"Freedom is the first requirement of the “public interest”..."the principles of a free, non-coercive social system are the only form of the “public interest”"...so beautifully articulated...
definition of Fascism: "A governmental system with strong centralized power permitting no opposition or criticism, controlling all affairs of the nation, industrial/commercial etc. emphasizing an aggressive nationalism." This definition needs to be spread more because it's being completely altered
"Government is instituted to protect property of every sort,” “This being the end of government, that alone is a just government, which impartially secures to every man, whatever is his own.” James Madison
That quote from his inaugural speech is basically saying he thinks the people of the United States are property of the Government & they should think the same thing.
Other than still allowing publications to exist in stagnation, the institute has no interest in advancing Ayn Rand's (and our founding) ideas. If they did, the audio would be fixed. Just like every institution of interest, it has been taken over by progressives, probably in short time since it was established. They probably screwed up the audio.
Sounds super muffled like the tweeters are dead. I know sound in 1962 was much better than this. Ford Hall Forum talks have been consistently lousy in sound.

Where did you get this definition from?
Communists & fascists won't admit it,but fascism is very strongly influenced by the Communist Manifesto.
"Government is instituted to protect property of every sort,” “This being the end of government, that alone is a just government, which impartially secures to every man, whatever is his own.” James Madison
Kennedy actual entitled a July 4th speech, “The Declaration of Interdependence”??

Terrible sound quality. I could fix that. But, I'd need to hear from someone at the institute.

the audio on this is pretty bad, unfortunately.it sounds like a really good talk though.

The reason why you life is a mess, (and I know it is), is because you ignore reality or make up your own. It is reality kicking your butt.
