I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in the background for the last spell card. I thought it was more impressive in the PC-98, where it showed the catastrophic damage to the surroundings the fight against her caused.
If the spellcard background was still there in the last spell then you wouldn't be able to see Makai on fire.
Here, it's just a flat plane. Meaning there is literally nothing left of Gensokyo.
So it's more fitting with my Timeline Purge and Reconstruction headcanon...
Yeah, I kinda wish that instead of the standard spell card background, it showed the blazing Pandæmonium.

Exactly. Shinki was hurling so much at you that it was razing the surrounding area and setting Pandæmonium ablaze, hence why the background, in the original, steadily got redder and redder, until it shows the entire surrounding area on fire at her last attack.

+i don't even kno Fun fact this Jinx guy made his own Touhou clone called len'en.
Eevster 72 Len'en only copies Touhou in its style, and that's the only thing these ones have in common. Len'en has a completely different story (which, in fact, is sometimes even more interesting and logical than what of touhou) and characters, so I have to disagree with your notion.
i don't even know anymore I meant gameplay wise, clone just means it has a slimier game play style, but len'en 4's going to change that.

It's actually called "Devil's recitation" and the name refers to the fact that Shinki invented it, and Shinki could be considered a devil. Byakuren was locked up in Makai for over a thousand years. During that time she saw Shinki use that attack, and now she recites Shinki by using her attack.
I think Devil's Recitation is the name of only Byakuren's card, because it's literally recounting what the "devil god" did.

And Yumeko's appearance was a really cool remind of the classic era of touhou where Sakuya/Youmu tries to stop you at all cost.
Shinki is an awesome boss ! I really love the fight in Mystic Square, so this is really godly for me ! Shinki's probably my favorite 6th boss fight in touhou, it's kind of dramatic and spectacular at the same time. Her wings are impressive.
I really want to try and play this. A modernized version of PC-98 games? Do want.

I remember looking forward to April 1's every year just for these. No game, but at least there's the epic OST.
Because this was a very cruel April fools joke, they had no intention of making it downloadable.
Everyone is Talking about Yuyuko, Kanako, Sanae, and especially Byakuren’s spell cards being inspired by Shinki, how could anyone forget that Shinki’s first non-spell looks like Benben’s Heikyoku "Sounds of Jetavana's Bell"?

Don't forget that byakuren's spell is called "devil's recitation", and Shinki is considered by many to be the devil.
I hope he remakes the first five games also, it would be awesome, plus think of the music, my god, it would be amazing.

I like it when this is speed
In the more recent touhou gmes, there is something called the 'point of collection' when you go above it you collect, all/most of everything on the screen. pause at 4:26 you see that black and white sphere? it's there but lower, so in short, when your character goes high on screen you get all/most powerups wherever they are.
I kind of wish it used the older point/power system, i.e. point items= 1ups and power is out of 128 instead of 4.00. It was just better that way.
This gave me flash backs of my Marisa run in this game.
Plus, Shinki's is kinda like the advanced version of 'Evil Recitation', the name of it could be translated into 'Evil/Demon Incarnate'.

Like any fan, I wish this was real. Still, congrats to the maker, he did an awsome job. I love the bullet patterns and Shinki's wings look awsome. Also, really liked the character designs showcased at the beggining. All in all, really good watch, even if it's an april fool's joke.
Gotta love it when a mid boss is harder than some stage bosses are.
I hated Yumeko so much, be it in Stage 5 or here.
But... Stage 6 in MS didn't have a mid boss.

It's a remake though, and I guess it was done to make the Yumeko fight more normal to modern game's Stage 5's, since the midboss pattern is one of her stage 5 ones.
The Funny thing is that the mid-bosses in the PC-98 games that are nameless appear in the modern games like normal youkai

That's because it's Shinki's attack from the original. Byakuren copied Shinki, but that might makes sense considering she was locked up in Makai :).
Who wouldn't want to share this game??!!!! I am so enraged! This is the best remake of any touhou game I've ever seen and to sum it up, this is a selfish and mentally cruel act! I am sorry, I really wish this game could have made it to the internet. Besides, isn't You Tube all about SHARING?
I hope ZUN one day will remake the first five games, with the option of choosing between classic graphics and modern graphics.

@MarlyFlowerXI Err...about that one with Aya as the main character...It's called Shoot the Bullet, and you can download it off of some sites. Trust me, I did my research, and from what I can see it exists.

Also, this my children is the reason why PC98 games didn't got a remaster on Windows - it's too much for anyone to handle this.
