Very informative and I so much envy the owner of that book. I currently own an incomplete 1775 set of 6 books "The poetical Works of Geoff. Chaucer." Love all six and I cherish the old english they were written in. Great video, thank you. SCW
I have loved Chaucer since I first read The Canterbury Tales in high school and played around with the Middle English words. I even made a half-hearted attempt to memorize the prologue, but now I only remember the first four lines. Lerer's insights are wonderful and it is a pleasure to hear how he approaches and seeks meaning in old texts.
