Very cool dealer. Seemed very honest and open. He's right about those lazy dealers who don't price items until someone show interest. Great video guys!
I love the relationship you guys have with Joe and I could tell you respect him and try to absorb as much as you can for your own healthy growth in the business.
Great video Brother! So much comic book potential! Was getting comic book drunk watching this video. Love these buying and hanging out videos. Thanks again for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😀 👍 ❤️ 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 ❤️💯💯
These sales are legit. I've been to two of them now and can't believe the prices on these books. The only bummer is that Joe's spot is an hour and 40 minutes away from me. Can't wait for the next big tent sale in July.
Love these tent sales. I think if I had chance to go to con or 1 these tent sales I would go to the tent sale. So many comics I would love to add to my collection
I can hear Joe talk all day. If I lived in Florida I would be hitting that barn sell all the time. I personally hate it when dealers don’t price their books.
Good evening Guys What great fun. Thank you for featuring the man, he is indeed a study in greatness! What great comics he has, and yes you can do no wrong with any of those wall books. Are you guys planning any of your own sales? I love those shows as well. Keep up that great work Cheers The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
This a fukn awesome vid, yall. The commentary he provided about sellers not pricing their items -most shops in the Denver area do not price their books, some price fairly at the register, but often other employees in the same store will do things like price fairly for say four books, then the fifth item may be more collectible and the price will be jacked up to ebay prices so it actually adds dollars on those other 'faily' priced books, it's sketch the way people price their books at the register as I also have to wait for the employees to bother to price the books as well... Great vid now.
Despite the notes on the cgc label Phantom Stranger is not a try out for Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing #1 came out the month before. Great cover though, I have this
The wisdom of Joe: that's what I like about him, he says it like it is. I fully agree with him, any dealer who doesn't price the comics is either lazy or will try to slip in a premium when you present a comic at the cash register. Either way, if I have to make the effort of finding out the price then the store does not deserve my business. Every comic you showed Angelo looked to be in beautiful condition and there were a lot of bargains; yes, I would have swapped a few of the comics you bought for a Silver Ager, those 1960s books are getting harder to find. Nevertheless, you chose well.
Had guys like joe here in Pittsburgh. Father and son business and then the old man got sick and the son sold off the remainder of their books to some place in new jersey and the business was sold and turned to an rpg and trading card game store
When my man said "Serious buyers walk away," I felt that one down to my comic collecting core. I will absolutely walk away. And it is lazy. With as much down time as some retailers have, there's no way they shouldn't be able to keep up at least a bit with pricing, or do it at all. Same with organizing. Why do people hate alphabetical order? 😂 I want an idea of what I'm gonna be paying before I even step to the counter. Same goes for comic shops and booths at conventions. I've been to a shop that didn't have books priced already. Haven't stepped foot back inside there in years. Dude has a nice setup there and all those damn comics. No way I'm leaving without having dropped a few hundred. Wouldn't wanna resist that. Diggin the hunting content as always, you two. Keep it up! Unintentionally long comment. Happy hunting!
I really liked the X-Men pick ups. Especially #168. And I saw the video with the Geoff Johns thing. I think I even commented on it. That did not sit well with me. Big money is ruining some aspects of the conventions. You would not have seen that kind of garbage years ago.
I love this guy. I hate it when people look up a price on a comic. It's such a bogus move. Although I can't speak to the internal politics of Megacon, he's right on the money when he says it's the comic sellers that are reason Cons exist.
Is the only way to buy from him through the barn sale? I'm seeing two copies of the ASM first appearance of Carnage in there. How would someone buy from him?
@The Comics Den I didn't see the condition you guys have an amazing eye for condition. Actually, I'm learning a lot from you guys about being a bit more picky with books I intend to flip.
@@williamoscar1234 I passed on it becauae it had a few issues with chipping and some corner problems but for $20 it was a great pickup. Thanks for watching!
Nothing more irritating than dealers that want to look the book up at check out..the way to break them is wear them out looking stuff up and then don't buy anything. I wish I lived closer to him I'd stay broke..
Weirsdale Fl. Once a month. Joe used to travel around the state, but by staying on his own property he can pass more savings on. He is really a great guy, 10 years ago he would give my now college aged daughter stickers, and little things, as well as spin the wheel, just for putting up with me combing through the 50 cent boxes, 10 years later and he still asks how she is, now that she's to cool for comics.

I wanted ALL of those keys on the wall , but great pick-ups Angelo !!! See ya soon big guy !!!
Dude, I wish we had a guy here like him. He is freaking awesome!
old school dealers are the best! This guy is classic.
Gotta be one of the coolest sales out of all of the comic scene, im happy this exists somewhere
That first Agatha for 20, that's crazy those prices overall were amazing
Joe is such an awesome dude! Awesome video, Angelo.
Thank you!
Joe throwing the real heat
I think you did very well on your pick ups. Unfortunately, I would never do well at the store because I would want to buy everything.
I like that guy. He is a good dealer!
Nice books, wish we had something like this near where I live.
If I ever make to Florida definitely going by there to get some books
I NEED that warhammer! been searching forever for it haha

I really wish I was there!!!
Favorite Book There Was Darkhawk #1... Got a Ton Of it But Always Could Use Another 😂😆😅
“I don’t care if it’s captain kangaroo. “
🤣
Thanks Joe mentioning the lazy dealers. Have one in my town. They are only surviving because they offer pull services.
Despite the notes on the cgc label Phantom Stranger is not a try out for Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing #1 came out the month before. Great cover though, I have this
Not going to lie that infinite crisis #3 first appearance of Jamie Reyes was catching my eye
I have it graded!
Love this guy straight up and tells it how it is
Can you ask Joe how much he have on the Ghost Rider #1 (solo title, Johnny Blaze)
I remember grabbing that Saw Rebirth comic for free at the first Wizard World Boston.
i would've paid $20 for the FF 94. Seemed like a great sale. I probably would've spent 3 or 4 grand on books there as the prices seemed very fair.
These are the videos where I wish I lived in the US
I dont care if it was Captain Kangaroo 😂 He's on the money

Great pick-ups ! What did one of us "Canadian's" do to get him all upset ? 🙂
😅🤔 good question!
217 Boxes of $0.50 cents Comics! 📚📚📚
🤯🥳
Laying out all the truths today.
Sagely Advice
what are those white railings they use to display the comics? thinking of displaying mine that way at home
Hey Angelo, do you still have tat Saw you picked up from Joe in this Video? If so, I’m interested brother.
Had guys like joe here in Pittsburgh. Father and son business and then the old man got sick and the son sold off the remainder of their books to some place in new jersey and the business was sold and turned to an rpg and trading card game store
Very nice collection. I would not sell my books like that.
Is that fantastic four 48 n silver surfer 1 still available
Try and get a deal on that silver surfer #1!
Great vid, just missing red hair :)

He’s spot on with dealers not pricing and mega con.
Where the hell do you find places like this!???
Where is this?
Is the only way to buy from him through the barn sale? I'm seeing two copies of the ASM first appearance of Carnage in there. How would someone buy from him?
Unfortunately he does not sell online but he has a sale every month at his home for everyone to attend.
@@TheComicsDen Dang I live in Oklahoma lol.
Where is he located? I would love to go
That FF4 1st app of Agatha was a snap off for 20 bucks
Dropped the ball HARD on that one

Those prices for raw books.....ridiculous
You guys have an online shop ?
Were is this location...I wish to take my husband
Where do you get your pricing stickers
They are labels that Joe prints off a label maker using the computer. It takes a lot longer but it looks nice and makes prices more visable I think.
Is that ghost rider 1 still for sale.
I think it is still for sale but not 100%
Why don’t individual booths have a little marker (e.g green vs red) to indicate willingness to be filmed? Seems like a common sense solution
I would give Joe my collection. I'm ready to throw everything in the dumpster.
!😲
dude I would have spent 5k there why not grab the Agatha for $30??
Where ?
