Excellent how-to video. I will be doing this myself with the guidance you provided. Thank you so much. It looks factory on your set-up!

Well done. Looks tidy, and solves what I see as a glaring omission on this model. But the Transalp is a great bike for general use - now over 16,000 kms here in Australia (10k miles) - and I have been looking for just such a solution. The sunglare issue not so crucial, so long as it CAN be read, but keep us posted if you find a better model. Perhaps it needs a small sun-shade added?
I already 'went down the rabbit-hole' of a 'bar mounted useless little one off Ebay, which was absurdly inaccurate, and a complete waste of time (for anyone thinking of one of those little units with a dial and an alloy 'bar mount - they don't work) so thanks for finding one that does. At least we presume it does. Kindly let us know about accuracy, and whether you find an easier-to-read model in the future.
    Thanks for the video!

I have a friend with an African twin and another with a t7. They both have factory gauges and mine is always within a degree of theirs. It is very accurate and I have also considered some type of eyebrow for mine. Other than the glare, I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m glad this helped and I greatly appreciate the feedback. I’m at 8k miles of pure enjoyment on my transalp.

@@slo_moto Excellent news - thanks for your prompt response. I will chase up the same unit. Looks quite OK set there - kind of balances the 12V outlet on the other side which I too already fitted. Yes, these bikes really grow on you - they're just so easy to ride - no stress. I'm off for an early coffee with the bike guys - 7.30 AM on a cold winter morning here in South Australia, yet I can't wait to get out on it!

Thanks, not sure if anyone will be interested but I thought I’d throw it out there.
