I’m so glad he brought this up 😭 I remember when iluna first came out everyone was like “welcome to the harem” or “oh a new man for uki”…it probably made uki really uncomfortable and put a lot of pressure on his collabs to flirt with them :/ just let them be comfortable and have their own dynamic and if a flirty atmosphere naturally develops then nice!
I see people doing it to Indies too! They spot an indie guy who resembles someone from the harem in some tiny way (ie, being purple 💀) and pester them about when they will join the harem like brooo
I respect Uki so much for this. “Harem” is a very risky joke, not everybody will be comfortable with it, so people shouldn’t say it about every man Uki interacts with, it will make people uncomfortable and scare them away. The fact that he had to say twice may mean that it already backfired, as well as that some people didn’t get the message on the first try
I thought I was the only one that kinda weirds out when people keeps insisting Uki to add people on his harem like wtf? Are you guys the Uki Violeta now? Like chill bro, things should be in moderation and ILUNA is still new. Have some tact.
I don't think they were like upfront insisting, it's more like they keep making comments like "+1 to the harem" or "another one huh uki" it's something along the lines. It doesn't sound thah insisting but I'm sure it puts pressure on Uki nonetheless. It's like they're inderectly the one who wants uki adding everyone into the harem
gosh Im so glad he said this.. its not like he wants to add them or anything but people just keep bringing it up when uki himself didnt say anything that led towards that harem thing.. ofc he would feel uncomfortable especially the people he's collabing with.. and Im honestly so sooo mad with the Nina and Kyo case im sorry for saying this.. Kyo was sooo fxckin uncomfortable after that goshhhh
Not to mention if this happens everytime he even exhales a compliment towards another male liver, he may have to tone down his own interactions henceforth with some of them if THEY themselves are uncomfortable with the "another one added to Uki's harem" comments.
Yeah please respect all the streamers. I think it's ok to have some imagination and expectation, but please just leave it yourself instead of going public, that not only could put pressure on them but also might ruin their relationship. Just let them comfortably interact with each other and see how the dynamics develop, isn't that also interesting? :) Things will happen if they're meant to be. Fans' behavior sort of representing/reflecting their idol in a way, so please don't do unwanted things to your oshi and their fellow streamers.
Ppl always enjoy themselves by forcing uki and other streamers that Uki interact to do sth to satisfy them, its not first time to know that those fanbase ppl are extremely selfish and toxic Thats why I hate getting along with those fanbases
It’s frankly quite disrespectful. Uki was very nonchalant about it even in this clip, but let’s be real, such behavior sexualizes both Uki and the other person. It automatically interprets any interaction in a sexual and/or romantic light. And tbh I think in the long run that could be very very harmful for Uki. He’s open about being gay, but if his fans construct any and all interactions with other male talents in a suggestive way, that contributes to the harmful stereotype that gay men are hypersexual and even predatory. This may sound like a reach, but not every culture is completely accepting of homosexuality and it could very well lead to negative consequences for Uki himself if interactions with talents from Japan for example get twisted in such a way. This is an extreme example, but with how Vtuber fans have behaved in the past, it’s certainly not an unrealistic scenario. I hope that fans will keep in mind that their behavior reflects on their streamer, so they should think twice about how they act on social media.
I try to just ignore all harem implications now. Far as I'm concerned...his harem is only the people involved in that one Valo collab with Shoto, Bonni, Suha, and Fulgur. Unless he says anyone else is actually in it, that is.

For real! The harem thing is a joke. And we shouldn't bring it until HE does.

May we respect and support the wishes/Grants of Uki’s and everyone else too. ❤️
The fact that people don't stop after numerous warnings is sickening to me. The least they could do is obey the livers wishes

Finally he adressed this! I’m so happy!
Yep!
Let them interact comfortably guys
Thank you for clipping important messages. It helps bring awareness into the community about livers’ feelings towards something
THANK YOU FOR THE CLIP

Well said. Every time I see NijiEN ppl have some kind of serious talk, I feel like they say it really well!
