As an American, I have to say I’m going to WION more and more for my news. Although you tell it’s a little biased toward India, it’s leagues ahead of American media in terms of objectivity.

I have a friend in China he told me over 12 years ago China had just opened a new train line .A couple months later the train derailed in a remote area . Everyone in one of the train carts died . Instead of taking the dead passengers out the authorities left them in the cart and dug out a large ditch and got a crane and put it in ,then buried it . It raised major concern from families but the authorities shut it down claiming that they weren’t in that train . He always tells me they do things like this . When he’s back in China he keeps his conversations in WeChat with me simple and doesn’t give me any Covid developments there in fear of the CCP spying.

Any thing like this is possible in dictatorships and Communist countries. Yet you get so many lovers of these mad rulers. Many of these counterfeits will say good things about these mad rulers but will never want to go and live there. I know of a Pakistani who always spoke shit about the US and then one day he told me that he was leaving. I asked him if he was going back to Pakistan, he said no, he was going to the US.

The comments reflect a sad truth: we are all starved for this type of factual, forthright reporting. It really took me a moment to adjust to her blunt style, but I love it.. I now realize I can no longer waste my time listening to legacy US media.

No trust me. WION it's good to listen to when you mix it with a whole bunch of stuff. But it is 100% in line with India's interests. I also catch them inserting Little things here and there to push their agenda.
Such as in this episode they said China made the virus. This is far from objective, though possible. The lab Leak hypothesis, species transmission hypothesis, and intentional release hypothesis all lack sufficient evidence (because China refused to allow foreign investigation). But WION obviously wants to paint the worst one as China is currently India's biggest contesting Force.
I'm honestly down to listen to anyone bashing China so long as I'm willing to take it with a grain of salt. But this changed with their coverage of the invasion of Ukraine.
India has a vested interest in a friendship with Russia and so has been painting them with a positive light and trying to delegitimize Ukraine's position.

There are some great independents on UA-cam, but many don't have the resources to research their own stories - they are just reading from other news feeds. The Damage Report actually gets boots on the ground for some domestic stories, but they are rather limited.

She repeatedly points out that the only reason there's speculation is because of the FACT that China is silencing information about the bombs, coronavirus, etc.
Editorials in US have taken to playing jump-to-conclusions and positing that their presumptions are true until somebody can prove it false. She provides several alternative theories, and repeatedly provides room that they are a coincidence.

I am not saying that they aren't at fault at all but when a country's media is so absolutely controlled by those in power, many atrocities can get downplayed amd manipulated. This is from personal experience, during the Kashmir exodus in India, a lot of citizens didn't know how horrifying the whole thing was. Those affected form a small percentage of the whole population and can easily be shielded from public eye so politicians can maintain their power. And I suspect this isn't a recent or local phenomenon at all.

I wouldn't be so fast to judge. Yes, she is good, but honest, partially. India and China have quite a bit of tension over border disputes. She is definitely putting a spin on it, tying together a lot of unrelated incidents to push a narrative.

I like this reporter’s delivery. When she makes an important statement, she actually is quiet for a couple of seconds for the seriousness of the matter to hit our conscious mind. Much more impactful than the normal babbling. Also, she must study the foreign names ahead of time as she seems to get the correct pronunciation. Good job.
I like her reporting style, but I think she is reading it and is waiting for the next line to appear, but It works very well as it allows the listener to absorb what she says.
