Honestly I think it's the best feeling new mx vs atv also it has a skill gap in scrubs whips tuning braking cluch and preload I actually kinda like it as a arcade
@@shaneWARs1 true, but still too slippery...before the patch. (I'm don't have it yet as I'm on Xbox, but that came out so fast. I'm impressed!). If you buy the OEM bikes you can simply unlock the different tunings for the 450 and the 250 2-stroke first. So, it doesn't take that long honestly. I agree that it's feel, outside of the sliding pre patch, and the fact that you HAVE to shift with the thumb sticks (they'll fix that issue too), is pretty good with the potential to be the best since reflex. There are still issues on the XBOX that kinda ruin the experience for me. Such as the huge rendering problems in 1st person and the thumb stick shifting. But, as seen in All Out, and the fact that they already did a patch!!!! (That's amazing that quickly), we know that they'll take care of those problems sooner than later. Honestly, I truly believe that by the end of this year most who stick with this game, will list it as the 2nd best MX vs ATV ever. Some may even end up liking it better than Reflex. And, though that sounds like a lot of time to fix everything, Spence himself said a holiday release would have been much better. So, I just consider this release to be Rainbow/THQ giving everyone access to the Beta. As in, they WANT the community feedback. This is sooo much better than what most large developers and studios do.
I absolutely did not expect this video to go this way. I thought Spencer was gonna dog on it so hard, not actually enjoy it. I've played about 8 hours and I've been having a blast dude. It's super fun once you get used to it, get fast and get a flow going.
I just started this video, I'm at the 1 minute mark now... And paused to comment lol. But, I was surprised to see this comment as I was somewhat expecting the same thing. However, for some reason I felt like, if he's being honest, he'd come to the same conclusion as I have, and I'm guessing as you have. So, before watching I'm going to guess that he's going to stay that the game is fun for where it is, though there are some huge issues such as the grip, the shifting maybe?, the customization, the bike sounds, possibly the rendering on MX tracks in first person view...depending on which version he has. But, he's also going to agree that the game, at it's core design is a great starting point. That ALL of those issues will most likely be corrected as they did so with All Out. And, that the game has tons of potential and is still fun at the moment. And, though I would word a review by saying that this is basically a beta version released to us. One that they want they community feedback on. And, that they're showing that BIG TIME with the first patch already. We're basically getting this in development so they can change and tweak which, to me, is a great thing. In doing that, this game will be on point by the end of the year...I'm guessing he'll try to double down on his opinion that, while it'll still get there, they should have waited until December to release lol. However, we'd both be saying the same thing in different ways. 🤣🤣. I'm checking back after the video to see how close I got it.
Ok. That was not what I was expecting at all. I don't think that Spence is seeing the potential of what it WILL be vs what it IS currently. They're already making the cornering more technical after a couple of days. This is going to just continue to get better.
I waited a long time for Legends and I'm really disappointed, it's so much worse than Reflex or Untamed. The physics are not good and there are a lot of bugs... It needs to be corrected, it looks like an All Out 2 but not as good! Seriously, 2005's Unleashed was way better than Legends!!
If they would make suspension work more instead of bouncing around on a old bike with no suspension. Also if they would eliminate the sliding. I would probably purchase this if those were different. Rest of the game looks great
Game need a suspension over haul, race bikes suspension is north of $20,000. The suspension in this game feels bad, feels like you're riding on two pogo sticks, not finely tuned valves and springs. The sliding is pretty bad too, it affects the lines you want to take negatively too much. I don't want to be cucked into hitting every big send or triple squared up. Rider is too stiff too. Rider needs to have reactions to your stick movement and bike movement. Edit: I'd like to actually feel the snappy power of a 450, not bog out and lose power on every moderate hill or triple jump face. Sound is bad too. Bike sounds seem like they were recorded directly from a TV speaker during gate drops for each class. I imagine the developers holding an old reordering device up to a speaker while watching old races on UA-cam and called it good
I don't agree about the roughness, try any of the custom nationals or the ama ones, bunch of ruts, braking bumps, with a soft suspension and moderate traction, you really need to be careful on the throttle an hit those ruts to have clean laps.

I'm interested in how this opinion changes with the first patch. From what I understand it's not as slippery and the terrain deformation now grips you if you use them in a realistic way. Such as correctly slowing down and gassing at the apex. This can be amazing if they keep it up.

If you don't want to slip as much please go to settings and make sure it's setup as dual sticks. I'm on xbox and if I just use the left stick to turn its just grip no slip and the more you use the right stick to lean the more it slips. So I pretty much use the left stick and some times a little right stick to turn tighter also if turning tighter remember throttle control. If you hold it it wide open with the right stick it will slide like mad.
I love how about a month ago, there was no info, no decent screen shots, no trailer, no gamplay, no official release date.... then it was just here it is... game's out. Looks a lot more grounded in reality than some previous entries. All Out was like having a rocket on your bike, and was much more of a pinball game than a dirt bike game. This one looks a bit more realistically paced, but also basic and with like stock level animation which gives it that mobile game feel?
You complimenting this game was not in my bingo. That being said, bought it even though I'm not even sure it runs in my computer, and haven't had time to play it yet because of work... the videos of the game do remind me heavily of Descenders, the mountain bike game, though - actually as I wrote that you said it feels like a mountain bike. It looks like All Out + Descenders with a touch of Reflex. Curious to play it later. The price is really good too, first game I buy at release in a few years.
Man the game isn’t bad at all it’s TECHNICAL, which means you have to let off the gas from time to time there like idk real life 😂 also maxing out tuning isn’t always good either finding the right tune and setup changes the way the bike moves on the track. Whip physics always needs help in these games for some reason other than that and the lagging it’s pretty sick especially in first person camera.
I wanted to like it so bad but it feels like they shouldn’t have put the game out yet and spent more time on the physics. The bikes feel like riding a Vespa
TBH I think this game is awesome. It looks great and feels great. It offers something new while also giving me the feeling of nostalgia of trials fusion and the old school MX VS ATV games
There’s literally a setting to turn the sliding completely off….. incase anybody didn’t know…… press start.. go to gameplay settings and change the stick controls to dual stick…. It turns the sliding completely off and puts lean and slide on the right stick only…. You’re welcome.
Been playing career nonstop lol got past the first fan gate and finally on 250s I play on pro difficulty and man it’s fun battling the bots and even done some online races and I even like the practice track on the compound
I left a negative comment earlier about this game. I deleted that comment since....I'm starting to enjoy it and let me tell you why...two words >> First Person. I couldn't win anything until I switched views. Once I switched to first person everything changed. Fun level went through the roof. I spend $60 on it so I was bummed but the more I play it the more I'm ok with my purchase.
I was excited for this game but after playing it I got more excited to see Spencer's review lol Edit: Im surprised you didn't hate it but glad some people are having fun with it.
I refuse to buy any of these games until they can replicate reflex physics, you hit it on the nail when you said mobile mx game. Physics look like a game you would play at dave and busters, surprised they didnt add a nitrous boost launch button
I’m sticking to All-Out, as far as new MX vs MTV games go. I wish they would stop trying new things and stick with what works, there are some great things about this game but the baddest of the bad aspects just ruin it for me.
If you’re gna compare games and take glitchy graphic bugs into consideration don’t compare it to a 3 month game that’s been pumped with some updates in it. Maybe do a 3 month review and compare them😂
If the AI on GOAT difficulty wasn’t complete trash maybe this game would be better but it’s still missing a ton of settings overall tho I enjoy playing it in first person online.
I don’t see anyone talking about this but the Xbox version is so broken. Jumps loading in in front of you, laggy start menus, the transmission switches from automatic to manual mid race, some races I’ll be started in 5th gear before the gate drops and unable to down shift, the time trials on a couple of the national tracks just flat out don’t work, in some tracks it almost feels like your on moon gravity where you’ll barely case a jump and it’ll launch you across the track. I see everyone saying just wait for a patch but in my honest opinion this feels like a demo compared to what we’ve had in the past. This game has good bones I’m just not willing to wait 4 years for it to be good.
I can’t find myself having fun in this game. Slow and shit ground physics… can’t seem to ever move in a straight line. Then in air it’s like an uncontrollable helicopter. Kinda terrible if you ask me. All out was a waste of money too
For a game where gameplay is really good, i really think they went lazy k the whole customization stuff and i dont like the fact that they dont add more stuff in it like pitbikes and sich wich actuall races/competitions just like they did in unleashed No customization on the bikes, just recoloring.... just a few helms you can buy.. just a few bikes.. just few goggles. Gloves etcetc..
How come the AI is so bad in this game? I'm on the hardest difficulty with zero machine upgrades and im still finishing 30 seconds before 2nd placer. Racing by myself is boring
The game is really just bad!!! Graphically from the routes it is good. and a good change from the MXGP game. But the rest is just plain bad! I don't understand how the developers don't listen to the players that MXvsATV Reflex was the best game in the series. And builds on that!!! My wish for the future would be that both game developers would work together and develop "The Motocross" game for us!!!
There must be so many bots in this comment section. It's the worst game I've ever played. There are glitches all over the track, the warm up lap often flashes on the screen that you're 'off track' when you're not, the bike bounces everywhere, there's no choice of lobby online, nor choice of track or lap duration when you play online. It's the least polished mx game in history, and its embarrassing that it was released without further work.
It’s not worth 30 dollars. The game’s physics are absolute trash. This game is awful. It feels like you are riding a slick tire zero suspension Harley around the track. The game is not fun. I played it for 5 hours and I would return it and get my money back if I could. TRASH GAME.
Put your suspension on the softer side and get use the max traction tyre it makes a huge difference. You can’t power through corners all the time especially if it’s a flat surface and you’re fully leaning. If you come into a corner slower and power out it’s faster than being full throttle around a sharp corner cause you will slide. Don’t get me wrong the physics aren’t my favourite but if you play to how they work it makes the game a lot more enjoyable. Also holding down on the left stick a little and not leaning a heap makes the big difference to cornering I can rail corners and ruts pretty easily without sliding. Sliding in this game is definitely unrealistic like as soon as you lose traction back wheel starting to spin which is realistic but the front wheel starts to slide like it’s on ice. If they made so the front doesn’t lose traction but the back wheel spins and the bike starts to rotate when you’re full throttle around a flat sharp corner it would make it a lot more enjoyable to play.
I’m a reflex player, I’ll even play alive. This game is trash. Ive played with all of the bike settings trying to make the physics better. The game is easy as hell, it’s just bad.
Highly disappointed after 30% off at GreeManGaming. Supercross 5 and MXGP far better then this. We need to mod the Bikes and Physics and AI from Supercross into these map's.

Its kinda lame how new games need updates right after release. Id rather have a finished game every 5 years that costs 60$ thats fully finished instead of this dlc pay to play crap thats not even finished
With some patches to fix the issues and bugs the game has I think the game has the ability to be amazing!
Yea tbh he just hating because they didn't give him early access to the game
Corner physics look so terrible holy crap same ole boring in air physics too I don’t get it they had it right in 2009
I also just moved to auto transmission Bc the sounds weren’t matching
I have seen other people playing the game! I have been waiting feels like a week on yours. Love the content and keeping it real👍
They made better games over a decade ago though😅
Spencer is my favorite rider on planet earth!
I wanted to like it so bad but it feels like they shouldn’t have put the game out yet and spent more time on the physics. The bikes feel like riding a Vespa
My experience is the game is glitchy and the sound screws up sometimes bad i have to close the game out and restart on ps4
this vid popped off. good job man.
Ever played the first jeremy mcgrath game on the ps1 where u get a boost when wheeling? Its in this game learn back and the bike gains 50bhp
Bikes slide all over the place, the bike seems to float in jumps and goes into slow motion if you try a whip😅
This game is honestly super fun. A lot of people just need to accept that Reflex is in the past
It’s actually astonishing how awful the 4 strokes sound.
I enjoy Legends. I have been racing Nationals online. Baddass tracks and some fast mofos on there.
I'm having a blast despite some bugs. Series X looks fantastic and runs smooth.
The turning physics almost feel like descenders
I was disappointed in how slow the AI were though
Miss the older mxvsatv games that really gave you a run for your money
On console the base game is 40 bucks
I’m sticking to All-Out, as far as new MX vs MTV games go. I wish they would stop trying new things and stick with what works, there are some great things about this game but the baddest of the bad aspects just ruin it for me.
All out sucked
@@Brbrnskhgf5666 maybe you just weren’t that good at it
If you’re gna compare games and take glitchy graphic bugs into consideration don’t compare it to a 3 month game that’s been pumped with some updates in it. Maybe do a 3 month review and compare them😂
i wish there can be physics similar to reflex
if they made whips better and the sliding better this game would be sick
If the AI on GOAT difficulty wasn’t complete trash maybe this game would be better but it’s still missing a ton of settings overall tho I enjoy playing it in first person online.
Looks good. Easy to drive it? I hate racing games where u can’t stay in the lane
The UTV straight rhythm blows!!! I do like the for the mx parts
It’s probably your ps4 and your 100 mbps connection 🤣
@@DirtySpriteDingo my ps4… bro can’t read
I am loving it
Since the patch ….. WOW THE GAME IS AMAZING
thats actually a really good explanation lol
Everything looks great is just that sliding in the cornering it looks like you’re drifting in a car game I hope it feels good tho
I can’t find myself having fun in this game. Slow and shit ground physics… can’t seem to ever move in a straight line. Then in air it’s like an uncontrollable helicopter. Kinda terrible if you ask me. All out was a waste of money too
For a game where gameplay is really good, i really think they went lazy k the whole customization stuff and i dont like the fact that they dont add more stuff in it like pitbikes and sich wich actuall races/competitions
just like they did in unleashed
No customization on the bikes, just recoloring.... just a few helms you can buy.. just a few bikes.. just few goggles. Gloves etcetc..
the sliding reminds me of mario kart drifting
How come the AI is so bad in this game? I'm on the hardest difficulty with zero machine upgrades and im still finishing 30 seconds before 2nd placer. Racing by myself is boring
The game looks pretty good, surprised me
The game is really just bad!!!
Take a shot every time he says “arcadey”
First person is where it’s at with this game. Completely different game to 3rd person
The MX Bikes are okay with tuning, the ATVs are absolutely horrendous.
It’s 40 solid on ps store it’s not even close to 60 btw bum
There must be so many bots in this comment section. It's the worst game I've ever played. There are glitches all over the track, the warm up lap often flashes on the screen that you're 'off track' when you're not, the bike bounces everywhere, there's no choice of lobby online, nor choice of track or lap duration when you play online. It's the least polished mx game in history, and its embarrassing that it was released without further work.
I think with a few updates it can get to "great"
30 laps on Orlando
5 laps in and instead of ruts, there's TRENCHES
atv offroad fury vibes dude
Dude the whips are not the same at all you are buggin
New update looks great
It’s not worth 30 dollars.
The first super cross game actually had decent cornering. This is just awful
legends is gross, u slide around and bounce all over the place, can’t even get a good line without sliding over the whole track or flying off of it
Are we gonna talk about how skinny the rider is it bugs me the bike bike is really wide to
I’m actually loving this game so far. Besides the landing slightly sideways and the bike popping up all weird, its great.
if you upgrade to ps plus premium they give you 2 hours to try a game. I'm glad I didn't buy Legends
