Galathea Bay: Will the World's Largest Sea Turtle Return to Nest in India?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 жов 2021
- Galathea Bay Wildlife Sanctuary lies on the tip of Great Nicobar Island, the southernmost island of Andaman and Nicobar archipelago. Isolated from the mainland, four species of turtles nest along its pristine coast, including the world’s largest, the leatherback. However, in January 2021 the protected status of the sanctuary was canceled for the construction of a transshipment port.
The leatherbacks have built nests here for millions of years. If the development of the port goes through, will the turtles return?

oh nooo...the last slide was devastating.....this video was very cleverly made.....all the viewers create an emotional bond with galathea and the end sentence feels much more than just a personal wound
Thank you Sarthak. Glad you liked it. Please share our video and subscribe to our channel to support us.
The last part was so heartbreaking💔💔
Seriously, there is enough for everyone's need but not everyone's greed😔
The great nicobar transshipment port can be constructed without affecting the leatherback turtle nesting. Science can always solve problems.
One of the most best camera photography and audio level . It's also so learning about nature and leatherback turtles 🐢
This video 📷 turely shows beauty of nature

Brilliant articulation and very well made video..We need to protect Galathea.
I have been there. The beautiful experience can't be put into words.
Not sure about leatherbacks but China, srilanka etc will be impacted with a transhipment port...
A sincere request to the viewers,
please raise your voice to re-notify the protected area. Transhipment hub may be built in Campbell bay area in the same island. Govt should consider the proposal to protect this pure treasure of nature.
We will be just waiting for your next awesome biography on nature and animals
Many more to come! Stay with us :)

the moef just gave a go for this project. my heart is broken and how. depressing.
Yes, we are heartbroken as well.
Especially after Galathea Bay Wildlife Sanctuary was denotified for a port construction project, I hope this video helps people know the importance of the nesting site and becomes an important tool to reverse the decision of denotification of the sanctuary.
Precisely why making this video was very important for us. Thank you for your support. Stay with us :)
