No jump cuts. No editing. I love the raw, unfiltered videos on the side channel; it gives me something to watch and pass the time with. I absolutely love it, thank you.
I agree we can fast forward if we want, but then maybe having chapters would be nice, like a few timestamps on how the game develop around (for example having a 30 minutes chapter of "1 on 1 tedium" and then when it finally open "victory is ours"?)
@@mrlama1993yeah it was nice seeing them learn from mistakes and change strategy. All being beginners is so funny because they are some determined son of a guns. They all had potential
The way you have it now with shorter edited videos on the main and then the longer uncut here is the PERFECT balance CG! That way some will gravitate to whichever style they prefer, while many of your viewers will enjoy both as they are!! Keep up the amazing work
I think timestamps would be the way to go in my opinion. I like the raw footage and enjoyed sitting through this video. But, maybe to save some time, you just mark the “Setup”, “Stalemate” and “End game” so people can skip through as they please.
@@Pickled_Poet I mean, just labelling it as those three would be perfect, labelling it as "end game" instead of win/loss for example, and timestamps are mainly for people who want to semi-actively watch the video
Long matches are fine as long as they're good matches and you keep an interesting analysis commentary rolling. Jump cuts through "45 mins of stalemating" is also fine.
i for myself dont mind those videos being long or longer than usual as i really watch them by the side when im grinding in games or just generally idling but all in all i love watching it even when it means just kinda understanding even certain plays from like how blue and green have been through the majority of the game and you just sitting at the sidelines stacking up more and more troops xD
NO EDITING. I like the longer video. I watched the whole thing. Good stuff man! I love that you are not arrogant too like some of these other guys that play and post. Keep it up.
Wow! I was sure you lost once blue smack your cap with that 600+. Green should've had it after that, but that just shows your experience and their lack of. GG! Loved the unedited video. Really made it exciting to watch.
at 58:43 you missed trade on 3 with option for elimination blue for 5 cards (360 vs 210) I guess this was cheaper way to progress than leaving eastern part of map.
I enjoy these long videos. Hearing your thought process as you battle it out with tactics and strategies is engaging personally. Keep up the good work!
I don't think jump cuts are needed but, if you could add time stamps at the points where you feel there are significant changes to the game state that would be cool.
Don’t do jumpcuts, do timestamps/video chapters for the really long ones. That way, it’s easy to skip if you want to, but the full video is there for those of us that want it! It’s probably about the same work as jumpcuts, too, I’d assume
no jump cuts but use the chapter feature to break up the vid. Even into just "the prime game" and "the stall" it would encourage people to take happily ignore some bits and let it run in the background.
Insane video, i said to me two hours ago to go to sleep and then it's 3 a.m. it was so incredible. I should have check the time of the video but it is what it is. Thank you!
one way that you don't need to edit it and stuff is in the description you can leave time stamps instead of cutting up the video? i know it leaves less viewtime on the video but it leaves more people happy.
Ngl I stumbled onto this and not the main channel and I just never went to the main 😅 I love this channel for the long videos that are entertaining and I like his voice he could read audio books
no jump cut is ok, I once played a similar game against a master and what he did was put 30 stack to prevent me from having a card trade as he won more than me per turn in the end he won.
When he had an early trade, 200 blue on cap, 4 blue territories, and 5 cards in blues hands I was SCREAMING for him to kill them and use their cards to resupply
A thought, instead of cuts you could just mark spots on the red progress bar of “big events” that happen and then those that want to watch the whole thing can and those who want to skip a bit can skip forward a bit.
58:48, should've most definitely card traded and wiped out the Blue player. You would've had guaranteed card trade again to make up for your loses and you would've had enough troops to deal with Green a few turns later since they weren't even close to having another card trade.
Your commentary is good, as long as you’re talking there isn’t a reason to edit it down. I like to know what you’re thinking in how you make decisions which is helpful in improving my own strategy.
Just so you know. I'm not sure where the balance is I haven't played in a while. But there's a point where the attackers bonus is so big that the capital defensive bonus is basically irrelevant. It sounds like you might not know that, so I hope this helps 😊.
i like the second channel for thhe long ones tbh but if u feel the need to cut maybe just jump cut on the part abt the game not progressing loved the vid. got more hyped than i do even seeing a loaded rust video lol
the most annoying thing about this for me is green never understood the asia bonus was separated into two areas and kept going back over to break it and I guess it also got them vision but they already knew your numbers after the first couple times
I’ve never played Risk, but based on what Ive learned from other YT & you (primarily) I could probably do better than either blue or green in this match. The only problem being that I dont have the muscle memory to do fast turns and possibly overlooking or forgetting certain strategies (like trapping enemy capitals or doing rounds around the map instead of only stacking on cap).
that was a very fun match to watch fully, although admittedly i did watch it in about three 35 min sessions, it is fine if you put longer games but i probably wont watch more than 1 long video every 3 days
To make caps more interesting and not just have the option to stack on caps they should do something where like every 5 rounds all caps on the board the troops there half or lose like a fairly big amount. So that on the 5th round you have to guard the cap without actually being on it. Guard around it will make for more interesting games and different strategies
I found u one Week ago and like this video style.. Long video are ok if some wanna skipe they Can Do by them self nö need for edit.. Thx for Ur content.
instead of edits or jump cuts maybe just add some time stamps or chapters for when the stalemating is happening for those that aren't interested in it so that those that like the commentary can still listen to it
I love the fact that in these videos, you showcase diplomacy with other players, demonstrating your actions and playing the sociopolitical game as well as the war-game.
No cuts please. As for edits if there is half hr of "net +4 every turn" then put something on screen or edit something in saying it, gives the option then 😊
Have you thought about recording your matches and then streaming the recording matches with you giving feedback? Still allows you to stream just no live game but you would give live feedback when people question you
Love the fact you aggressively stack next to greens capital, yet when they match you its that they don't trust you. You're actually not a great neighbour
I think "timelapses" would be better, (thou i don't know your edditing procces) i believe jump cuts don't fit for this kinda game since we lose track of what is happening
I don’t mind longer videos, watching you play got me into the game, and has improved my play. I have also learned just don’t trust allie’s, because you constantly try to when you are in a bad position, then stab your allies in the back. Not nice.
Could have sacrificed a cap, fortified into me stack with 4 or 5 cards at the end of turn, hope whoever takes the abandoned cap splits forces on it, and cap run with a 500 stack?
No jump cuts. No editing. I love the raw, unfiltered videos on the side channel; it gives me something to watch and pass the time with. I absolutely love it, thank you.

Same.
I also like it raw.

i thought that at 1 hour in then saw 49 mins left lol

This could lead to spoilers-ish. Though in a game this long, there isnt much to spoil besides the win or loss. You know there has to be some stall

To possibly tilt Green you could have used your top cap to break their bonus that you let them hold the entire game.
