@@Davidp5473 It is a product worth buying although he is right more than likely you will not get the name plates and for me I don't have his little loading platform but I do have the crate But even if it doesn't have any of those things as long as you got the remote and cranky you got cranky that works
@@ItsTrainBoy I’m about to watch the video, but if you don’t have some side rods for him. I suggest trying some Edward side rods they seem like a good fit on palate but I don’t have an Oliver or an Edward to test it out

Ayy nice job Lance, glad i'm not the only one who can restore a messed up Oliver, he looks super good! i sorta did the same with the front wheels and then the middle wheels. (since they were ripped off and messed up) i cut away that and used two of edward's small bogie wheels and just flipped them backwards. he runs just fine actually. only issue is that the wheels are glue to the motor if i recall.
I remember have that Set Featuring that Awesome Giant Cranky Model and I still Have it Today!!☺️☺️😊😊

I have this cranky and it was one of my most played with toys!
I was never able to get this set, so you can bet how envious I feel. The closest I got was the Take Along Cranky that substituted his hook with a magnet to pick up magnetic drums (barrels) and would operate through a windup feature on the side of his head. It was hilarious tying it around my Tomy trains only for him to fall from the weight. Good days

fun story of mine about this, one time my mom was doing laundry so she took the laundry downstairs. since it was almost pitch black she couldnt really see, suddenly she heard cranky say something to her and she SCREAMED and ran up the stairs thinking there was some random dude in our basement lol
I had that RC cranky as a kid, and I loved that thing! One of the best merch of trackmaster ever.
Unfortunately, it sat in storage in pieces, and was basically unrecoverable when we shifted house. I fear that he’s either still in the cubby house or got burnt by new owners…
That Trackmaster R/C Cranky is cool, it’s one of the best Trackmaster Crankys and I saw a dark green RWS livery Tomy Oliver custom in the video.

The RC Cranky looked amazing, and it is really fascinating. He is really huge compared to the trackmaster engines, and I have not seen a single user right beside a Bachman large scale model beside Cranky and if someone did then it would be the closest scale they got Overall, RC cranky from the Cranky and Flynn set is absolute profession That cranky is perfect for close up shots as I seen some UA-cam users did.
That Cranky has so much nostalgia for me, i've had it since a kid unfortunately it is broken
I actually have this same Cranky toy, however it’s in my garage waiting for restoration as I plan to reuse it for g scale filming with my homemade custom gauge 1 Thomas engines.

Mod since now: the cranky i have is still in my grandma’s house with all my other stuff, and he was love at first Christmas 4 am, sadly sometimes he works fine and others he can’t turn around completely, and there is the crrckrrrrrkrkrk from the old trakmaster times he still talks fine and the good side is that I have his blue crate thing.
You drop that thing on the sidewalk, guarantee the pavement’s cracking there
All this cranky needs is a classic face and some paint to be perfect

This set was $70 back in the day and I'm surprised it was more expensive than the Zip Zoom Logging Adventure. This was the most expensive Thomas Trackmaster set that was a combination of other sets and engines prior to TM2. Needless to say I never had it and probably never will as a model train store sold just Cranky for $50 back in 2017.
Watched this after to going to fully vehicle related store mostly Thomas and faceless trains.. Got a conductor hat and a pull back bus. And now I finally get the bachmman price jokes. Jesus Christ.
Would it look more scale with the O Gauge Thomas or G Gauge Thomas models?
They probably need the full 6 volts you can get by wiring batteries in series. A bigger battery can supply more amps, but it's still just 1.5 volts. They could have gone with a 9 volt for a single battery solution, but they probably thought the weird snap on contacts of a 9 volt battery were too much for the kiddos.
I really want to see you do a mega layout without a big harbor area for cranky
