Sometimes they are in certain competitions. Eg the freshwater pro at kellys surf ranch

How would you go about creating artificial waves in the ocean? I'm not talking about wake, but actual waves.
@@sebastianclerey3207 Thankfully they pulled that awful event from the CT. G-Land and Supertubos are no brainers compared to the repetitiveness of Surf Ranch.
Music sucks.
This is what's killing surfing. Wasting whole waves for an aerial. Today surfing lacks any feel, soul or smoothness. That along with the tour itself. the best surfers in the world right now are the ones that aren't on the Tour and don't even compete. Why you see every corporate-sponsored free surfer riding the the way they did in the 70's and early 80's.
Well surfing in the 70s and 80s ruined the soul of 60s longboarding, and I’d say the soul-less surfing your talking about was probably 5 years ago. Today people are doing airs with style and on alt’s etc. Ryan Burke, surfing becomes progress overtime just like anything, if you want to surf soul you can still surf high performance just like mason ho.

I am so sick of airs I see the difficulty and talent but it’s boring floaters look way better. I’m hoping a new move gets invented soon
