I’m skeptical about getting permanent power from the video wire. Did you end up doing it that way? Does it really work? Here are my doubts: the video signal is not a DC and it’s not 12V al the time.
So how is it working? The camera will be off the center of the bumper so I wonder how the reverse lines line up properly? I drilled a small hole like you in the bumper just above the center of the license plate so the camera is centered!
@@HowToHeaven how did you get the cable wires around the engine and around the convertible top storage to the side and then once into the cabin, in passed the seats to the double din unit??
@@samosasnmimosas2055 Sorry, I don't have the car anymore, however, I went around the driver's side with the wire, lifted the top into the service position (1/2 way up) and ran the cables along the driver's side under the sill/threshold. It was pretty standard as in every car is about the same. The trick was to use a Long Wire tie and electrical tape your wires to it an send the wire tie through any holes or path that is hard to reach. Hope this helps!
Very useful and clear video, de wiring tip for the reverse and the permaznent current to the camera is a very intelligent solution
Thank you, I appreciate your viewing my videos.

Too late! Sometimes you just have to do it and it will fall together. Thanks for watching

Were these CANBUS compatible?
