I came here to play with Derek. I can’t say I would be here if he wasn’t here, It definitely hurt not having him around, but after so long in the league you get used to it.

DC posted in his one year with Davante one of Davante’s best years in his career. They have great chemistry dating back to Fresno State and the WR coach for the saints is Fresno States old receiver coach and it’s Davante’s favorite coach ever.

FIRST YEAR Carr to Devante was 1516 14 TDs even with Mcdaniels as coach the following year he and Carr connected for 1100 yards. As a Raider fan i was optimistic this was going to get better, once the defense side of the ball was fixed.

I think that Adams is gonna be a Saint if the front office is smart about this. Objectively, Carr has played better this season than Rodgers and the Saints are in the easier division. Also, watching Adams beat up on the Falcons would be legendary

I read this morning that Washington Commanders was his latest, preferred choice. Would love to see Davante and Jayden together.
This makes more sense as Jaden is on rookie deal most of there roster is young. Saints shouldn't get involved in this it would only put the Saints into more financial mess and getting another older player.

@@laugh4jay it makes perfect sense actually. If lattimore is a free agent next year and can trade him to get compensation back why wouldn’t you do that?. He’s injured anyway and why let him walk for nothing at the end of the year if he decided to sign elsewhere. And not to mention he’ll be 29 years old end of the season.
The only thing I can see The Saints offering is maybe a 2nd and a 5th round pick along with one of the Saints prospect WR’s. I don’t see them trading away Lattimore. No way!

I like the trade, personally. It's about time that their tendency to bring in people who are Carr's friends (Moreau, Peterman) to actually be a benefit. I'd offer a 2nd and 6th this draft and a 3rd in the next (or something similar). Personally, as ADams, I'd rather be with a friend that have to participate in Rodgers televised midlife crisis.

I will wait to see DA doesn't do the right things, at least not the things the fan base hopes for. So I won't get my hopes up. If they do it, yes,we did something smart.. But if they don't do it, then it won't make me so mad.

Considering the Saints have a terrible track record of Drafting #1 and #2 Picks (Trevor Penning, Caesar Ruiz, Marcus Davenport and Foskey) I would gladly give a #2 and have Mrs. Benson to bake the Raiders cookies, which resembles Al Davis in order to facilitate that Trade!

kicking the can down the road again has completely destroyed this organization. This part of the issues with this team last few years & beyond is that they have paid older players and now your stuck with this deals for years to come with huge cap hits. This doesn't allow you go after other players also your roster is older, some players are no longer on the roater or trade bait for another team because of bad contract. This team has too many holes and need to this beyond this season. Carr contract is problem & we have already restructure his deal. This team needs to be able to walk away and think about the future this deal wouldn't allow this.
Carr's contract is an absolute bargain for the production and for the quarterback market. We are a solid team that lacks a physical receiver and impact players on the OL/DL. When healthy, we showed what kind of team we could be. When plagued by injuries and making a few costly errors, we were still competitive and lost super close games. As good as Olave is, he is not on Davante Adams level. Few are. He'll turn it up field in situations where Olave will run for the sideline. We need that type of guy.
The "kicking the can down the road" phrase needs to be retired by now. Obviously upper management has a better grasp on the economics than the average fan, and we should just be worried about our team avoiding injuries and costly mistakes.
