    Matt, this is so much amazing content in one video. An it’s best because its fast fast fast with little to no explanation. This is like a $99.95 type video. Honestly, thank you so much for this.

    my kids are just getting started so this is real helpful. Is that orange ball in the beginning a golf ball? Is that because it's a good idea to practice with something that resembles the height and that it's less bouncy then, say a tennis ball? thx for the video

      Happy to help, Andrew! Yes, the orange ball is a golf ball. We find golf balls are typically a little more reactive than say a tennis ball, requiring a soft touch and good wrist roll to maintain control.

    Thanks for the video. I know i’m late commenting, but how long should each workout be? I looked it up and it said around 10-15 minutes. Just wanted to get your perspective.

    2 questions, are you using a normal black puck? and if so how do you get it to slide on the tiles. I have a hockey shot tile and the puck doesnt move very well on it any ideas what may be wrong or how I could fix this?

    • @HockeyPlayersClub
      @HockeyPlayersClub  4 роки тому

      Yes, we use normal black pucks on our HockeyShot tiles. To be honest, we've never had a problem with our pucks sliding. Have you contacted HockeyShot? We've always found their customer service helpful :)

    Hey Guys, should I use my On Ice Stick also Off Ice (In normal Shoes)? Or better I buy the same Stick and cut him a bit more to reach the Same Base of Length?

    • @HockeyPlayersClub
      @HockeyPlayersClub  2 роки тому

      Totally up to you. If you have the funds and don't mind buying another stick that compensates for the lack of skates, great! If not, use what you already have and you'll still reap the benefits of the drills.

      I use my on ice stick, but add a knob lower down the twig to compensate for height difference

    I keep chopping at the tiles when I stick handle quickly is that bad? Also how can I prevent it?

    • @HockeyPlayersClub

      It's something we see a lot when training hockey players. I always tell players "spread the peanut butter" don't "chop the onions." From what I've seen, this chopping motion happens when players use their arms/biceps when handling the puck/ball by lifting their stick and then lowering it with force. Your bottom hand is probably gripping the stick too tight if this is what you're doing. Instead, allow the top hand to control the motion of the stick with a turning motion. Your bottom hand should be loose on the stick. You should be holding the stick with just enough pressure to hold it, but also loose enough to allow the stick to slide through your hand. Now turn the stick and blade like you're spreading peanut butter, instead of aggressively lifting and placing it. You should be using your wrist joints with little movement of your arms when stick handling. Hope this helps :)
