They both had an insane season man, two legendary players but Travis making an impact on both sides of the ball you have to give him the Heisman. All respect to Jeanty he’s a great running back and they both will do big things in the league.

See my reply to this comment for the TLTR with all Jeanty’s most amazing stats, I’ll just highlight this one here:
Jeanty’s overall PFF grade of 95.3 was higher than EVERY other heisman winner in the PFF era (2014-Present)
That is a better grade than Devonte Smith’s 2020 year (94.9), and Joe Burrow’s 2019 season (95.0), considered by many to be the best QB and WR seasons ever.
If you know anything about how PPR grades work, overall RB grades are generally among the lowest because their blocking takes a much higher weight and brings down their aggregate less than WR and QBs, making it even more amazing he beat them out. Jeanty’s rushing grade was 97.5, which alone would be by far the best of any player in the PFF era.

      ASHTON JEANTY:
      - 97.5 PFF rushing grade (Best in PFF era, previous record: Blake Corum at 96.2)
      - 95.2 overall PFF grade (Better than EVERY heisman winner in the PFF Era. Previous record: Joe Burrow, at 95)
      - 1st yards (By over 800 yards). He would rank 19 in rush yards among FBS schools, outrushing 115 of them by himself
      - 1st TDs
      - 6th at 7.3 YPC (No players above him had close to half his carries)
      - 1882 yards or 5.5 ypc AFTER CONTACT (Best in PFF era, previous record, 1355, Jonathan Taylor. Melvin Gordon, in his 2597 yard season, had only 800-1000 yards after contact). His yards after contact is more than ANY player has had total rush yards since 2019
      - 143 broken tackles (Best in PFF era, previous record, 104, Bijon Robinson)
      - Had more 20+ yard runs (24) than rushes for loss (23)
      - Ran for 100 yards or more in 17 of the 24 HALVES he played (Including 2 where he sat most of the quarter with an injury)
      - Ran for at least 125 yards in every game, not done since 1996, and 150+ yards in all but 2 games (1 of which he didn’t play 1 snap the second half, the other he missed part with an injury)
      - Had 12 TDs of 50-yards or longer. The next highest TEAM had 7.
      - 266 of his 344 (77%) of his carries came against a 7+ man box
So basically, not only was he #1 in every metric for a rusher this year, he also shattered the previous records for all the most important advanced metrics tracked by PPR for a rusher. In addition:
-Led his team, who was 8-6 when he had 1900 total yards and 20TDs a year ago, to 12-1 record, only loss by a field goal vs. #1 team on the road, and a bye in the CFP
      - Boise trailed in 4 4th quarters this season. He scored a go-ahead or tying touchdown in 3 of the 4 4th quarters. In the one other game vs. Wyoming, he came back from injury with 9 minutes left, had carries of 15, 20, and 15 yards, then a 3 yard carry to the one yard line, and his back-up scored the 1-yard score.

Hate that you have to choose between 2 legendary seasons, but Travis deserved it
