That was Nickelodeon's highest rated broadcast! And this video was recorded during Disney Channel's highest rated broadcast! I was at least there at that time and in retrospect changed everything for Disney Channel! They started the trend with making musical movies that aired during the summer (Camp Rock 1&2, Teen Beach Movie 1&2, which made fun of summer musical movies, Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension, Cheetah Girls One World, tho you could argue they already did that the previous movie, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, Let It Shine, the Descendants Trilogy and just last year with Zombies 3! In retrospect, this night was a huge deal beyond just High School Musical as they premiered Phineas and Ferb which would go on to be arguably the most defining Disney Channel cartoon next to Kim Possible and Gravity Falls! Looking at all these promos wasn't just a blast from the past but a great reminder of how far all of these projects have come since this date!
