What happens to this picture when we abandon scientific realism? I suppose the distinction between primary and secondary qualities becomes much more difficultt to draw. Would that inevitably lead one towards idealism?
locke mixed our sensory system with our idea, we get secondary qualities through our sensory system not by our idea and we understand primary ones with our mind ...then idealist are correct, maybe if our mind was different we were understanding primary quality in other way but if our sensory system was different still we understood the primary qualities same maybe we didn't need microscope....
