Major 24/25 FAFSA Update!

Big announcement just came out last from the government regarding the 24/25 FAFSA regarding when it's getting released and when financial aid offices will start putting together financial aid packages.
The FAFSA will be released by December 31st 2023 and college financial aid offices won't start processing them until late January 2024!

I heard somewhere that next year the parent who uses their income on the fafsa needs to claim the child on their taxes. Is this true? My ex and i trade years so wondering if it matters. Thanks.

When i as a parent aprove the download, will I see the information that was downloaded? can I double check what is being sent? and what I am inputting in the fafsa?

Hi Tina I am starting the Fasfa form. I have to the part where they want irs returns otherwise no aid. With that said should I just not fill it out.

Hello, I am panicking here . I just helped my son fill out the FASFA Form but I think we made a mistake because when we submitted it we got a message stating that since you are not providing your parents information you are only eligible for unsubsidized loans . We didn’t have this problem this year . How can I fix it

You have to wait about 5 days in order to make the corrections. There is a question that is worded very wieid make sure you answer NO to this question
