The latest firmware 1.73 gives full control for the Nikon D850 and some later Nikon DSLRs (Zhiyun do not actually specify which others these are). Sony still very limited and the Panasonic GH3/4/5 is currently limited to start stop video. Take photo, but their chart states control of AF. As other reviewers have mentioned. This is not a fault of Zhiyun (they obviously would want all cameras to be fully compatible from a sales point of view). It is the Camera companies that have to allow their firmware to support the Crane 2's functionality.
I have an old crane and made some sitting profiles for different situations. In the phone app I named these profiles; funeral, wedding, and sports. QUESTION, will those profiles show up in the menu on the gimbal?

Agree with everything except the dual grip comments. The true dual grip is much better than the mini. Where the mini shines is cost and that’s about it. Good review

How do i recenter crane 2? Its a pain for me for not knowing this cause when i use ff mode to rotate then switch to other mode. Its not center anymore. Or does zhiyun dont have recenter feature?
La verdad quede muy decepcionado no te imaginas todo el tiempo que ahorre para poder comprarme este estabilizador, he visto miles de videos, tutoriales sigo la pagina de Zhiyun Crane, absolutamente todo, lei las especificaciones mil veces y dice que es compatible con la serie D de Nikon, mi camara es una Nikon D7500, cuando lo compre sabia que para poder usar el follow focus debia usar el complemento que agrega Zhiyun Crane, y por eso lo compre contigo, incluso la caja misma dice que incluye el accesorio, pero que gran sorpresa me llevo al destapar mi caja y darme cuento que el accesorio no venia e el paquete, se que la compra fue hace mas de un mes pero el paquete fue comprado y guardado en mi direccion de Miami por que yo estaba en Colombia y ya pronto venia para aca, sin embargo me siento decepcionado de que prometieras el Follow Focus y este no estuviera incluido en mi paquete

They are very similar in cost actually, I've had very little hands-on with the ronin S but am planning to do a side by side in the future to compare them. I really like the Crane 2 and haven't had any issues with it other than the things I mentioned in the video.
LensProToGo I think I’m go with it. I’d like to have a gimbal also for my dslr 😉. I’ve been using my Karma Grip for now. Have a look at my Japan Video when you get a chance. I believe it’s going to be a step up if I get Zhiyun Crane 2
I was super excited to use this Crane 2 Gimbal but unfortunately I received a damaged product. The battery door hinge on the gimbal fell off when I opened it. In my opinion having a door hinge for the batteries is extra and unnecessary
I just got this and I am having an issue with the lock mode. I press it once for lock mode and after a few seconds the lock mode goes right back to pan mode. How do I keep it on lock mode?
Hi, thanks for the review. This is my first dslr gimbal. I got it balanced, turned it on and it worked perfect. But when I turned it off it appears to not be balanced anymore. Do we need to rebalance it after each time we use it? Thanks.

I plan using while biking or skiing in the winter. even though I have a light camera, someone said I might better take the zhiyun crane 2 cuz uf the higher wind resistance due to its weight. is that something you could agree with?

Can't see the camera screen with the app, my panasonic is connect to the crane2, the app work but i can't see what i'm filming, i have to move randomely...very useful...its like having a Ferrari with no wheel... filming something you can't see...but hey...its stable. check!
Can someone tell me how on EARTH to put the plate on the camera/lens? I've got a Canon 5D IV with a 24-70mm f2.8 lens, and I cannot for the life of me get the plate on. The front part keeps bashing against the lens and there's no information anywhere on how to position this. Please help, someone!!!! :-(

Basically in crane 2 there are 4 modes PF,L,F, and POV . We can go in POV MODE if we are in F MODE and then press mode button 4 times

Cost and size, it keeps the rig small while adding a mounting point for something like a monitor or microphone.

The micro will fit into the larger part of the usb port on the 5dmkIV to gain control of camera settings.
