I too believe he was on the right side of justice. He didn’t deserve the rejection and vilification from fellow African Americans for doing his job and what was right. He was up against the celebrity of O.J. Simpson and he lost most unfortunately. For him to be demonized is just plain wrong as was the glove fitting scene at trial. In a real sense, he triumphed over O.J. Simpson when Simpson was unable to resume the life and celebrity status he led before the double homicide in Brentwood on the night of June 12, 1994.

SighDown No, he was found NOT GUILTY. Instead of letting the media control your thinking, examine the facts.
One of which is Nicole Brown Simpson had skin and blood underneath her acrylic nails from fighting off her attacker that did NOT match OJ Simpson's DNA and Ron Goldman had bruises on his hand from fighting off his attacker but OJ didn't have a mark or a scratch on him. The pilot who flew the airplane OJ took to Chicago testified, along wirh multiple other fans who spoke with him at the airport and during the flight, testified that he had no cuts or bandaids on his hand that night.

@@ginasellers3207 People need to watch the trial and not listen to the media spin. There were a ton of reasonable doubts in this case, besides what you just pointed out.
The socks for example. So OJ got rid of every other bloody clothing item he had on and just happened to let his socks on the floor at the end of his bed??? Besides the fact the socks were not there in the original police video, blood was not found on those socks for months. No dirt or other trace evidence on socks despite supposedly fighting with Ron in the dig out dirt area.

Look carefully at 1:15 of the video. The glove on the left hand of Simpson appears to be intentionally rolled up to make it look like it doesn’t fit, but the front of the glove covers the whole front of the left hand. There was enough of the hand that fit on the glove that he could grab a knife and control the knife without getting fingerprints on it. The other thing was that OJ put on those gloves. He’s going to try and make it look like they don’t fit. The police force or some INDEPENDENT authority figure should’ve been in charge of doing that.

Chris Darden knew FULL WELL that having OJ (try to) put the gloves on in font of the Jury would be a DISASTER for the Prosecution!! THAT'S WHY DARDEN DID IT!! Chris Darden should have worn his "Free OJ!!" t shirt to Court every single day of the trial. This all said, Gil Garcetti and Marcia Clark made ALOT of mistakes too. Chris Darden is right about that, but this doesn't excuse Darden's stealth support for OJ Simpson. Everybody on the Prosecution team "f'ed" up, but Darden did his DELIBERATELY.

Ehh I agree with what he said but he wasn't obligated to take on such a case they literally just brought him in to appeal to black jurors..he should have said no to taking the case in the first place and became a defense lawyer screw working for corrupt government officials.

I’m pretty sure he couldn’t say no to his boss. He could have quit tho. In hindsight, he should have.

Even Robert Shapiro admitted that the prosecution lost the case. They weren't ready.

If anything, he effed up the case. Why? He failed the most basic and 101 of law classes: don't ask questions that you don't already know the answers. And don't try an evidence, in this case, the gloves. "If doesn't fit, you MUST acquit". Darden got his sorry butt handed to him by a more seasoned lawyer, Johnnie Cochran 😊
