I hate when people ask her "what's the difference between stripping and burlesque?" ,it's so evident that they just want to prompt a hostile reaction as if she'll say "oh strippers are cheap burlesque dancers are classy" she's not shallow and pretentious
I'm a proud feminist and I can say that Dita started my transition in my younger years from misogynistic girl to full blown femme feminist. People who think she is not a feminist have a wrong concept of feminism, for me she is the pinacle of feminism and self love and I absolutely adore her
She gets asked the same questions all the time it's a shame. 😕 I kinda wana ask her really random but simple questions haha like fav colour? Fav alcoholic drink? Fav toothpaste idk LOL
MIGHTYM4RS right?! i totally agree. if i hear one more interviewer ask her, "you used to work in a lingerie store?" one more time, i might scream. that's pretty common knowledge at this point.
@@shubhangisinha5786 ....what she said in the Wendy Williams interview was what that in her early 20's, she lost weight, and that's what caused her to lose some of her bust, which she decided to get back via implants. She said NOTHING about it being a result of "drugs" in this interview, nor in any other interview I've ever read or watched with Dita. I'm not sure where you got the drugs thing from.
I bet it's the only time that creepy guy has lasted five minutes - YUK! Poor Dita, she coped beautifully, what a graceful, lovely woman. Here's to good old fashioned glamour, it brightens everyone's day!
i am surprised many ppl find the interviewer creepy! i found him cute and courteous, maybe a little nervous by her presence. i actually thought to myself: "how can i make a man be this charmed and engaged when i speak?"
is it me or are the women who call themselves feminist becoming more oppressive than the patriarchy they think they're standing up against. Dita is doing what she wants legally and shes a business woman and entrepreneur it doesnt get more equal than that.
Women get caught up in Dita, I can read that in the comment field, how women put her on a pedestal‼️I think she's classy, a Libra wt a huge sense of style, I think Gwen Stefani is more interesting as a Libra and very stylish, she has Tomboy qualities beside the red lipstick and jewelries ‼️💎 Libra. ▪️▪️▪️🔺
It is quite coplicated the feminist question. Dita works with the sexualization of her body and she declares to be a streepers. Problems start when we consider that she had a better work conditions that 99% of streapers. And to be a sexual object still a problem for most women nowadays. So, even if she represents a good exemple of female business, and also an empowered image of woman, the "cost" of her mass media success are the expectation for women (and men too) to be perfect and glamourous all the time. Even if Dita said many times that she believes in "personal glamour for all", the media use people like her to claim the contrary: everyone had to be perfect. So, I think that feminists are against the use of Dita´s image in mass media, more that Dita herself.
there are 2 perspectives in feminism, the ones that are letting go the superficial image of women because they drastically dont want to be seen in a standard mold, and there are women out there embracing the standard mold as a part of celebrating their femininity and working their way up from there. Because no matter what you look like people should threat you like a person and take you seriously, and that is what feminism is about, not about what you look like. Its simply a self respecting woman that stands up for herself and is not just nodding yes at everything and doesnt bring others down and Dita is that. And the guy who is asking her about breast implants is just straight down disrespectful, see the difference? Its like the lady and the peasant
I think is a mistake to debate whether the search for perfection is a good or a bad thing. Perfection doesn't exist. It's easy to believe that since Dita wears makeup all the time she doesn't accept herself. I can tell you from a personal experience that I truly enjoy makeup, heels, and dresses; is a way of fast-biography and I get to show my personal values and ideas. The argument that says that women changing her looks are superficial, is actually one of the MOST superficial arguments because not all women do "drag" because they are insecure, or hate themselves. I'm sure Dita and a lot of other people (included myself) will be more than fine if makeup and heels stop existing, we just won't feel the FREEDOM to express ourselves with the same excitement. Traditional feminist? The feminists who are traditional in today’s day in age were from the 60s and onward.
