- Jack Karlson, Australia's beloved Succulent Chinese Meal man, has died at the age of 82.
Karlson shot to fame on the back of an infamous 1991 arrest, footage of which captured him giving an eloquent diatribe including now-iconic phrases as "what is the charge, eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?" and "this is Democracy Manifest."
10 News First interviewed the man behind the meme just last month, reuniting him with the site of his famous legal run-in, where he was able to finally finish his Chinese meal of lore.
