Apparently frosti was originally a full song, but then bjork turned it into a music box style tune. I wish the original version released as well. It’s such a wonderful tune
Goodness, I remember listening to Vespertine when I bought my first flat in 2001. Listened and listened. The whole album reminds me of the time before and the time after. Precious days that I alway fall back on, when I was exploring life and catching it in my hands. Happy.
i had a dream once, i was walking the streets of my hometown, going towards the ocean. everything covered in snow, warm lights leading the way. at the end of the path, my father, who passed since i was 11, carrying a small pink present box. frosti was playing in the background. as i was about to open the little box, i fell to my knees. i couldn’t stop crying, and i cried both in dream and waking. i woke up crying, yet it was so beautiful. maybe one day i’ll open the box.
Omggg when I was younger I had a dream where i was in a maze, which was in my backyard for some reason? Anyway once I finally got to the end I saw my cat standing next to a box, it almost seemed like *he* was presenting it to me, but when I tried to open it I woke up, I usually forget most if not all my dreams but for some reason that one's always stuck with me, I'm pretty sure not long after the dream his health started getting worse, eventually being put down, weird how dreams can leave you with so many unanswered questions, on one end the dream felt so random, and there's a good chance it meant nothing, but why would I still remember it so clearly if it meant nothing? I sometimes wonder if I'll ever find out what my unanswered dreams were trying to tell me
I always play this album a lot....especially during the winter, since I am reminded of how happy I become when it gets cold outside and the snow starts to fall!!! Oh em gee....fighting back the tears of joy and pain while feeling kinda emotional about past family members who are no longer living on this side of eternity....
I share these feelings with you and they are never gone. Sometimes, I can smell my mum's hair and then I know, she is around. There is more to this world than the eye can see! Feel...
Identiche. *THANK YOU FOR ALL, BJÖRK*
Basically it’s a music box « ritournelle ». Thus melody is limited to one single round here limited to approx.. 1 minute and 45 seconds because of the metal disc diameter (here a Regina 15.5 inches plate punched by Jack Perron). I think Bjork wanted to keep a simple « round of it » in the album as an interlude rather than looping it several times.
Hey, thanks so much for posting this extended version. What a treat!! Where did you find this version? The track on the album is less than three minutes.
Wow! You're editing skills are first class!! The original version on the album is only 1.41 minutes long. How did you make it sound as though it was seamless? Are you able to produce a version half the length? Thanks once again for what you did.
IllKillemall just to say could you put a better background I think it would look better than just staring at the Swan not to be rude just pointing out that you could have made a better background pls pls pls
Nazma: It needs the moving imagery from the other Frosti UA-cam post, the gorgeous computer programmed circles of beauty moving around each other, maybe these two could get together.

...because the album version is too short. Thanks.

I agree, almost. F*ck winter though 🥶🥶
I’m crying so hard with this
I imagined your tears turning into the sparkly salt crystals making the sounds of this song as they roll down the folds of your sweater
this song makes me cry too
this sounds like winter ❄️☃️✨
Exactly, love it.
Such a bitter sweet tune
bjork is a genius
I would never get tired of this

Oh dear God, this is so beautiful
I had the double CD with b sides. I really wish I never sold it to the record store. Totally regret it. Her best album by far.
bro took extended seriously and i’m loving it
I'm counting finding this superior extended version as the completion of my mission here on Earth. Thank you. See you in the Star Fields
This is now my new ringtone.
Thank you sooo much. Now i can cry for 15 minutes straight ❄🌸❄🌸
This reminds me of my times as a kid playing pokemon crystal, especially the exploring caves part...
Merry Christmas
Merry christmas :)
This track is wonderful, and it's lenght is perfect (Bjork knows what she does)😉
Why the album version is too short??? this theme is magic.
Javier Cajales Cid the shorter version is much more elusive and Ephemeral just beyond reach
it's an interlude. basically the one that cuts the first part of vespertine and transitions to the second part of it with aurora

Wow! Thanks for making a snippet of a masterpiece longer!! I love Bjork forever!!!♥♥♥
Muchas gracias, es una caricia para el alma
amazing
This a beautiful gift you've uploaded❄ 💞 Thankyou 💞❄
Bjork had the instrument made and wrote every note of this piece onto a large metal disc with marker pen

So Cute
Is there a way to make this melody my ring tone?
I have it, you can find it in zedge app
yes, search for a youtube/mp3 converter
GorgeousTune! Would like to know how to get a copy of this version. Nice job on the extended edit, whoever did it.
Ideal ring tone material
I think it's played on a glacier icicle musical instrument...but not sure
it was supposed to an interlude i think ?? usually Bjork albums do not exceed over 12 songs, maybe 10 -11 songs ?
nope... look at Médulla or Utopia...
mp3 please?

listening to this at 075 speed
wow it's oddly magical
also it's almost like there's bjork humming along in an extremely low voice
Great idea, thanks
Sounds best
