A medieval style cover of a song released in 2019 that was written to sound like it was from 1969 and went viral in 2022. I love the internet.

To me, it sounds more like a story of a peasant who's content living as a commonfolk, just gazing at the beautiful sunrise, taking in the sweet fresh scent of early morning as they herd their livestock. But I agree on that motion nonetheless, it does fit a love story as well.

So beautiful. The song, the medieval settings and the lyrics of the original song conjures up so many memories. I couldn't help writing a cover of sort of the lyrics. It doesn't fit the melody, but in the setting where all this happened, nothing really added up. For you Mary.
Soul of a warrior and lady of the bloody blade
when all those lights are out and all those dues are paid
    - do you really think we've come to the end of the crusade?
Don't think you are the heroes although battered and bruised
When will it dawn on you just how much you got used?
When will you see that it was you who were the fools
to think the biggest baddest boys will stick to their own rules?
And now you're trying to buy back the souls you sold
But you're running in a cage and you're chasing fool's gold
You go down like a bloody Mary
looking for a savior that you'll get someone to marry
bloody Mary, Mary on a cross
you never saved anyone with that behavior
Bloody Mary, never cross the cross
Soldier of a bloody fortune, It's time to end the wars you wage
with stolen power as a self-appointed sage
Thinking you're a godsend and a ruler and a boss
Bloody Mary, Mary, mary on a cross
But all your dancing can never cover up your loss
Bloody Mary, never cross the cross
You go down like a bloody Mary
wholly unholy with the greedy and the scary
bloody Mary, Mary on a cross
that cross was never yours to carry
Bloody Mary, never cross the cross
Deep as the sea are the sorrows that you try to drench
    Mary in a mariana's trench
Soldier of a bloody fortune, it's time to end the wars you wage
with stolen power as a self-appointed sage
Merry Mary once more will you laugh
lost in the forest, on the winter moons be-half
Yet all your efforts to get out always will always end in pain
Trying to run away inside a cage is running in vain
Why, kin, why won't you let me explain?
If it really is your goal to save your long-lost soul
lay down your weapons and return all that you stole
Lay down bloody sword and leave the murderous hoard
There's still time and there's a good ship that will take you aboard..
if you swear to free the chosen, the child of silverbraid
Give back all that you have stolen, there's no need to be afraid
Just bow and pledge allegiance to the House of Silverbraid.
And then kin, let me show you the end of the crusade.
