Some of the charms required for it can only be obtained in New Game +, but I've put together a Fiery Ghost build which has been pretty fun to use. Basically, it's a build that maximizes your ability to set enemies on fire and scare the crap out of their friends while doing it. MAJOR CHARMS: Incineration - Enemies struck by Black Powder Bombs catch on fire and deal Burn damage to nearby foes Blazing Flame (NG+ only) - The Way of the Flame inflicts additional damage. Heavy attacks spread fire to nearby enemies. MINOR CHARMS: Enduring Affliction - Status effects last 50% longer and deal 50% more damage Fire Doctrine - Burning an enemy has a 15% chance to Terrify nearby enemies Steadfast Fire (NG+ only) - Greatly increases the length of time you can use the Way of the Flame And then for the last minor charm, you can either use another Charm of Fire Doctrine if you have it, to raise your Terrify chances even further, or you can equip the Charm of Fleet Foraging to give you a 15% chance to recover quickfire ammo a melee kill, which helps keep you stocked on Incendiary Oil so you can keep using Way of the Flame. The big strengths of this build are that the Charm of Enduring Affliction makes enemies burn for much longer, so typically hitting them with just one fire arrow is enough to burn them to death, and when you combine the Charm of Blazing Flame with the Moon Stance's tornado attack, you can very easily whirl around and set big groups of Mongols on fire in seconds. You can use this build on pretty much any set of armor, but I've been using it with the Ghost Armor for the additional chance to Terrify.
A slight variation you can do with the Heavenly Strike build if you're on NG+ is to replace the Charm of Resolve II with one of the Fortunate Return charms, and then equip the Charm of Heavenly Rebuke in one of the Major Charm slots. You won't gain as much Resolve, but you'll occasionally get a free kill by having lightning strike a random enemy when you use Heavenly Strike.
there's 1 build ppl might missed , Samurai clan armor with Versetile skill charm for major , 2nd major of your choice , for minor , reslience III . inari might , silence (for resolve) , divine healing II , it makes us immortal as long as you dont get hit twice instantly (except lethal mode ) cuz evertime you got hit you get 1 resolve and 1 heal = full health and you can always take 2 hit b4 dying xD
Eh, depends on how you build it. With Versatile + Deadly Return, you will refill 100% of your current ghost weapon; and with Versatile + Divine Healing II, you can heal 95% of your HP with one resolve. Just imagine, you could spam Kunai, Smoke Bomb, Sticky Bomb and Way of the Flame all you want; and it only takes 4 resolve to get a complete refill.
dude. Ive played this game for hundreds of hours on both consoles and you just taught me a lot. the limitless arrows. the fact that stunning is a status. Using the poison bell on multiiple enemies...
For the bit at 7:22 I like to stick the Charm of Okuninushi (A utility charm) in the Charm of Versatile Skills which allows you to "Slowly recover health while out of combat" so you don't have to worry about spending resolve to heal then go and jump off a cliff and roll again :p
Omggggg. I finished HFW with your loadouts and builds and I started GoT and is playing the DLC rn and I was literally thinking about "God I wish there was a youtuber liker Arktix to talk about GoT builds" lesggooo
its so sad that u have to equip the charm of carnage to make te game with more blood and then removing the others charms, but its cool because it makes the game harder and i like challenges
My favourite build is the fire build, its the kensei armor with the 2 way of the flame charmes from new game+, charm of inaris might the charm that has a 15% chance of giving u a quick throwable on melee kill and the charm wich has a 15% to terrify enemys on kill and charm of versitile skills to boost the 2 charms with the 15% chance
The build I used to complete all collections: Outfit: Traveler’s attire (max upgrade) Charms: Mizu-no-kami Charm of Silence Charm of Fortunate Return x2 Charm of Fortune 1 and 2 Perfect parry for resolve gain plus heavenly strike to trigger the effects of the other charms making it easy for me to heal or revive during battles.
Thanks for these! love your Horizon vids. Been following you since you were small time before HFW came out. I’ve been wanting to replay Ghost for awhile now, so stoked when I saw your name pop up, and recent vids at that! You truly give quality content. Keep up the stellar work!!
Hey thanks! I really appreciate your support all this time 😄🙏🏼 Glad you enjoy the videos and I hope you’re having fun with your new playthrough of Ghost!
Well done for discovering the Charm of Ryuujin with the Sarugami Armour! My other favorite over-the-top build is the Flaming Sword build! Kensei Armour, Charm of Blazing Flame, Charm of Fleet Foraging, Charm of Fire Doctrine, Charm of Fortune, Charm of Enduring Affliction, and Charm of Advantage. Burn, baby burn!
I think my favorite build is what I call the terrifying heavenly strike build. I build it like you normally do just with the ghost armor. After killing someone a lot of times you terrify someone and can just walk up and kill for free resolve. That with the resolve gain makes it crazy plus the ghost stance allows you to get out of trouble and grab resolve as well also breaking the continual heavenly striking up for some insta kills is nice.
[Ghost armor + Minor utility + Yuriko's keepsake + Fortune II] is a good base as well. Arrows now cause poison (60% chance) and terrify, also if you kill in stealth the "terrify" is buffered for when you're discovererd.
With the Izanagi Charm you have 40% of getting back the arrows fired, so with the lucky charm, you always get back your arrows as long as you do headshots, but it's guarented if you use the automated targeting. This way you can replace the abundant reserve charm for something more useful.
Great guide. Unfortunately, most of these builds call for at least one charm, legend progress, shrines, etc., that require me to go deep into act 3 or iki. Versatile skills, ikazuchi no Kami, Fortune 2, deadly return, ghost armor, Massive from inari shrines. That being said, I will definitely use these builds once I get there.
I wanted to play recklessly so I started using a mix of the tank build and the ghost build making an undead samurai build. Basically just switched Rejuvenation for Deadly Return. Forgoing stealth, I just end up rushing in for a smoke assassination then holding my ground until I’m dead, revive and repeat.
Some suggestions for these builds: *Invincible Ghost* Rejuvenation regenerates .1 resolve per second and it will stop working once you have 2 (4 if boosted by Versatile). Not bad for duels, but almost useless in other situations; especially since you have so many resolve gain bonus. Better take it off and replace with Inari's Might for double massive bonus to melee damage. This will also allow Deadly Return to get boosted by Versatile. By default, DR will recover 50% of your current ghost weapon upon revival - but Versatile will increase this number to 100% (full refill). Ikazuchi-no-Kami is bad. The bonus is 25% of base chance; like Fortune but half as potent. The highest Terrify chance you can get from Ghost armor is 40% (level 5 upgrade) + 20% (Fortune I) + 20% (Fortune II) + 10% (Ikazuchi-no-Kami) = 90% on melee kill. There are better major charms if you're looking for survivability, like Unseen Respite. It stacks with Healing Incense technique, allowing you to recover over 50% health with a single smoke bomb. If that's not enough, you could also replace Resolve II with Divine Healing II. That will let you heal 94% HP with just one resolve; perfect when paired with Deadly Return. *Terrifying Ghost* If you want to increase Terrify chance as high as possible, then yes, go with Ikazuchi-no-Kami. But Mizu-no-Kami is overall more useful; and it's still in theme with the build because Perfect Parry also has Terrify chance. If you are using Fortune, consider replacing Inari's Might with Dual Destruction II. The latter is random and less consistent but the bonus also extend to stagger damage, making it more useful for duels. *Infinite Arrows* I used to run with the exact same combo, but then I realized I could have infinite ammo just fine with Izanagi. Shooting one arrow may give you two in return: when Izanagi trigger and when you retrieve arrow from victim. Unlike Abundant Reserves, there's no need for "preparation" - and you don't have to stop shooting just to get ammo. If you're willing to give up Sugaru's Sight, you can make a more adaptable build with Versatile, Izanagi, Inari's Might, Silence, Swift Return and Fortune. No triple shot, but you still have infinite arrows and fight much better at close range. *Infinite Kunai* Kunai doesn't deal enough damage to kill most enemies in one-hit, not even with Kensei and two charms of Advantage. Besides, it's counterproductive; if you kill enemy with kunai, then you won't have a chance to recover ammo with Fleet Foraging. Sarugami is unique because its Perfect Dodge counter attack has extremely high stagger damage *and* wide area of effect. With Versatile, Broken Barrier, Silence and Resolve II, you can easily recover 1 Resolve for each staggered enemy.
@@NotMe-vx4vl You mean Charm of Fortune? The bonus is calculated according to base chance. For example, combining it with Ghost armor will give you 40% x 1.5 = 60% Terrify chance. What if you add a second charm of Fortune? The terrify chance will be 40% + 20% (Fortune I) + 20% (Fortune II) = 80%; Fortune I and Fortune II stack with each other, increasing the likelihood chance-based effect by 2x (100%).
@@lucasw2578 My vote goes to Ronin attire. It's available early in the game, great for combat and stealth, plus it's mandatory for final battle. At level 3, it gives major bonus (+10) to melee damage. Fyi, Sakai Katana deals 25 damage at level I and 60 damage at level VII. All health and damage reduction effect are pretty much worthless on Lethal; and you want to avoid getting hit at all, so Samurai Clan is ill-suited. Sakai Clan has damage bonus just like Ronin, but it's only unlocked in Act 2; Ronin has better second and third perks. Gosaku is redundant; enemies are vulnerable to light attacks after parry/dodge, no need to stagger them first - especially on lethal where 1 or 2 hit is enough. Tadayori is extremely strong, but only if you have the necessary charms.
I actually have 4 builds in New Game+ at medium difficulty all arrow charms are on tadayori armour all duel and fight charms are on Sakai clan armour all resource charms are on travellers atire and all ghost type charms are on ghost armour. It is difficult to change among them but once muscle memory builds up using all different charms comes really handy for different types of combat.
@@ArktixOfficialDo u usually have more fun using the Sarugami, Gosaku, or Kensei armor? Because I’m confused which one of those I should use and make a build out of.
My archer build is basically getting arrows back with headshots, and the two poison and fortune charms. It is not the infinite arrow build but it gets close.
One of my favourite builds has charm of versatile skills with the charm that extends the duration of the way of the flame The fire sword ability normally is cool, but only lasts a couple seconds. With this combination it feels like the fire never wants to go out, you can take out entire mongol encampments with a single charge (Just be careful because things like pulling out your bow will cancel the ability no matter what)
Yeah the flame duration charm is +13 seconds, doubled to +26 seconds with charm of versatile skills, on top of the base 7 seconds of the skill. 33 seconds of unblockable attacks is quite insane
My favorite build: Ghost armor Charm that makes defense easier Charm of fortune Charm that raises terrify chance by 25% Charm of resolve (+30% gains) Charm of healing (+15% gains) Perfect parry counterattack skill This raises my chance to terrify to 200%, I plan on playing DLC only to make it stronger.
LOL infinite arrows is a long winded way to get infinite supplies by selling the free arrows you get, As long as you have enough to shoot the 3 arrows you can just infinitely make more to sell. Maxed carry, you can get about 30+ at a time for like 5 sec worth of shooting the ground. Boom 30 supplies, or 1 linen without having the do last checkpoint. Not bad if youre in a pinch and need an item you can buy and dont feel like looking for it.
I’m having fun with my build Kensei Armor -Charm of Abundant Reserves -Charm of hidden blades -Charm of Advantage -Charm of Advantage -Charm of silence -Charm of Resolve II Thinking about switching Charm of Abundant Reserves for Charm of Uneven Standing because of the extra resolve it can bring. Will try out some of the builds mentioned in this video and the builds in the comments.
One thing i wished this game did like GOW is that they had end game content. Whereas in this after beating the game theres nothing else to do. I really hope for ghost 2 they will add end game acitivities for us to do. Endless mongol waves, kill a certain in an amount of time, stealth kills, uber boss fights. My only wish!
I remember discovering the unlimited heavenly strike build on the PS4, didn't use it for very long after I realised all fights became ∆+O over and over till they were all dead...😂
*There's a neat, FUNNY trick you can pull on the prisoners/hostages on the field on Iki Island. When you shoot them while in the pillory with a flaming arrow, their pillory will magically disappear and they will stand up and run to a different spot, then kneel down and the pillory instantly returns as if nothing happens😆 unfortunately this doesn't occur to tied up prisoners*
For me it chances depending on group or duels. For group: versatile, amaratuse, enduring aflection, bludgeoning, broken barrier, silence For duels: versatile, susanoo, enduring aflection, slience, bludgeoning, and inari's might
2nd playthrough and have been doing minimal stealth, rather focusing on melee combat with smoke bombs and bow. Use the Hero of Tsushima armour, but wonder if there's anything worth getting before I can get the Sarugami. Cheers Fantatsic video as per. Why don't you have more subs? 😂
Best build for jin is samurai clan armor fully upgraded and charm of mizo no kami charm of resolve 3 and charm of versatile skills charm of resistance 3 charm of silence charm of inaris might
Hey Ark, can I make a suggestion for a future GoT vid? I am in ng+ Act 2 (pc, m/kb) I have all the armors, including Iki and the uber charms, and pretty much upgraded everything. What I cannot, Cannot, get down is the timing on Standoff and Perfect Parry even when I am wearing the armors that boost them. I've watched other vids, seen the 'watch the feet' thing, but there is some foul up between timing and keystrokes I am failing on so my second standoff oppenent fails and perfect parry just doesn't. When you ran your vid on the HFW arena challenges, you aced the m/kb timing I was missing, including the caveats on button mashing. I don't think I am the only m/kb player experiencing this, at least I hope not.
Hmm. I haven’t played on PC myself, but I heard there were bugs with standoffs in the earlier patches. Have you updated your game? I’m also wondering if you’re maybe using a Bluetooth m/kb or maybe have frame gen on. Those things can introduce input lag, which could make it difficult to get the timing right.
@@ArktixOfficial Fair enough. I think the gameplay hits its stride once you unlock the Burst Abilities. But I will admit that the world-building is not nearly as interesting as it could be.
Yeah I was enjoying the boss fights. But the regular mobs were pretty basic to blast though and, like you said, I think the biggest problem for me was the story, world, and characters just weren’t engaging to me. I guess I just like having a good story to follow through a game. Or at least a really rich world to explore. Not hating on the game them. I’m glad people enjoy it. I just couldn’t get into it.
@ArktixOfficial Makes sense. Though, for Shift Up's first-ever non-mobile game, what they've done is impressive. Side note: have you ever done a video on the different Rage Abilities in God of War Ragnarök? They are one of my favourite things about that game, especially compared to God of War 4.
Sorry, but for the infinite heavenly strike build, how do the charms work? how is it a 60% chance if you have both charms of fortune? Shouldn't it be a 100% chance?

This raises my chance to terrify to 200%, I plan on playing DLC only to make it stronger.
That's not how those charms work. Two Charm of Fortune will only boost Ghost armor terrify chance from 40% to 80% (100% or 2x increase).
Bro thank you so much, I've been wanting good builds since I'm preparing for new game+
I’m having fun with my build
Kensei Armor
-Charm of Abundant Reserves
-Charm of hidden blades
-Charm of Advantage
-Charm of Advantage
-Charm of silence
-Charm of Resolve II
Thinking about switching Charm of Abundant Reserves for Charm of Uneven Standing because of the extra resolve it can bring.
I was confused why for iron will it took you 3 resolve but it only takes me 2, then I realized it depends on the game difficulty
I remember discovering the unlimited heavenly strike build on the PS4, didn't use it for very long after I realised all fights became ∆+O over and over till they were all dead...😂
What a brilliant and insightful video. Way to go Artix.
My Gosaku armour build:charm of susanoo;charm of versatile skills;charm of bludgeoning;charm of broken barrier;charm of fortune;charm of silence!
For me it chances depending on group or duels. For group: versatile, amaratuse, enduring aflection, bludgeoning, broken barrier, silence
For duels: versatile, susanoo, enduring aflection, slience, bludgeoning, and inari's might
This and ac odyssesy brought my enjoyment to gaming. The last time I enjoyed gaming was ratchet and clank.
You can also use sensei ishikawas armor in new game plus which is actually better than tayadoris armor
Nice video. I would like to see a build for Goaku's armour. Make it tanky af. Its my favourite armour if i want to go full on samurai mode.
Well somebody had to do a phd in this thing...this vids a W bro....
Charm of perfect landing is my favorite to get easy resolve 😊
2nd playthrough and have been doing minimal stealth, rather focusing on melee combat with smoke bombs and bow.
Use the Hero of Tsushima armour, but wonder if there's anything worth getting before I can get the Sarugami. Cheers
Fantatsic video as per. Why don't you have more subs? 😂
Use the travelers attire until sarugami
is there a way or mod for quick changing armour?
2:30 say that again
When is the earliest I can make that ghost build? Is everything available after getting the ghost armor in act 2?
Best build for jin is samurai clan armor fully upgraded and charm of mizo no kami charm of resolve 3 and charm of versatile skills charm of resistance 3 charm of silence charm of inaris might
You should make a video on how to animation cancel
Amazing guide!
6:24 was overkill lmao😭
I have a heavenly thunderstrike build with gosakus armor that's pretty op
Nailed it, Again!! I LOVE IT!😁
Been waiting for this! Woop
Can you like do charm builds for like every armor? Plsssss
How can i unlock the stile of the Ghost armor on the first bulld ?
TF is he doing to that fox? Nice video by the way. Just started playing the game last week. Plays smooth on my mediocre PC too.
you can swap last charm with kill will recover ammo
The sad thing is that he isn't doing a single focused melee build
I played 3 quarters of this game without these builds.. i didn't even knew tf they did🤣
Nice vid!
@@ArktixOfficial Game is up to date, m/kb is direct plugged in. I will look further into settings then. But thanks!
"Heavenly strike is obviously the best special attack because it is unlockable"
*Dance of Wrath*
Great video!
Have you thought of doing videos on Stellar Blade? It's a fantastic game with a few build varieties as well.
Yeah I started playing it and, unfortunately, I wasn’t really enjoying it. Glad you are though!
They are one of my favourite things about that game, especially compared to God of War 4.
hey i Just wanted to ask which color is that on the Ghost Armor
Didn't know people still post GoT love the vid
Thanks! The PC port came out a few weeks ago, so there’s a whole new group of players now.
Cool game thinking about buying it
whats the sword kit call for the build u use
Why does it take you 3 resolve for iron will?
Sorry, but for the infinite heavenly strike build, how do the charms work? how is it a 60% chance if you have both charms of fortune? Shouldn't it be a 100% chance?
just go full minor attack charms with sakai clan armour. This is the way
of all the builds only fire is the best in terms of cheesing the game, but its not like brainless cheese, it's actually f'in cool XD
How did you get the robe on the samurai clan armor
Why don’t you use the ronin attire or another stealthy armour rather than the commander which doesn’t perk the stealth in combat
How to grab fox and dance silly?! I want to learn that! 😅❤🎉
Mongol:Chi Kha Gho!!! ❤❤❤
Wouldn't the charm that makes the iron will give u 50% health be gud 4 the 1st build?
Can u share all charms location for unlimited heavenly strike build
4:01 how did you make tadayori’s armor look like that?
Quest on Iki island. Google: Aloy's Horizon Forbidden West Outfit in Ghost of Tsushima
bro i want to know how can i put sets of charms for every armor ?
Is there a way to save the builds in the game?
Got when to use the travelers
When are you going to post combat tips video? Slight hint please
Coming next! 👍
I don't have an access yet on iki island therefore I cannot use any charms that is at iki island
What ghost armour dye is that
I wish I knew about the infinite heavenly strike build before fighting goddamn eagle boss 🥲
And then having 0 fun?
