I feel the same way about my 4x4 single cab (in profile pic). I paid $12k for mine back in 2021. They still overpriced as of today but it has always been my dream truck. Only regret I have is how much I paid for it, otherwise it’ll take something major for me to let it go.
@@LLANTALOBOTOMIK I completely disagree. The market for cateyes in 2021 was extremely high (still relatively high today). If you were buying a cateye or (99-06 gm pickup) in that timeframe or shopping around for one. You could not find a clean truck, decent mileage, good body shape/paint for less than 9k. Say what you want about “i could of did this, i could of found one for this price” blah blah blah. The market was high, I bought in a high market is all. Any truck selling for less than 9k (maybe even 8) were typically needing new parts already (front end, engine parts, engine, trans, trans bad, parts going out, etc.) and/or looked terrible (faded or needing paint), tires, body parts) Had I waited until this time right now, yeah I definitely could have bought the same truck for a lot less. You’re telling me if you were looking for a vehicle (when you needed one), you would wait for market value to drop (could take years) or cheap out and get one that needed a lot of work?
I have a 01 10th gen f150 2wd it’s white with a 4.6 and it will stay in the family I bought it from my father in law for 4,000 so it means a lot to my wife because he was a truck driver and recently my father in law had a mini stroke and my wife and her sister went to see him and then he had a major stroke that left him mostly paralyzed he is still able to move his left arm but barely and his speech is improving but the truck means more to our family than ever
Chomper is beautiful. I mean, it SHOULDN’T cost 14k but honestly in my area any cateye Silverado that’s in half way decent shape will go for 10k easily, been that way for years. The 03’-07’ silverados and sierras aged very well, people love them even more these days and will pay a fortune for a good one.
Another great video!! I don’t personally think you overpaid for your trucks just what the market dictates for the time… I paid $38K for my ‘18 F150 2.7 screw 4WD FX4 with 32K miles last summer… L…A…R…R…Y…!!! Is still my absolute favorite 🤩
Love how in depth you are on these type videos man. I sure hope when you went to boaz/Albertville to buy Chomper you ate at Dale’s (Behind the gas station you were getting gas at). I remember when Chomper came up for sale. I was hoping you would get it because it was close to me haha. Keep doing what you are doing man!
I just got an 04 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew with 63k original miles. Always garaged in Florida. No rust! It still smells new. Driven 3,263 per year. I gladly paid $15k. I was just offered $28k. No deal. It took me 3 years of looking to fine it., Nice collection!
i saw a fully loaded yukon at the auction this same body style but 4x4 go for 4500 and i been kickin myself in the teeth ever since for not jumping on it. I had just bought something else though lol
I bought a POS 2006 z71 Silverado crew for $1500. I had to swap motor/Trans and fix all the typical issues (blower resistor, steering column bearing, window regulators etc etc. I sold it April 2022 for $8k. I actually made a little money, was just glad to see it go.
That's pretty close to what I paid for a very similar truck. The only difference with mine is it's white and had 180k on it when I bought it, it's an 05 with tan interior, SLT, Z71, etc. -- got it for $8k almost exactly 1 year ago. It was a steal at the time.
I recently bought my 2011 Silverado LT that only had 97,500 miles on it and was in absolutely perfect condition, but unfortunately this was in peak bad truck prices and the guy wouldn’t go lower than 20 but i couldn’t pass it up, absolutely perfect condition and that low mileage so I bought it the day after Thanksgiving last year
I just bought a late 2007(new body) Chevy 1500 ltz with 219k and almost no rust, brand new cooper discoveries, 4x4, crown club package for 1,000 two weeks ago. The only catch is that it has a bad cam. Got me the 500 dollar afm delete from AMS racing and put it in. Got a 8,000 dollar truck for a 1/8th of its value in todays current market.
Just a heads up my Silverado has the same door panel issue .... apparently very common.... I've searched for a new door pull and they only sell the whole door panel not just the pull .... hope this helps ..... keep up the great work!!!!!!
Chomper is gonna outlast all of them. It’s an icon for GM Built trucks. Although 8.1L 2500HD Crew Cab or Duramax Diesel are the puppies that are gonna be the real price fetchers one day.
I got a 2003 heritage editon 70k miles on it just a little over a year ago today for 5k and i love that thing need to do some rust work living in the rust belt but man i love it and Larry is what i strive for
I gave 10,500 for my 07 Sierra classic in 2020, and probably dumped 7k in wheels/tires, coilover conversion, seats etc. Im probably hanging on to it forever
I paid 2500 for my 2008 ford f150 with the 5.4 nothing wrong with it no rust no dents or anything no check engine light it's a really good truck it has 300k miles on it same engine and transmission it's probably going to stay in the family for sure it's smooth bailey even feel the bumps on the roads I love it but dang 13k for Chomper for a 2006 my f150 is a 2008 and I only payed 2500 for it sheesh that's Alot
The black GMC Sierra truck you have My dream truck in that body style/ year and because it is 4 wheel drive, full console, heated seats, and steering wheel controls.
I got a 10th gen step side red in color all it needs is a accumulator spring and it's sitting and getting beat up by the weather I hate seeing it like that it's got 6 inches of lift 35s 17s 6 month old true dual straights with cats I put a 03 lariat interior in it and a 03 expedition center console I love this thing I have so much time and memories with it it has 204k miles and sadly it's FOR SALE if anyone wants it I wanted to fix first but just can't find time
What kind of truck would you recommend? I never owned a truck, don’t really know much about them. Been watching vids recently to learn more. One thing i’m worried about it getting a truck with high mileage, but I know trucks can run on high mileage no problem. Another thing is finding something that’ll actually run, will use to hotshot.
I own chomps twin basically minus the leather interior and paid 12k for it at 159k 🤦♂️ for the market it wasn't terrible but I remember when it would have been a 9k truck
Heck, bro! $43 for the 21 XL, used? I bought my 2018, crew, FX4, chrome package, trailer package, 302a luxury package, 5.0, brand new, out the door, for just under $36k 😎 still got it but the first 10r80 was a lemon from day one and replaced nov 22 just before the powertrain expired 😬 sticker for my 2018 was $54k
Bought a 19 f150 stx 2.7 with 36k for 33k 6 months ago.. Sold my 04 tundra 2wd cc with 190k on it for 11.5k 6 months ago. Paid 11.5k for it 7 years before that when it only had 97k..
Honestly the Sierra is the best truck sitting there. As far as over paying, I'd say yes, and no, those generation trucks are going to continue to rise in price. 99-06 Chevy/GMC trucks were the LAST really solid trucks. Don't sell that truck.
I like the rims and tires the red truck has on it I have a truck just like it but mines a 2001 reg cab I have been trying to find 5 lug rims but haven't been able to
That red truck originally on 37” tires? This is a looooooooong shot but you drove to Georgia to pick it up. What part of GA? So my brother had this same truck I believe same color and I think it had 37” tires on it when he was around 16yrs old. He unfortunately wrecked the truck on the driver side causing frame damage. Now I have no idea what happened to the truck after that if my parents fixed it/sold it or at that time we used to have family and friends who owned a towing business and they may have just let the truck go at a auction there. If this happens to be the same truck, which has to be a long shot someone obviously bought it before it ended up in your hands. So I know crazy long shot but when you said GA I figured I’d ask. That truck could’ve been sold to the next owner who is no where near us but thought I’d ask. Maybe my parents would still have a picture or vin number somewhere like that. It definitely did not have the led bar on the front at that time.
i was guessin around 9500 for chomper but man was i wrong! thats a keeper for sure. Would you put a sunroof in it? I know a buddy selling the cat eye version of this truck for 2500 rn but its rusted out pretty baaad but still drives
I had someone pull out infront of me and I slammed on my brakes… didn’t hit the guy. My brake pedal went to the floor and I intently knew I blew a line. Limped it to a shop with no brakes and they found the other lines were just as bad. On top of this they found a spot where a previous owner rigged a fix. Drum rolll please………. $1100 at my trusted mechanic. So yeah I dumped $1100 into a 2006 Tahoe I bought for $4,000 with 220,000 miles

Gotta love how ol Larry has developed over the years. I might just be an og tho
I think it’s ironic lifting the 2wd trucks and not the 4wd ones 😂. It is a nice collection though. Keep up the good work!
Love your content man, you go super in depth in your videos mainly in the installing the mods that you get and that is what makes your content so good
The collection is great man! I love seeing the progress too
You have to keep Larry I love the 10th gen content. Makes me want to hurry up and get mine back on the road!
He needs to have a 11th gen again all clapped out but 4x4!

im sorry but only $5k for big Betty?!?! Thats how much i paid for my 97' silverado :( you got a hell of a steal on that one! good job

@@STREETRACEN4ULive in Ohio and I am looking for an early 2000’s truck. What auctions do you use to find vehicles?
Dang 14k for chomper these go for 5-8k in Texas

I honestly was surprised about chomper and big Betty
I would’ve guessed you paid $8500 for chomper but holy!
I'm honestly shocked at what he paid for the others. Where I live sellers will walk if you have a reasonable offer.
That's pretty close to what I paid for a very similar truck. The only difference with mine is it's white and had 180k on it when I bought it, it's an 05 with tan interior, SLT, Z71, etc. -- got it for $8k almost exactly 1 year ago. It was a steal at the time.
He’s honest, that’s hard to come by on here
Escalade taillights would look sick on the Tahoe….like Ryan Mayer’s old red Tahoe he built few years ago

Lol funny it’s like at the end when everybody leaves the party but that one guy that stays for it all 🤣🤣

Love the transparency
You need to do another seat cover video for the new f-150
I paid 22k for my f150 crew cab 2.7 ecoboost 2020 xlt with STX package with 33k miles on it 3 weeks ago. I think it was a great price.
Some factory seat cover replacement videos would be nice 😮

My favorite trucks Chomper and Larry 💯💯💯
The black GMC Sierra truck you have My dream truck in that body style/ year and because it is 4 wheel drive, full console, heated seats, and steering wheel controls.
gotta paint match the fender flares on chomper and get some nice wides and 37s for larry
I’m new to the channel. But I think to set it apart you should try to do a widebody on the f-150 🤷♂️
I know it would be expensive but why not do some goodies on Larry? CAI adapter to the fender, some cams etc..?
Big Betty and Chomper are the best hands 🙌 down
Larry would look good with the side window deflectors off the red truck 👍🏽

Chomper is my fave!!!!
All them vehicles and Larry still the cleanest
Wow good deal on the Tahoe
I paid 10,000 for my 05 silverado with 220k miles, three yrs ago.
I sold a crew cab 06 with 178k for 15500 during covid you didn’t do horrible on chomper. It’s on the high end for sure but not that bad
both of those prices are definitely high wouldnt pay over 12 for one
Is it me or is Larry, the cheapest, the nicest truck in the bunch??
Could you link the headlights you put on Larry?
That red f-150 in the video used to mine😂🤣
Not to bad for chomper I just sold my 2006 Silverado with 146k for the same price 14k
God I thought my buddy got hosed buying his at 6k for a 05 z71 with 140k. That was 2021 though so makes a little sense.
