I had such a busy week only watching the rest of your video today! I thought I’d put your video on whilst I organized but instead I’ve found myself all cosy in bed watching instead 🤣🥰. Just what I needed. 🙏❤️ The matching lamp with the bedding has soo elevated your room. Looks incredible. 🤩👌🏻
Your apartment is looking so cozy! I hope you feel better soon… that back pain sounds awful. I had pleurisy years ago, and the symptoms were similar. It’s so hard not knowing what’s wrong!
Finally someone that agrees with me for the quality of the clothes.....My mom used to be a professional dressmaker. She used to have her studio in the house so I grow up with fabrics, threads and neεdles. I know the diference between cotton, linen , silk and synthetic ....I know if a cloth value the price or not !!! I only wish I had the patience to learn how to sew....
For the artwork over your bed you could try one of those big objects made out of stirng hang on a stick. Hard to explain, some look quite bohonsome more cozy
With the light bulb - don't look at the Watt, you have to look at the lumen. 450 is probably better for reading. And the Kelvin -measure shows the coloring of the lights. For a softer white try to look for 2700-3000 K. if you want it more amber try around 2000K and for more cool white, it's around 5000K for LED-lighting 15W should be enough, maybe even 9W . at least in Europe.
With the dress you might able to add a back piece or two to extended the back for the dress. It was panels and you might away with it. I would add two rectangle pieces with the lining and tulle, make it bigger than you need, you can all always cut it off, add the zippier in the middle these pieces, and will look even, it might look square at the back. But will look gorgeous in December with a jacket. Lots for love from another crafter Australian.
I love your content ♥️ and it‘s beautiful to see how your space becomes personal and inviting. Also love the green lamp and how it goes with the blues 🙂
Hey Rachael, The chest pains and back stiffness from sneezing sounds to me like it could be your rhomboid muscles and obliques (side/ribs) could have spasmed/trigger points in them from sneezing/coughing and general stiffness over time, so if the chest x-ray comes back clear I would highly suggest you go get yourself a sports or remedial massage from a professional. I'm a fully qualified sports, injury, remedial massage therapist and this is classic case of what deep muscle triggers can show up as; if there is nothing else wrong. The other thing I would suggest you do is get yourself some magnesium bath salts and sit in them for at least 20 mins 2-3 times a week as this is also a massive muscle relaxer as well as SO GOOD for recovery and your immunity longterm. I've been a holistic therapist for over 10 years now, so I know what I'm talking about. Take care of yourself xx
You can definitely do blue and green together - it's my favorite color combination! Regarding jewelry storage, maybe you could find something at the Container Store. They have a collection by Stackers that you can configure yourself. They also carry a two-drawer jewelry box by Marie Condo, but it's expensive.
For above the bed I would do a mirror. Especially since you have those other herring pictures on the other wall. I think another picture may be too much.
Does the front of the dress fit properly? If it does, maybe you could just use a ribbon to tie the back closed, like a ballerina's dress. Though, when you close the bottom part, it will be less puffy.
Interestingly, the pain in your back is the same thing I’m having after having the flu and bronchitis about 3 weeks ago. I am still coughing and the doctor gave me an inhaler as well. I woke up one morning with the pain in the upper back around my shoulder blade. It’s getting a bit better but still there. Hope you get answers . 👍🏻👍🏻🌻🌻
Have you checked out the chiropractor?... Sounds alot like when my ribs"go out"...Can be felt in the back, chest and side depending on where the issue is... also sharp pain with deep breaths. Worth a check up.@@rachelleea

Hi, my mum taught me when I was a somewhere around 10-13 and then I took sewing classes in high school which helped and then went on to study fashion. From memory though I don't think it took long to learn the basics from my mum. Its relatively simple to do the basics. Theres a lot of tutorials online. I need to put in a zipper into my dress and I've forgotten some of it so I'm just watching and following UA-cam tutorials to refresh my memory and they're quite easy 🩷
Hope your lungs feel better soon. I have the same knife as you, but I snap the blade off with back slot of the blue thing that detaches from the yellow part [then shake it out into a can or box into garbage..its touchless] That’ll keep your rotary cutter sharp, for fabric. Its none of my business, but I think a narrow horizontal print [i.e. a panorama of nature] would look stunning across the top of your bed. The Chinese triptych has 3 parts, which gives it a busy look. You’re creative, & UA-cam has instructions for making your own panorama [or triptych] pic…. just an inexpensive DIY idea : ))
@@rachelleea I didn't either. (only took me 25 years 😄) You'll notice that the blade is scored at an angle, It will only fit one way in the blue cap. Push the blade out for 1 score, then snap it off for a fresh sharp blade. I toss the snapped bit into an empty water bottle for safe disposal.
Had the same awkward space above bed and I ended up DIYing macrame wall hanging on a wooden dowl. You are crafty too, maybe check it out. :) I found a tutorial on youtube for what I liked and it was actually pretty fun (and fast, unlike diamond painting lol).
You most likely popped a rib, I did it once after sneezing it popped in and out and pinched a nerve.hurt like a mofo. But it’ll heal over time just be careful when sneezing or coughing
@ no, it would only show if you broke your rib. And if you did that you’d most likely have bruising in the area, if it was just a pinched nerve like I had it’s just gonna hurt for a week or two. And it’ll rehurt every time you sneeze, just make sure to not contort your body any odd way while sneezing and just be more gingerly and mindful about your movements until then. You can take some pain relief though like ibuprofen to dull the pain slightly and promote blood flow to the area
Why do you shop so little? And not different dinners etc? I also live alone and buy a lot more than you for a week at a time, fruits, potatoes, meats, rice, pasta, fish, vegetables ,bread, milk++.
I still stand for the idea that if you live alone you might not need two lamps on two bedside tables 🥹 So one could go with a vase and the other one with a lamp, that way it also won't be too much florals if that bothers you ❤
Green and blue is the original natural color combo! Great video!!
Put plants in the bedroom to pull in more green, I love the lamps!
You look so much happier when you have creative projects to work on

I like the colour of your kitchen as it is..
Just get a coat hook that goes over the door sits on the top zero installation zero damage.

I just want to let you know that you have inspired me to make my living space more personal. Thank you❤
The lamps look so pretty. I love the blue and green!

I LOVE Target!! 6:50 i hope your ok Rachel!! 😭
I think you should put a large antique mirror over the bed instead of prints.
I got that lamp too! It's SO GOOD
I love the blue and green together 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Love this vlog. Thanks for just “existing” with us
I love these home project videos. They get motivated to tackle my projects head on and finish them before the end of the year.
Catching up on videos! I just commented on your last video about the two drawer jewelry box I have from Target! 😂😮😊
I think it would look nice for your wood console to be your TV stand and the blue cabinet in your bedroom across from your bed for storage.
That would be nice but unfortunately there’s just not quite enough room between the bed and the wall😩
I love the blue & green together too! My favorite color combination

I LIKE YOUR COLORS.THATS ALSO COLORS THAT I LIKE MYSELF
Grab a hang over the door rack for your coats. Works brilliantly
People who disagree with other's decorating, need to learn to smile and say nothing.
The pain sounds similar to what I have had before and it was a rib popped out of place. Chiropractor took care of it first time
This just reminds me of my granny's place
Aw yay, that makes me happy😊 exactly what I’m trying to go for
I love the new lamps! They look Great in your room! ❤
Love the gold on the lamp
I LIKE YOUR BLUE AND BREEN COMBO
Love lamp and bedding ❤
Thank you 💛💛

That dress is coming nicely! 😊
Paula
I hope you're okay 🌷
I remember there was a gorgeous golden hanger (which I thought was a coat hanger) in your recent thrifting video 😊
Excited for this video! Your apartment is looking so pretty, Rachel 💗
Thank you so much 🤗
The lamps are lovely. 😊
Thank you! 😊

I did see those and yeah they are a bit pricey. Cant justify 140 on a jewellery box right now 🙈

Lovely lamps. Hope you feel better soon. 🤗💐💕

Lovely video.👍🥰
I've followed you since Toronto and love your vlogs!
Fab lamps 😍

Hooks that hang over the door...no screws or damage
Hi Rachel, how did you learn how to sew and how long did it take you?

Battery operated light bulbs so you won’t have the cord showing from the outlet.
What about peel and stick wall paper or tiles. ?? Feel better soon

I’m not sure about the green and blue… 😔
👏👏👏🥰

To be honest the blue may be a better look the green doesn’t match
🧡🧡🧡

Why not ask the building department if you can paint the cabinets
You most likely popped a rib, I did it once after sneezing it popped in and out and pinched a nerve.hurt like a mofo. But it’ll heal over time just be careful when sneezing or coughing
I was thinking that too. I have my appointment tomorrow to see about the xray, I assume that would show on an xray?
@ no, it would only show if you broke your rib. And if you did that you’d most likely have bruising in the area, if it was just a pinched nerve like I had it’s just gonna hurt for a week or two. There are no real do's and don'ts when it comes to design, just personal likes and don't likes
That’s what I’m thinking 💛💛
Not a good idea to leave your purse in the market cart like that.
The person who made the comment about the neutral bedding was 100% right. The plain bed looks so much better with the green lamps!!
yeah but its plain and I dont want it to look like its out of a magazine. I want it to be just stuff I like even if its ugly to everyone else 🩷
Why do you shop so little? And not different dinners etc? I also live alone and buy a lot more than you for a week at a time, fruits, potatoes, meats, rice, pasta, fish, vegetables ,bread, milk++.
I eat very plain and very repetitive. Cheaper and less thought goes into it. Also don’t love cooking so the simpler the better 😊💛
@@rachelleea I would suggest to eat more varied food!
You’re not going to see everything she eats in one or two videos. From what I’ve seen over the years, she eats pretty well. 😌
I still stand for the idea that if you live alone you might not need two lamps on two bedside tables 🥹
So one could go with a vase and the other one with a lamp, that way it also won't be too much florals if that bothers you ❤
Agree! I live alone and have one bedside lamp and a plant on the other bedside table. Love the mismatched look.
