    What a spectacular voice and performance. Surely one of the best sopranos singing today-and that chest voice is incredible. ❤

    The most moving rendition of this aria that I have ever heard. She is a great great artist, though little known (or seen) in the US, sadly.

    Not as fresh as it was but very beautiful and moving. Definitely superior to Anna Netrebko.
    There's an huge marketing operation going on the opera world.

      Just imagine that in October-November 2022 in Madrid's Teatro Real, Aida was produced with Anna Netrebko and Krassimira Stoyanova alternating on the title role (and two other less known soprani for a couple shows to complete the casts). The day I attended the performance as scheduled in my annual plan was Netrebko's cast, and reading the reactions from people who had watched Stoyanova, I would have gladly repeated another day to watch her. Netrebko was suprisingly correct and didn't hit wrong notes or had any perceivable singing issue (except perhaps a lot of body tension in the difficult passages), but her acting was mediocre, she was so concentrated on musicality that she didn't interact properly with the rest of the cast. I'm pretty certain Stoyanova was much better to watch acting-wise and musical-wise, and she is around 60 years old and probably past her prime.

      I like her a lot.
      Unfortunately never heard her live but she sings a lot and can still get her. I hope.

      What? I thought I heard an attractive and even vibrato

    • @mikaelb7735
      @mikaelb7735 10 місяців тому

      The vibrato is not supposed to be there. Nothing Mr Verdi wrote. Yes, her vibrato is even. Lackness of voice control/ ability.@@KingWill04

      @@mikaelb7735 Do you understand anything of singing and voice control? It does not seem to me. Always these nobodies who know nothing about singing art. Stojanova is one of the old and beautiful singing technique as it still should be today. Unfortunately this technique is lost. Mr. Verdi would be more than pleased to hear someone like her! She deserves that big applause!
