Unironically my favorite of the three DLC weapons. The sound effects in particular are so satifying. My only major issue with the Whip is that the game automatically assumes you want to do a Fatal Strike after successfully performing a deflect that depletes the enemy's spirit, even if you are already holding down L1 and want to go into Frenzy Mode so that you can do some big damage to the enemy before doing the Fatal Strike. You have to kind of wait a bit after the deflect and then go into Frenzy Mode. Unless there's tech I'm missing that allows you to bypass this pause and immediately go into Frenzy Mode after a deflect that leads to a Fatal Strike opportunity.
The issue is the mode switching requires you to "Actually Guarding + Strong Attack", but not simply "L1 + strong" like what we used to in Nioh. I believe some of the MA like Zifu's Aria can be quickly cancel to a guard, which can activate a mode switch then.
So fast, so much range and deals considerable amount of DPS and this is before frenzy mode - 10/10
I love the fatal strike animation so much ! It's like you swing a kusarigama 😂
Crazy that the meteor hammer is a part of the whip weapon type, but I dig the moveset.

the attack animations looks so goood as always. I just wish the movements ones transition better into each other.

Does frenzy mode mean you cannot spirit or martial attack once you are -1000? What about normal attack chains can you still do those?
normal/spirit attack still work at -1000, just not for martial arts and wizardry.

I cannot describe how utterly ridiculous Nuijao's Watch is. It can "parry" any non-red attack in the game, and the "parry" animation itself has a monumental amount of s on top of dishing out huge damage. Any annoying boss multihit move just gives you an opportunity to slap several thousand damage on them. And it has a very low recovery, so you can combo it with something like Zhaojun's Departure to just quickly get away while dishing additional damage. It's easily in top 3 of all martial arts in the game.
