I found several bags of clothes that I donated to charity for a tax deduction from the dumpster near where I used to work so in essence dumpster diving can be a great way to donate to charity as well as get a tax deductible right off from the bin

As someone who used to work in a retail establishment, the reason stuff particularly clothes would be cut up is to prevent people from taking it out of the dumpster. A lot of the stuff we would try to donate but unfortunately, there are specific rules, but head offices have for donations and stuff that make it hard for companies to just give it out. As for Walmart Walmart doesn’t care about wanting to Mark sit down and get that like they don’t we would throw whole chickens because we were told to sell or make 30 of them even though we knew that we sell too and so then 28 of them would have to be pitched because they hit their expiry when I could’ve save those 28 and made them two hours later and they would’ve sold.
