Deep listening is a goal that I have as an office manager. Thank you for the reminders to keep things short and conversations with less distractions.

Hello I work at Lowe’s, it is a great place to work. Every Saturday and Sunday I am at the Leads table at the front entrance. On any given day I interact with several hundred customers. My goal is to provide everyone with Lowe’s fantastic customer service. I can direct you to product location, how to advice on multiple fronts, sign up for credit, set appointments for our exterior services and make your day a little better. I have at times merely seconds to make a good connection before I am looking at a customer’s back.
This series and your channel have been an enormous help to me. I will be buying your book. Thank You

00:00 🎙 Listening skills are crucial for leaders; the focus of the video is improving these skills.
1:26 🚀 Listening is often undervalued, but crucial for leadership; executives spend twice as much time listening as average employees.
2:08 🔄 Benefits of being a great listener include better understanding of people, identifying emerging problems, effective problem-solving, and avoiding difficult conversations.
2:53 🎧 Good listening involves "deep listening," which goes beyond superficial tactics and includes being fully present, open, and showing empathy.
5:12 ❤ Deep listeners exhibit empathy, putting themselves in others' shoes, understanding their world, and responding in a low-key manner.
6:18 📣 Challenge: Make listening your dominant goal in conversations within the next 24 hours, using tips shared in the video.
6:44 🌐 Deep listening, being fully present, open, and empathetic, is a leadership responsibility; it contributes to building extraordinary teams and organizational culture.
7:12 📚 The video concludes the seventh and final part of the positive communication for leaders series; links to the entire series, book, and free mini email class provided.
7:39 🙏 Thank you message and sign-off from the presenters, Alex the Lion and the original King Julien.

Thank you for preparing this important topic. There is a metaphor in persian in which Rumi's master (Shams) told him about the importance of listening more and speaking less as an essence for self growth and transcendence which interestingly coincides with your advice for leaders is : "To speak is to die and to hear is to live".
