La Haine, City or Gods, chocolate, Ong bak, District 9, District 13, Taxi, The Raid, 13 assassins, Battle Royale….so many classic films. When u don’t have Hollywood budgets scripts and story boards have to be at a high level just to get any funding.
Even films like Town called panic made me laugh so hard and I just feel the pro from not getting Hollywood budgets is the film makers don’t have the pressure and meddling them budgets bring. It allows real innovation, risk taking and some batshit crazy ideas 😂
