of what you were saying. Loved the ceiling in the children's room. It's a lot of work, but it will happen.
@@beverlyrbev3890 I will work on that
Hi Becky. Just checking on you. You doing ok?🤗
I was just thinking about you! Yes All is okay 🙂 I’ve been trying to think of a video I could post while I wait to get far enough along here to post something 🤔 I thought about a Q&A what do you think? I need something that doesn’t involve the house right now 😂
A Q & A would be great. I’m just glad you’re doing well.
But there’s no rush. I was just missing ya and decided to see if all is ok. Stressful remodeling a house huh?
@@janniestanley well renovating is certainly time consuming 😂 I will try to take time to gather a few questions I’ve been asked and see what I can do with that 😂
Things like how’d you get into decorating, organizing and remodeling? How’d you ROA your husband into doing all the work? Lol!
Seriously…is everything ok?
Have you moved again?
Yes we had a job transfer. We are still heartbroken over leaving our lake home I have a video out that talks about our move check it out for more details
