Learnt this many, many years ago but always used a template that was made by someone else. This is the first time I've seen a tutorial on how to make the actual template, thank you so much for making old techniques 'New ' again. Love your cards you've made here.
My type of card Sam. Love it & will be making at least one very shortly for a very special younger sister who was diagnosed with breast cancer & has had surgery! I'm sure it will put a smile on her face. Be safe & TYFS
Thank you so much Sam you have answered my prayer I wanted so much to have the dimensions to make this template myself your cards are all masterpieces ❤❤❤
Braiding is one of the first things I learnt Ina cardmaking course about 13 years ago. Going to make some more this week. Thankyou for reminding me of this.
Finally, someone (you) took the time to demonstrate the template. Thank you so much. I have wanted to make the lattice for 3 or 4 years and now I can. I appreciate your time and skill.
Another fantastic video, Sam - gorgeous cards, and all the information I need to try to replicate them. Plus no need to save up for new stamps, dies or other products! (I like "new stuff" as much as anyone; I just can't afford to indulge very often.) Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I found out how to do this 20 plus years ago, but I made a lot of copies so I could have them handy any time I wanted to use them. I used this technique to make bookmarks. Glad to see it again.
I am sorry that I just found your videos, I'm very late. But let me tell you, you're amazing! I already subscribed, and I promise I'll catch up with everything. Thank you for sharing your creativity. Wish you and your loved ones the best always. Greetings from Morelia México
Thank you for showing the technique of doing the beautiful lattice fold....the cards are beautiful. I did one of this lattice card many years ago and always kept the pattern under my glass mat....well done and TFS
Made this card yesterday will post it on the MUCers Facebook soon. Love this and your instructions were so well explained it was very easy to do. Thank you Sam.
A lovely modern take on the classic Lacé/Incire technique from way back. I have lots of the templates and this gives new life to them. The threading of ribbon is a wonderful touch. TFS Sam.
Beautiful card I had a card kit years ago to make the lattice it had a circle lattice as well I think it was kanban must have been well over 12 years ago. Bought it from qvc when Dawn Bibby was on the channel doing her craft. I probably still have it somewhere. Love your demonstrations and tutorials Sam.
Fabulous video Sam you make it so easy for us to follow. I used to do the craft called Lace/Incire years ago and had every template available lol! I have carpel tunnel in both hands so found it difficult to do so gave them all to a craft club. Your method is so much easier for me to do thank you so much xx
I watch the lives and always ask whether there will be a UA-cam version ....Sometimes I think Sam must be sick of this question in the live! I loved this technique! But inspiration didn't take a hold ...I have been building up elements for a very special birthday in August AND after watching this video I am now able to incorporate an element that I have already used! in a card for this special birthday in a different way (so it will not look the same ) Thanks for the lives that plant an idea and thanks for the UA-cams that release the idea ! Appreciated!
I love all your tutorials Sam you explain everything so well and you go slow enough to be able to absorb every detail. I made the butterfly one for a friend and she loved it. Thank you so much for sharing. X
Beautiful cards Sam. The cards with the ribbon going down the side reminds me of the old cards. Retro feel? Art Deco? I am not sure of the proper name but I know you know what I am talking about. I love the cards from the 30’s and the 40’s. TY so much for sharing. Lisa
Really gorgeous, Sam! I did a lattice edge card a couple years ago, but I'd used a template off the net that was linked and I didn't like it (because the lines weren't precise). Thank you so much for showing how to create my own template! ~ Kimy
Wow Sam! I have seen these cards and they are beautiful but I was very intimidated to even try but your tutorial is great and so easy to understand thanks!! The ribbon is lovely and finishes the card beautifully!
I tried one of these when I first got into card making .....must look in my supplies and see if I can find my templates I might still have my book on This also
